You'll have to give me more than that. I've caught a ton of these fish and to my eye, that's a cutthroat. The way the spots extend from the back almost all the way to the belly looks cutty to me. I have caught many many bows with throat slashes. That is not a distinguishing feature. But this fish just has the body of a cutt IMO. I look at tons of fish every week, and it just rings the cutthroat bell in my head. Obviously, this is a juvenile fish, with par markings; that makes it much harder. But I have the advantage of having gotten a good look at the bigger fish I caught from the log jam. And that one was very distinctly a cutthroat. Which also makes me tend towards cutthroat for this one.
That first fish was a rainbow with cutthroat slashes. Some rainbows have orange slashes.
What makes you think so?
