also a few weeks ago i prayed in tongues for an hour before my friend picked me up she had knee trouble for 7 years and she would cry i layed hands on her knee and prayed for healing and her knee was instanstly healed.
Thank you so much for sharing your testimony. I am now in the habit of praying in tongues for at least 45 mins in the mornings and sometimes throughout the day. I have felt a significant shift in my life. I am more stable emotionally, joyful, and peaceful. Conversely, I am spiritually stronger, and have been able to incorporate praying and fasting more regularly and for longer periods. Overall, I feel closer to God and can see evidence of this in how I think and act. I have always been able to speak diverse tongues, so I hear multiple languages, and sing multiple languages, although there is one that I tend to use more frequently. Often, I can tell I am just praising God because I am filled with awe and wonder of God.
@messenger8854 yes, I've seen the effect on my walk as well. I started praying in tongues for 30 min to 1hr every morning starting early last month. My walk with God has gotten so much deeper and my love for Him has gotten so much deeper as well. I'm also getting more revelations and deeper spiritually as well.

The benefit of speaking in tongues cannot be overstated, and like you, I have found myself speaking more and more in tongues in the last year, and it has made a huge difference in my walk with the Lord. I am 70 this year, have been in full-time ministry for more than 30 years, and I even have a seminary degree - but I must say, your testimony is better than most of the classes I took! And, by the way, concerning the sense of "heavy" in God's presence makes sense: the word for weight and glory is the same word in Hebrew - kabōd! God bless you, and keep it up.
I am in this exact situation right now. I was filled with thr Spirit and spoke in tongues for the first time in 2004 but fell away for many years. I ammunder heavy oppression currently, just under 2 years after returning to the Lord. He has been speaking to me A LOT about praying in the Spirit lately and so that's exactly what I've been doing. I've personally always spoken in full heavenly sentences but I've heard many people say they began with a word or two and of you think about it, the angels around the throne repeat the same word over and over for eternity...holy.

Yes and Amen! Thank you for your testimony. I needed to hear this. I stopped speaking in tongues for the most part of 20 years after I married my husband, who was not full of the spirit. He died and I went back to full gospel. I need to pray in the spirit more. I did have a really neat thing happen in my car. I sing these songs in another language. They are like ethnic fun fast praise songs in tongues. Fills me with joy cause I know I can't do that on my own. It only happens in my car when I'm traveling in a certain area, like there may be a portal there.

I went to see Kevin Zadai two months ago in Phoenix Arizona and was baptized in the Holy Spirit and I started praying in tongues a little before his conference and I was hit with so much anxiety and lack of patience at first so Kevin told me to press in harder and renounce everything of the enemy and the harder I press in each night the heavier the anointing gets and the presence of God is so amazing so peaceful and so emotional that it's not of this world I recommend it to everyone everyday!
Hello, I have been praying for the Baptist of the Holy Spirit and for evidence of speaking in tongues for the last five years. I prayed with someone today who said that I am Baptist with the Holy Spirit, and I was speaking in tongues. However, I do not feel like my tongue sounds right. Now in my heart, I am praying from the bottom of my heart. I just want it to be real and not fake. Please remember me in your prayer. I need this gift if I do not already have it. I need to be filled with the Holy Spirit and the evidence of speaking in tongues. It's my only desire in life.
You should take that 777 off your screen name. Why are you using 777? Christians have been duped into using it by numerologists. 777 isn't any godly number, and I speak from experience as I had it included in a shoulder tattoo decades ago when I was in rebellion. Wasn't I surprised to discover that it's the title of a book by Aleister Crowley no less. One of his most evil writings is "777" The Bible warns us not to get involved with witchcraft or sorcery. While sorcery includes mind altering chemicals and substances, witchcraft encompasses numerology and Gematria as well. I got tricked into it by listening to so-called Christian rockers in the 70s and 80s, guys like Larry Norman who used numbers and symbology in his music and on album liner notes. I used to sorta joke with people "yeah well when they start passing out 666's I'll just say no thanks, I've already got my number right here!" but looking back, that was a foolish thing for me to say. (I've long since asked the Lord's forgiveness for the tattoos I've got, and will not get another.) If you ask people why they use that number you will get a variety of answers, and none of them are from the Bible, beyond saying that the Bible uses the number 7 a lot. Well... okay, so what? The number 40 stands out more prominently to me, everything seems to take 40 years or 40 days etc. Nowhere in scripture are you instructed, or even suggested that you observe this number. Just wanted to let you know and invite you to watch some of my stuff too.

