I watch a UA-camr who has memory problems and she leaves a green hair tie on the handle for the garden hose. When she turns it on she puts it on her wrist to remind her it’s on. Thanks for sharing your story ✌️
I have had two benign brain tumors surgically removed (2009 & 2024) and I have some of the same issues. Reading is really difficult for me. I used to be a fast talker and now I have to think and be intentional, especially if there is high emotion tied to the moment. I'm so happy for your progress and healing.
The "happy ending" is you're mostly ok and most importantly getting better by the day, week, month! I'm sure it's hard to deal with struggling with "normal" things. I'm glad you're getting better over time and thank you for sharing.
Oh Amber, TBIs are terrible to heal from, but know that it is possible! I had severe frontal lobe injury from a car accident and had alot of the same effects you describe. The doctors are right, you need to make your brain work to reroute the pathways in your neurons. Use your phone to set timers and alarms. Make lists and use your calendar. The less you need to try and remember the better! Almost 25 years later the only effects I still deal with are migraines and losing words occasionally. Be patient and forgiving with yourself,
Hi, I really appreciate you posting this. I have had epilepsy for a good part of my life, since I fell off my bike onto the pavement at 14 (before people even wore helmets, so I'm old!). I didn't know I was having seizures for a long time, but I was having what was called partial temporal lobe seizures. At about 30 yo, I had a tonic-clonic seizure, and that's when life got "interesting". I had many of those over the years, and they became more intense after I went through menopause, until I, like you, began to feel dizzy and I lost words and whole memories. I forgot to do really important things like pay my property taxes and other bills, and almost lost my home due to those things. I tried many, many different medications for seizure control, but until 2008, my story wasn't going in a good direction. Until I tried one med that was miraculous. Keppra stopped my seizures cold. I was 58 years old, could barely form a coherent sentence or have a coherent thought, had really poor balance, and I spent many months, probably over a year, healing. I didn't have any kind of therapy, as maybe that concept was not as sophisticated as it seems to be for you, but slowly, slowly, my brain healed. I believe your brain just mainly needs time, use, sleep, and good food and exercise to heal. You have come a long way, and your brain is an amazing part of your body--it will heal, I have no doubt. A lot of people, including doctors, told me I could not regain all that I have--but here I am. Do not give up hope, and thank you for this content. It helped me, and I know will help others! 🌻
I had a TBI in March from a random seizure, falling off my bike and getting a concussion. Im amazed how similar our symptoms were: dizzy, feeling drunk, memory difficulty and trouble finding words. I'm 4 months from the concussion and feeling basically back to nearly normal. I was off work for a month and then decided to return because it felt like a good idea to use my brain and challenge myself. I had to do reduced hours, but that was necessary so I wouldn't get overtired. My heart goes out to you and I sincerely hope you heal and recover completely soon.
I have had a concussion. It am 4 years out and still have issues. I recommend setting alarms up on your phone to remind you of what needs to happen. Like I turn the washer on and 35 minutes later or so I have an alarm go off to remind me to change the laundry out. I actually dented a stores door frame with my head. It is hard but you can do this. Huge hugs and prayers.
Seems like you and my daughter come about your injuries in the strangest ways 😢 I’m happy to see that you are improving little by little and able to do more than you could. My husband was a cyclist and suffered numerous concussions and likely a TBI years ago. The road to recovery can be long and tedious, but we know so much more now than the late 70’s. Wishing you all the best and happy to see you able to make videos again, I so enjoy watching your gardens evolve ❤
Best wishes for your rapid healing Amber. I have a ridiculous concussion story too, I trod on a rake, full Three Stooges style, and it flew back and hit me in the forehead. Mine was only mild and it was unpleasant enough, I can't even imagine how awful it must be for you. Take care my dear.
FYI, make sure you are balancing Rest and Doing Things with a concussion. I got a mild concussion once (also a dumb story) and slept on average 12 hrs per night for about a week while doing my regular things during the day. That sleep was some of the best sleep I ever had.
Time for the universe to let you transition from interesting story main character over to just an interesting story teller! Wishing you peace and healing!
