Thanks. Just picked a used one up a few days ago. Your video helped me a lot. To those that would rather not shoot it so they don't have to clean it. Take it apart one time and you'll see it is easy. I reassemble upside down. set the irritating little black plastic piece (mystery piece) in first, recoil and rod sitting on the table installed, and set er on down.
Great video! Just purchased one of these for my son. Imagine I'll wait a bit before I clean it but will definitely be back for more videos. Thanks for posting!
I'm afraid the very thought of taking that beast apart would be enough to keep me from shooting it. I love these "disassembly and clean the Heavy Metal way" videos!
Doesn't bother me one bit!! I love tinkering and taking things apart and back together. And cleaning guns and the smell of Hoppe's # 9 shhhhhit heavenly
Better you than I sir. Cleaning a 9mm pistol, I only do 2 at a time. Hoppes makes me sick-I have liver problems. Gloves, masks the whole deal. I was going to buy one of these 22lr pistols. I just saw people having many problems. They look great & are probably really fun to shoot.I have no idea what these are selling where you are located. I think I can get them for around 275.00??- I am glad you like & can manage yours. You must be a patient man.-Thake care, God bless.
Thank you for this video!! Tried to clean it with the manual but unsuccessful.. And had a mishap with that plastic piece that went behind.. i had tio take out those pins again to make it right again.. such a pain.. but i got it right.. thank you again.
I had a 715T. "HAD" being the key word. (I won it as a door prize.) I got rid of it knowing what I had to do to break it down to clean it. I have more fun shooting my Ruger 10/22. As always, thanks for the video. (You probably spared many from the headaches doing what you're doing!)
I’m still trying to get over how much the insides are made like a marlin model 60. That’s crazy but the marlin’s are tough guns the old ones that is I’ve had mine for 27 years now still can drive nails with it at 20 yards. Be safe my friend and GOD BLESS you and your family Amen 🙏
Nice, comprehensive video... thx! Yeah, might be a fun plinker, and could even overlook the stylish-but-cheezy plastic clamshell. Except it's also surprising that a brand like Mossberg has given such little attention to real world things like maintenance, cleaning, and 'disassembly'.... especially on a small rimfire where dirt and cleaning are often more of a concern.
So I’m about to buy one. 3rd party from a buddy and he says it dosnt have firing pin. I don’t wanna order something wrong so I’m prolly gonna order a whole bolt . I can’t find the bolt for this gun tho . You said it’s the same as the plinkster? If so which model and where would I be best of finding a firing pin or bolt
@@HeavyMetalGuns the bolt in these kinda remind me of a 10/22 . If his Weapon is not firing and and I replace the bolt .(which is all one piece like the 10/22s) I should not have any troubleshooting? Obviously you’re not a gun repair shop but the internals of these seem so simple.
@@HeavyMetalGuns that bolt looks like the one off my sks rifle . To bad they didnt use aluminum for the outter shell but they just wanted to use something cheap to sell more of those 702 plinkster actions which are good actions. Nice video my friend 👍
Well now that was a interesting video but I doubt I will never need to know that much about taking apart a pistol like that. However if I ever buy one which is doubtful I will at least know how to do it.
Just saw one of these brand new at a local pawn shop a few minutes ago. I thought I remembered the model from around this video months back. That's the reason I didn't buy it last year and the reason I just passed on it now. No thanks.
Hey buddy you get a chance do a take down and cleaning of your AR I’ve never been inside a AR before that is plastic that gun your working on is plastic what’s up with gun companies nowadays
I think that is one gun i would own shot till she wouldnt no more then sell her on down the road. What a pain with the million screws and taking it apart and all. Or id send her in for a clean and lube to Mr.Paul at the heavy metal customs shop and just wait to get it back all done. Goodmorning Mr.Paul and thanks for the video.
I comment to much I know but made of plastic wow 😳 I can’t get over that I’m goin to see my great nieces Laken and Lea. Future deer hunters and gun owners. I’ve got Lea a Rossi single shot 243 I got to get Laken one now then they’ll be set.
Can't stand those Fake AR shells, the only good ones are the real AR Configurations like the S&W M&P 15-22 where's it's two pins just like a real AR and charges the same way and the cleaning is a breeze.
I’ve said this many times no such thing as to much oil buddy lot better to have to much than not enough in my opinion. It should go back same as a marlin buddy