Thank you for sharing your testimony. You don’t know how much this helps me and answers my questions. I was baptized in the spirit when I was 14 and never speak in tongues. Always wondered about it when I see others do it but not willing to do it for fear of doing it wrong. I’m 22 now and just a week ago I started speaking in tongues but it was like a word only I kept repeating over and over and i was starting to ask myself if it was supposed to be like that and the lord brought me here. Not only that but the feeling of Gods presence washing over you and finding the truth in his word. I’m really blessed🙏. Praise God & stay blessed sister😊.

@@RaceFanDana Hi yes you are right there but don't forget verses like the following: 1 Corinthians 14:2 - For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God. Indeed, no one understands him; he utters mysteries with his spirit. 1 Corinthians 13:1 - If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. Notice tongues of angels there... Some people who speak in tongues do speak actual languages. Literally some people who don't know English even speak in English tongues! Hope that shines some light. Sister, I really appreciate you for sharing this. I have great deal of struggle to keep this up. Wow, I like that scripture, ' praying in the spirit to stay in the love of god'. I'm learning that when you praying in tongues the enemy cannot interpret or understand this language, so he cannot block our prayers. I am encouraged by this message.

Thanks for your testimony. Its a blessing. The devil doesn’t really attack the spirit but he can poison it. That’s why we need to watch that we don’t develop a bitter or a grumbling spirit, or a spirit of wrath/anger or in relation to others a spirit of division, etc etc. Luke 9:55-56 So the devil can attack but it’s in a different more subtle way. Thank you for sharing this, I have practically the same problem as you at the beginning of my Christian life 39 years ago I was speaking in tongues and afterwards I met some Christians who said it was from the devil or said that the spiritual gift was over at the beginning of the Christian era etc ... And also I believe the devil was using a lie to say like: you see you just spoke in tongues and you sinned or you just did something wrong or something like that you known what I mean just to make you feel guilty. I admit sometimes I speak in tongues but not often as I should perhaps your testimony can influence me. May Jesus be with you.

Please pray for me. I am a old Christian and I used to pray in tongues in a powerful way when I was first "Saved" but now I feel dry and so oppressed and isolated. Too Much infighting in the churches, Iam right, your wrong.. blah blah blah, back and forth. Everyone thinks they are "right" and the spirit is grieved in me.. I felt like he has left me.. I dont like going to church anymore, I am tired of these dead dry churches that teach the Word ONLY, but no manifestation of the "gifts" They squash speaking in tongues, It is really sad. I am sad.. No joy anymore..?

Great teaching ! She made a great point of connecting speaking in tongues to yielding to the Spirit. Millions of believers have felt the presence of the Holy Spirit near them and have been filled with the Spirit but have never recieved the Holy Spirit evidenced by speaking in tongues because once they are filled they aren't taught that they have to yield their tongue to the Spirit in order for the filling to overflow. The overflow is the Holy Spirit baptism. I was fortunate in that when I prayed for and was filled with the Holy Spirit a pastor told me to yield my tongue to the Holy Spirit. I stopped thanking the Lord, opened my mouth and just relaxed my tongue as a way of yielding it. After a few seconds i felt control of my tongue seized by the Holy Spirit and i began to fluently speak in tongues( which is actually one spiritual language). The effect was staggering. Never had I felt such pure joy as I felt at that moment. I was " beside myself" I was so happy. Then I understood why believers shouted, danced ,and ran the aisles. Joy is being exceedingly happy.

I pray in tongues now also when I walk in the woods and drive in the car. It is very helpful and should be practized by all Christians. I recommend Corey Russell's book on speaking in tongues, 'The Glory Within,' for those who are sceptic or wants to know more. I know it might be difficult to begin, and it was for me, but it is possible.
One more quickie... Where in the Bible does it say that praying in tongues is us speaking our destiny or will of God for our lives? The will of God is clear in scripture. It is to believe on the Son. :)

Yes and Amen! Thank you for your testimony. I needed to hear this. I stopped speaking in tongues for the most part of 20 years after I married my husband, who was not full of the spirit. He died and I went back to full gospel. I need to pray in the spirit more. I did have a really neat thing happen in my car. I sing these songs in another language. They are like ethnic fun fast praise songs in tongues. Fills me with joy cause I know I can't do that on my own. It only happens in my car when I'm traveling in a certain area, like there may be a portal there.