I had a TBI that literally changed every aspect of my life. 8 years later I’m still healing. I’m completely in your corner and cheering you on as you heal too. You are not alone. Sending love.
I went to a neighbor’s whose cattle were out. I went around back to knock on the door. There was a large goose honking at me with neck outstretched. The neighbor came out and went to the side of the house and picked up a 2x4 and looked at me when she said, “they’ll bite”! Never wanted one.
Nice to know I'm not alone on the crazy accidents, in one day 4 falls, 1st toilet sprung a leak, kitchen flooded went to get towels from upstairs thought I was on the bottom step and landed on my knee that had a total replacement, later tripped over the burning barrel grate and fell, clearing a small area from saplings tripped over a log landed on my back unsure how to get up with 2 rotator cup tears, then putting up solar lights in my goat shed had ladder leaning up against the door frame which sunk into the bedding and I road that ladder out the door to the ground...welcome to the club. Thankfully no serious injuries.
I am so sorry for your accident. Ma daughter had a severe concussion in 2022 (a big Plexiglas falls on her head at her work) and beside the physiotherapy, I found out that it was the holy basil that I gave her that help her the most. It's for sure a long road to recovery, take care ❤️
I am just so relieved that you are on the mend, however slowly. To have you back on You Tube is a great help to myself. You look after yourself and your wonderful family. loads of love and joy to you and your family.....xxxxx
I have had so damn many concussions, I feel for you. None have occurred while chasing a goose. Finally I had a stroke, The clot is still in my brain. It sounds like I need physiotherapy.
I can’t believe just after the docs have figured out the treatment over your digestive system now you’ve hurt your head. The devil is a liar. Praying for you gurl
I Am so emotionally striken by how You shared what happened with You.. I had a gnarly car crash nearly 7 yearz ago & had recurring ministrokes - T.I.A.s. I had th no talking, one word at a time, sensory overload, vestibular issuez, right arm dumb & nervez on fire, laggy left eye, limp w right leg, not able to read, thinking so weird etc etc.. Im 35 too. I Love You. I just love You even more now. Im so so greatfull We can both Be happily moving & functioning today
Thank you Joseph for editing Amber's videos . I'm sure you, Amber, will totally recover. Living surrounded by nature is less stressfull than living in a city. Nature has its slow and calm pace and doesn't never make you feel in a hurry. I hope my english doesn't challenge too much your brain 😊 Elena, Italy
Thank you for sharing your story Amber. I will pray for you to continue to mend and for those around you to be able to help while you're on your way to recovering.
7 years into my TBI. Mine caused a meningioma brain tumour. It is not cancerous, but it effects all of my senses. I cannot smell or taste, regular temperature or pain, it affects my vision and I’m very sensitive to lights & sounds. It has permanently changed the course of my life. My heart goes out to all the healing brains! 🧠 ❤️🩹
Oh Amber, I'm wishing you the best of health returning, you are such a strong and determined person I think you will get there. Think of the wonders of neuroplasticity and stroke recovery, you can heal and grow X
I feel your pain with the dizziness. I get bouts of vertigo, where I can't look up, or do tasks above shoulder height. It's maddening. I hope your symptoms fade over time🤞💐✌️
Im so sorry to hear about your concussion. I can relate whole heartedly right now as I too am still going through a concussion after a work related injury. It's such a journey to get back to your pre-injury self. My biggest hurdle right now is sensory (light and sound) and its been a challenge to do "ordinary" things. I hope you can also take some time to rest ❤
I know this is a difficult story to share and thank you for sharing it with us ❤ despite all that I had to comment that your storytelling really allowed your personality to shine through and despite all the challenges you're going through, I still found myself laughing at your witty descriptions and way of telling the story at the beginning of the video. You're a light in this world 🌟
I went thru vestibular and ocular theraoy for 2 yrs after a car accident (me vs a semi). I've had chonic issues since for 22 yrs. I am sending all the ❤ to you.