Thanks 😊
Got one and haven’t cleaned it yet. Maybe 150 rounds through it. Now i got the audiovisual manual. Thanks
Cool!!
The disassembly process is what made mine find another home. 47 screws to be removed was a nightmare.
It is a lengthy process.
Happy Birthday Paul! I was just shooting my Mossberg 930 today!

Buy keltec. You'll love all the screws
@ShawnShipstad all the screws shows lack of a good design. Buy something designed by more competent people.

my mag got stuck inside should I take apart to remove if button isnt working

Do you know if the flash barrel is removable for a suppressor or fake can? I have chiappa m4 22lr pistol looks similar.
Not sure on the Chiappa.
Cant find it on anysite
Hard to find now.
I could get any tips on what laser beam to get for this mossberg 715P I have one and want a laser on it just don’t know which one would fit
Any that match the rail will work.
Well That was different! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Rick!!
I have a stuck magazine. Do I need to take everything apart to remove?
Shouldn't have to
Same here what did you do
Looks like the same receiver and trigger assembly in my Mossberg 702 Plinkster.
And my Rossi RS22, too funny
It’s the 702 with tactical plastic and a shorter barrel. I own both the 702 and the 715p.
And I thought the archangel kit on my 10/22 was a pain to take apart.
This one is something....

Right on
I got 1 and I need a cleaner I was about to do it myself but my kids wont let me sit that long. So I need a place to clean it up for me like brand new
It is time consuming, lol !!
That's crazy! I was thinking about getting one of these, not after seeing this...
Lol
It's amazing you didn't have any spare parts! What were they thinking when they created that mess
50 pounds of screws,lol!!
You think this one is hard. Check out the beretta m9 22lr. Everything is roll pinned and pressure fit.

how do you load and unload the magazines?
Use the side tab.
I'm a Pisces 2 brother we love 2 fixing and taking things apart great job my Pisces brother
Thanks Joe!!
Dang was thinking of buying one of these but doesn't seem like I will be purchasing one anytime soon 22lr is a fairly dirty ammo
True
It's involved like my Mossberg Blaze. 17 screws!! I over oil also!
Thanks Jim!!
How often do you really need to clean these that thoroughly? Thinking about getting one...what should I expect to pay?
It is a 22lr.,so regular cleaning. Prices from 2-300.
The outside is made cheap but the internals are solid .
They are good ones !!

Thanks Sarge!!
OMGosh!! My head hurts watching. LOL I will never clean it.
Does it cycle ok with most ammo? or do you need to use high gr ammo
Most ammo works fine.
Thanks alot
& now I just bought one off Gunbroker today
Happy Birthday Paul!!!!

You know your stuff ! Thanks brother !! Dont know if you got a night job but you made it comical as well! Lol keep it coming !!
Glad you enjoyed it
Same bolt assembly wow just a beefed up marlin model 60 I’ll be dang
Hi there Paul and happy birthday.
I just ordered one of these for shits and giggles. The funny thing is, that in California and New York this would be considered an " assault rifle".
Lol !!
Anybody found a drum that work for it?
Can’t you convert a 715t to that??
Not without a tax stamp.
Well now that was a interesting video but I doubt I will never need to know that much about taking apart a pistol like that. However if I ever buy one which is doubtful I will at least know how to do it.

As good as new.. good job Paul

These are good shooters, but a pain to clean.
This man needs an eletric screwdriver, for starters. I do not think this is with in my skill level.
Where do u live can u clean mine ? Cash 💰

A bit time consuming!!
Well close to a marlin
That’s crazy 😝
Same charging handle
Pew pew....
Don't think I want one of those things looks to be 90% plastic.
2 big plastic shells. But they shoot great.
Throw that nightmare away!!