I went to see Kevin Zadai two months ago in Phoenix Arizona and was baptized in the Holy Spirit and I started praying in tongues a little before his conference and I was hit with so much anxiety and lack of patience at first so Kevin told me to press in harder and renounce everything of the enemy and the harder I press in each night the heavier the anointing gets and the presence of God is so amazing so peaceful and so emotional that it's not of this world I recommend it to everyone everyday!

I have been praying for the Baptist of the Holy Spirit and for evidence of speaking in tongues for the last five years. I prayed with someone today who said that I am Baptist with the Holy Spirit, and I was speaking in tongues. However, I do not feel like my tongue sounds right. Now in my heart, I am praying from the bottom of my heart. I just want it to be real and not fake. Please remember me in your prayer. I need this gift if I do not already have it.
I need to be filled with the Holy Spirit and the evidence of speaking in tongues. It's my only desire in life.

Always wondered about it when I see others do it but not willing to do it for fear of doing it wrong. I’m 22 now and just a week ago I started speaking in tongues but it was like a word only I kept repeating over and over and i was starting to ask myself if it was supposed to be like that and the lord brought me here. 1 Corinthians 14:2 - For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God. Indeed, no one understands him; he utters mysteries with his spirit.
1 Corinthians 13:1 - If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.
Notice tongues of angels there...
Some people who speak in tongues do speak actual languages. Literally some people who don't know English even speak in English tongues!

That’s why we need to watch that we don’t develop a bitter or a grumbling spirit, or a spirit of wrath/anger or in relation to others a spirit of division, etc etc. Luke 9:55-56 So the devil can attack but it’s in a different more subtle way. Thank you for sharing this, I have practically the same problem as you at the beginning of my Christian life 39 years ago I was speaking in tongues and afterwards I met some Christians who said it was from the devil or said that the spiritual gift was over at the beginning of the Christian era etc ... And also I believe the devil was using a lie to say like: you see you just spoke in tongues and you sinned or you just did something wrong or something like that you known what I mean just to make you feel guilty. I admit sometimes I speak in tongues but not often as I should perhaps your testimony can influence me. May Jesus be with you.

Please pray for me. I am a old Christian and I used to pray in tongues in a powerful way when I was first "Saved" but now I feel dry and so oppressed and isolated. Too Much infighting in the churches, Iam right, your wrong.. blah blah blah, back and forth. Everyone thinks they are "right" and the spirit is grieved in me.. I felt like he has left me.. I dont like going to church anymore, I am tired of these dead dry churches that teach the Word ONLY, but no manifestation of the "gifts" They squash speaking in tongues, It is really sad. I am sad.. Great teaching ! She made a great point of connecting speaking in tongues to yielding to the Spirit.
Millions of believers have felt the presence of the Holy Spirit near them and have been filled with the Spirit but have never recieved the Holy Spirit evidenced by speaking in tongues because once they are filled they aren't taught that they have to yield their tongue to the Spirit in order for the filling to overflow.
The overflow is the Holy Spirit baptism. I was fortunate in that when I prayed for and was filled with the Holy Spirit a pastor told me to yield my tongue to the Holy Spirit.
I stopped thanking the Lord, opened my mouth and just relaxed my tongue as a way of yielding it. After a few seconds i felt control of my tongue seized by the Holy Spirit and i began to fluently speak in tongues( which is actually one spiritual language).
The effect was staggering. Never had I felt such pure joy as I felt at that moment. I was " beside myself" I was so happy. Then I understood why believers shouted, danced ,and ran the aisles.
Joy is being exceedingly happy.
Psalm 81:10- I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it....John 7:37-38- In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believe on me, as the scripture had said, out of his belly ( innermost being ) shall flow rivers of living water....v39 (But this He speak of the Spirit....

I pray in tongues now also when I walk in the woods and drive in the car. It is very helpful and should be practized by all Christians. I recommend Corey Russell's book on speaking in tongues, 'The Glory Within,' for those who are sceptic or wants to know more. I know it might be difficult to begin, and it was for me, but it is possible.
One more quickie... Where in the Bible does it say that praying in tongues is us speaking our destiny or will of God for our lives? The will of God is clear in scripture. It is to believe on the Son. :)
