I’m trini 🇹🇹 & I’m so happy I see someone on UA-cam properly cleaning their meat. The turkey wing looks delicious 😋
Jason Walters thanks so much !!
Oh yes, I agree. I liked it just because of that. I'm West Indian and I appreciate that! Lol. Happy Thanksgiving!
Facts
What is the importance of cleaning it? I was always under the impression of when it's cooked it kills the germs
@@JW93. we clean it because we Caribbean people dont like eating meat slim and gack. Anything from a store especially a meat factory should be washed. Go look up mass turkey farming or chicken in a coop and then ask yourself if washing is debatable
I would’ve never thought to cut to season the meat before seasoning, I’m glad I watched this video, making this tonight for the first time, wish me luck 🤞🏾 and thank you for this video.
You’ve got this!
@@TERRIANNSKITCHEN thank you! Just put it in the oven, I gotta see how you made the green paste seasoning next so I can add that next time 🤗
I guess you are a horrible cook
I made them this week, and they where amazing.. so delicious
wife is from trinidad, she has told me about green seasoning. i will be sure to show her your recipe for that, thanks! turkey leg looks great.
D Stoakes thanks so much for your support! Blessings to you and wifey :)
I was surprised to see someone cutting into the leg and cutting off a lot of the skin. That's different than I've seen growing up in the South and Midwest here.
Making this today wish me luck. I’m sure it will be great as all your recipes are straightforward and delicious 🤤
Caribbean chefs are the best! Thank you for sharing Queen 💗✨
I made this today, I changed the recipe little but your tips were excellent
Just made a turkey leg. It was so good and tender. Thank you.
Great recipe. I am applying what I learned today and the results were amazing.
Hope you enjoy!
I made turkey legs for last Christmas, not your recipe, and they were very dry. I will try your recipe and I know they'll come out great because your recipes always come out fantastic!
Season both sides though.
Very well seasoned. Haitian made..well done.
Making your fantastic Turkey this Week. Thank you

@@SRQ-fx5hr it was amazing
Very easy to cook! I make it quite often honestly I don’t need to follow the video anymore 😌
@@andreabrown2912 do you use the green seasoning?
working on this
recipe now, so far so good, thanks
Sunday dinner sorted, thanks for the recipe!
The scoring also helps the heat penetrate the meat so its fully cooked down to the bone !:-)
Making this tonight! It smells amazing already
Idk who started that lie, but I live in the us and I wash my meat before I cook it.
Same I always do
Deadman that’s why you use bleach to wash your dishes, clean the sinks out, and wipe down the counters.
Yep. Me too. I am making turkey vdrumstick even today and I washed it nearly 10times in free flow tap water
@@deidei9188 Bleach on your dishes and prep area?
I'm Caribbean, and we always wash our meat with lemon or lime before cooking, it tastes a lot better
Friend that 🔪 had me 😨 🙀 😱 😨. ✂️ please! Trying this today! I love the soothing voice with reassurane "ok".
Excellence.
Just made it. So good. Thanks for the recipe.
OH MY THAT LOOK SO GOOD THANK FOR SHARING YOUR RECIPE....
I was shocked she seasoned that to perfection!
That looks perfect! I’m trying this recipe
I want to try this, can you give suggestions as to what to have it with?
You only seasoned one side 🙃
She may not had shown seasoning the other side bcus she used the same steps. Plus, it helped to shorten her time on camera.
Will be trying tmrw
Making this while watching

@@selamsimon6680 well personally, I guess I don't like turkey but overall it was baked well
Made this tonight and stumbled upon your channel
looks so good!! thanks
Cleaning meat with lemon is essential
Okay 😆 sounds delicious Just 1Q : why did you cook them in 2 separate dishes ?
aazitaa1 pretty sure it was just her preference
Probably to ensure equal heat distribution since the pans were small
dafoodplugg Johnny sure or maybe she serves in same dish after cooling down a bit
Guillermo Jaspe probably 😉
Or she didn't have a pan big enough to place them in at the same time.
Ya mon gee wee look good. You a top rankin chef higha. Give me scotch bonnet anytime me gwan. Ital is da only way inna disya time
Hey Terri what’s is the green sauce recipe?