Oh my gosh of all the things that could of gave you a concussion! i thought maybe it happen while renovating your home or barn, something in the garden, i know your loyal watchers do worry about you so thank you for sharing your story, bless Joe blaming the rogue goose, that is something my husband would have done, he loves you very much. sending you healing vibes. x
I had a stroke almost 4 years ago. Alot of the things you are saying are simlar. It keeps geting better. We had a goose many years ago keep them happy with you. Are they will hang onto you and hit you with there wings.
Amber, I was in a four wheeler wreck many years ago and hit my head on a rock which caused a concussion. I still have problems with retaining new information, have no memory of the wreck itself and a decent amount of time before and after, etc. It does get better but it's so frustrating. It feels like it never ends but you are doing so well.
Love the story (not so much the fact you got hurt), love your journey (i'm following you for years now) and love you. Please take all the time you need to recover. Peace❤
You do have a happy ending! You’re here back on ytube, healing, and your family still have you!!im so happy you are back! I have had vertigo for over twenty years and being dizzy is the wosrt. Over the years it has gotten better and less often so hopefully yours will go away or at least get better!
Oh my goodness, Amber. Sending you so much love and healing vibes. One of my college roommates had a concussion a couple years ago from banging her head on a cabinet while on vacation. Following her journey on Facebook was mind-blowing to me. I had no idea that a concussion could have such an impact! I hope you feel back to normal soon ❤
Thank you for sharing Amber! I would have never guessed an actual wild goose chase caused your concussion! Sending continued love and get well energy 🙏🏼❤️ I’m glad you ended up with 2 nice geese, and that you enjoy them for many years to come 🪿 You are such a naturally delightful person Amber ❤ ✌🏽
Thank you for continuing to make contact whilst going through this, sending lots of healing & strength x I’ve got FND and that makes the signals from my brain to my body not compatible- the brain is amazing and scary when it goes a bit crap x
You are one though cookie arent you? But thats life i guess and it makes you realise there can be only tiny moment that will change either all or quite a lot about your life. I know what you mean by saying, story that is doesnt make sense. I got a few myself 🤭 I hope your physio will help you recover in a best possible way 🧡 In the meantime how about a little search to find little life hacks to remember those little things and maybe eventually your brain will recover? And.... I guess i can speak not only for myself. We love hearing from you even not exciting /everyday /boring news because we love how authentic and magical you are Amber. Not just you, all your family is great. I hope you will be back to your normal routine as soon as possible but if not maybe this experience will bring you another great opportunity? Hugs from Poland for the whole family 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
Im so sorry you are dealing with this Amber. I experience similar things after my lsst two large seizures. Im still dealing with memory math etc and its so frustrating as a young "healthy" looking person. I hope youvmake a full recovery ❤️ great work to Joseph on editing thess videos!!!
Thanks for sharing your story. I was immensely curious about how you got a concussion. I'm so sorry to hear you're dealing with the repercussions of your concussion and TBI still. 😥 But I appreciate you being honest and real about it. ❤️
I am glad you are doing better, one little thing at a time. I hope you will get fully well soon. Don't pressure yourself, do what you can when you can girl!❤
I'm really sorry that this happened to you. Post-concussion syndrome is no joke. I'm glad that you are getting physio, slowing down and getting good family support
Man, that's crazy! Prayers for your recovery. I have so much respect for you and your family. Don't ever worry about replying to comments or pushing out content because I will always watch anything you post regardless! And I know I'm not the only one. Thank you for sharing your story, no matter how ridiculous it may seem! So much love to you and your family!! 💚 One love
Thank you for sharing your story! As someone who also seems to injure herself in ridiculous ways, I can relate to wanting that to stop. Just remember that your brain (and body as a whole) want to heal -- it just takes time ❤
Wow that's a scary story... I've hit my head really hard a couple of times, and I know how intense it can be, but thankfully it's not left long term damage (that I know of!), but I would never have guessed that you could have this degree of damage from just a shoulder.I think the only way you can see it is that this is a soul challenge...you need to learn the lessons it's trying to teach you. I bet your daughter feels terrible having let the bloody geese out in the first place! Sending much love to all of you xxxx
Wow. Your dedication to catching that goose. 😮 If that had been me I would have been like “That goose belongs to the cows now.” 😂 I’m glad you are improving!
