Sweater Surgery - How To Cut, Knit and Rejoin Seamlessly Step-by-Step

Altering the length of a knitted sweater can be done with a bit of sweater surgery! In this step by step knitting tutorial I'll be showing you how to add length to a growing child's sweater. Hi! What do you do with the carried yarn of the stripes inside?

Theres no sense in taking out all that yarn , at all. Just pick up your two rows of stitches leaving one row between them (using much smaller needles) then take out the one row thats inbetween them .

I tried to unpick the rib to lengthen a sweater but found it soul destroying so got out my scissors,all I lost was a row of yarn,found it worked for me as I don't have a lot of patience with unpicking.😊