Just had to sub after that 🤩
G T soo happy you did, thanks for your support :)
Looks delicious 😋
😊 thank you
Looks gréât. Will tory it.
Wagwaan. I brought 3 today form the bull ring market. £3 kg.
Yummy for my tummy
Do you need a wet Seasoning when cooking this? As in the green sauce is what I mean as in wet
What is the green seasoning, and is a good result possible with out it
If you search “Terri green seasoning” the recipe will come up. Using it in my recipes is also optional!
Looks amazing
Lil. Ext thanks so much for watching :)
Did you flip them as well in the oven?
Yes halfway it can be flipped over :)
Ive watched so many cooking videos and people really don't explore many seasonings as do i
What should the oven temp be??
Plus why would you cook them separately. The top one will cook faster?
Thank you
Looks delicious 🍗🍇🍎
That's how we wash our meats in the Bahamas
What is your green season .
with degrees do you meam F or C??? Please is urgent
Alejandra Rivas degrees C :)
@@TERRIANNSKITCHEN thank you-🌼
Terri Anns kitchen
Is the loose skin a preference or do I have to cut it off for better results?
A preference
What was that green past you used
You only season one side?
OK.
So the Turkey legs get circumcised.
This looks amazing:)
Why did you only season one side andvnot the other?
What temp for the oven?
What’s the green seasoning
How do you make the green sauce
Guys, put the oil first and then the seasonings
I just put 2 in the oven at 350f (175c) for 1 hour and 40 mins and there's a lot of reddish meat in there. Is this okay to eat???
Turkey leg meat is red
@@chefdulce4057 turkey breast is white meat but turkey legs are considered “dark meat” red meat is more beef, lamb, venison. If turkey is fully cooked it should not have any red color at all, I usually cook my turkey wings or legs for at least 3-4 hrs
couldnt see any juices at the end when u pressed it it looked very dry.
What is your green seasoning?
Here’s recipe ua-cam.com/video/KV9LSB7qt-4/v-deo.html
😍😍😍
Looking good :)
Is it safe to cook it from frozen
As long as it cooks all the way through other than that no
You just seasoned one side?
kim berry Botha sides but cut off the clip to save time🙈
Is there reason why you cut into the slits??
So the flavour goes into the turkey and cooks quicker
😋😋😍
Wonder if I’m the only white person who skipped pass the washing of the meat lol co ya know we don’t do that.
Not just a white thing, a first world country thing.
🥴
Why wouldn't you season both sides? Big fail right there?
The recipe sounds good and I’m definitely gonna try but please learn about cross contamination because I’m pretty sure you or you’re family may have gotten sick before from that raw meat on your hands touching the opening on your seasonings
My family has NEVER gotten sick from my cooking. Thanks for your time!
Too many ads just let me see the recipe 😭
All the juices going to run out the torkey too much seasoning for 2 turkey legs lot of salt
What did you baste it with
Maureen Singh the juices released as the turkey was baking 😁
Only carribean and African people know the importance of CLEANING their meat . That's why I don't eat from people here .
What's "adobo"?
It’s like all purpose seasoning :)
It is a brand of seasoning they have different types of seasoning in the one brand
@@bishangelcam1726 thanks I'll check it out online
Carribbean with hints of what sounds Australian🤔
Haha Caribbean and British :)
Aha lol ok. Thought I heard a little something in there👌🏽😀
Isn't that salty?
hell naw too tuff😂
What is the purpose of washing meat with lemon? Just to remove meat odor from the hands?
What is in the Adobo spice?
The name of a company that makes a variety of seasonings in the U.S.A.
Hmmkaayyy
Is that the st. Lucia flag?
Yes I’m Saint Lucian
How can we expect to make if she doesnt tell whats in the green season???
It says in the description tho 💀
you say O.K a lot!. great video though :)
U just soaked the turkey legs in that plastic soaked water lol. Enjoy those micro plastics
People grind my gears with the lemons. You don't have to do all that extra ish trust me.
Your knife needs sharpening :O
Completely wasted those lemons totally pointless cleaning a simple rinse will do