I am 5 years out from my head injury of my frontal lobe. I still have major symptoms after going through all kinds of therapy. The answer I have finally gotten was that these symptoms will not improve. I am going to be 65 this year and had to retire 5 years ago because of it all. A lot of anxiety and depression as well. I am so sorry to hear your story. I hope that you are able to get some answers.
What a wild story! It's absurd and almost funny that I also got a (mild) concussion from connecting my head to my husband's body (elbow) while *getting out of the car*. Partners are a hazard we never knew we had.
I gave myself a concussion with my partner too! I sat straight up in bed in the middle of the night and then fell back down in my sleep, but I fell down temple first into my partners forehead. I immediately woke up and felt sick to my stomach and the next day I felt like I had been hit by a truck. My whole body was sore and I almost felt like I was sick. My partner didn’t even wake up 😂 Our brains are crazy!
Your story is hard to hear as it brought me back to my accident that caused my concussion I had in August, 2013. It was my first (and last😜) time on a horse. It’s really difficult to explain to someone who hasn’t experienced it. It took me just over 10 years to get back to myself. You can get through this! It is scary and frustrating and infuriating. With good therapy and lots of pacing, you will get back to yourself🥰🥰🥰
So sorry you are still troubled by it! What an adventurous goose 😮 as a person who also has a talent for silly accidents - its so annoying! I hope you will fully heal!
You'll come up - You dezerve to Be eazy on YourSelf.. Celebrate EVERY LITTLE THING You can do. I had th mini strokes for yearz & had varying degreez of impact - You'll see - You'll get better n better..
I watch a UA-camr who has memory problems and she leaves a green hair tie on the handle for the garden hose. When she turns it on she puts it on her wrist to remind her it’s on. Thanks for sharing your story ✌️
Ohhh that’s an excellent idea! Thank you!!
That is a very good idea!! Thank you

That sounds so awful! Have you taken any Arnica Montana? It can even help well after he injury if you still have issues from the concussion.
I’m so sorry that you are having all these issues and I’m wishing you all the best and I hope you experience progress and recovery every day. 💕💕
Hi Amber, I wish you a good recovery 🤞 So glad for you that you are able to take care of your garden and post again.
Aw, Amber 😢 that's so unfortunate. I hope you keep steadily getting better and better ❤

Hey! You didn't owe anyone this story, but you shared anyway! Thanks for the crazy tale and the always positive vibes. 🌈
My mum and I were once trapped on top of a park table bc we ran out of food to give these geese and they started attacking us🥲
Thank you for continuing to make contact whilst going through this, sending lots of healing & strength x I’ve got FND and that makes the signals from my brain to my body not compatible- the brain is amazing and scary when it goes a bit crap x

You’ve got this, Amber! Get better soon! We’re all glad you’re back online and getting back to your old self!
That's quite a story! You're doing so well, all the best 💓
Bless your heart! I am praying for your full recovery❤❤❤
💚 One love
Prayers for speedy recovery
Sending love and blessings to u Amber ❤ u r amazing beyond words.
You will be blessed 🙌🙏
I had chemo in 2007, and since then, I can't do math and numbers! Get better soon!
Sending you good vibes. I don't think that wanting geese was a bad thing 🥰
Sending lots of healing vibes! I imagine that goose isnt your favorite bird - but very well named video 😂
Sending healing energy your way! So sorry that happened, but glad you are on the mend. ❤️🩹 give yourself grace.
❤️❤️❤️❤️ take each day one at a time
💞
What a freak accident Amber...WOW! It might seem like a long process, but you are healing, and that is the main thing. 🤗
It was so weird… would never have thought that hitting a shoulder could do this! And thank you.

What a wild story! It's absurd and almost funny that I also got a (mild) concussion from connecting my head to my husband's body (elbow) while *getting out of the car*. Partners are a hazard we never knew we had.
Oh my gosh, you get it then! Going to have to tell my husband that others have experienced it as well 😆 hope you’re ok now!
😂😂
Duck, duck goose! Joseph! 🦆🦆🪿✌️
