Something that I have heard other people and reviewers say (AnthonysCustoms) is that these figures are starting to look more and more like cosplays. Vertigo is the biggest offender of this wave by far. No power effects and wrong colored eyes. Random also is an offender because he doesn’t have his exaggerated proportions.
I feel as though diamond select does a far better job in my opinion.i have quite a few silver age thru say... early 90s and I almost feel I am coming to an end with Hasbro and their funny business with putting out a really good figure and then a bunch of mediocre ones. Idk what to think sometimes.

It is like Hasbro used the cover art to rank the figure themselves. The best fig Stryfe is in front and the worst are toward the back, being Vertigo and Zero LOL. Totally feel your pain with wanting Random so much only to be hugely disappointed by Hasbruh lazy effort. Happened to me with Avalanche, US Agent, and Firelord. Now I don't wish for anything. I just let them surprise me instead LOL. Good to see you again, and keep them coming!

Completely agree with Stryfe.. near perfect. Would’ve loved a sword or at least a gripping sword hand. Again I agree with you on Random would’ve preferred a larger buck to pose against Strong Guy (not like I have Strong Guy yet lol) as for Pretty Boy I’m not too familiar with the Reavers but I have Bonebreaker and desperately want Lady Deathstrike. Love love love the new sculpt and effects that come with him. Vertigo to me is the most disappointing just because of that head... so ridiculously lazy but from the neck down she’s a beauty. Once again bro I agree with you with Zero would’ve been perfectly suitable on the Vulcan mould and while I’m not the biggest complainer about paint I think Zero should’ve had shading as he is mostly going to be photographed in or coming out of the portal. If I’m lucky enough to get this set on sale I’ll use the portal on the Walmart Doctor Strange. We have the same mindset when it comes to this box set looking forward to your thoughts and reviews on the Ch’od wave!
Hey, Madam Hydra finally has a use. I still really like this 5 pack. I'd probably hate it more if I read the comics more. I'm just now getting back into comics. I really love Pretty Boy. But I love using him with the other Reavers characters I have. I still really like Random. I just love his head sculpt
Damn you know it's not great when you're busting on the X-Men figs. The only 2 figures in this pack that are worth anything are Stryfe and Pretty Boy, Random is above Zero and Vertigo but just barely in my opinion. The last couple of 5 packs have been rough. Random on the Omega Red mold would have been better with interchangeable arms and a blast effect. Vertigo should have been on the Shriek mold with an original head sculpt... So annoyed with that reuse.... (Hair/head swap is a great idea) Gonna try that. Great review Manny ✌️✌️

@@Xmanny87 do you think there’s any chance of hasbro loosing the license for marvel I hope it’s not true I do think they need to put in more of an effort there lazy lack luster last few efforts on waves have really been Shameful it could be employees saw the writing on the wall and just started mailing it in, why should I put in maximum effort when you gonna lay us off or why should I do extra work when your laying off workers while making maximum profits or now I know your gonna say I’m crazy what if this is a plot to tank the stock so some company can (Disney) swoop in and buy them out and rescue them imagine what Disney could do with G.I.Joe Real American Hero, Fortnite, Transformers , Power Rangers, Dungeons & Dragons, Magic The Gathering, Nerf, Parker brothers and Avalon hill games they would get to make toys and not pay exorbitant licensing fees if it was me I’d pull the trigger years ago I told friends that Disney was gonna buy fox this was years before it was ever considered or thought feasible in order to get back X-men and Fantastic four and look it was true and they gained so much from that acquisition, now they won’t do the same with Sony no they’ll let them fail cause those Spider-Man Movies that Sony makes are terrible except into the spider-verse no they’ll make a trade give use a spider-Man back and will give you Blah blah .

Like you were mentioning on that Ch’od figure in the BaF form, I really was looking forward to him, but I’m not buying all those toys to get him when he’s so incorrect. He has too many fingers on his hands. That’s a complete lack of care since they reused the BaF movie Abomination so much anyway.
I received my box set this week, all the bits were there. I have always hated box sets. You get a couple of great figures, and the rest are crap. Strife & Pretty Boy are really nice. If the others were on a single release, they would peg warm. I know you're not into Valerverse, but l just heard Bobby say Legends are doing really bad at Hasbro. It's probably true. Look at the latest Spider-Man wave on retro cared, with no baf.

The 5 pack is not that bad, I might get it because I do need Pretty Boy, But I don't have any characters from other X-MEN eras, teams to go with characters like Random, Vertigo, Stryfe, and Zero, But still, Hopefully Hasbro can just do a normal single release Pretty Boy in the future.
That’s something that they could probably do but they’ll probably rerelease him in a Reavers multipack. Maybe give Bonebreaker more paint on his chassis.
What makes box sets like this such a let down is that they dive deep into the comics making cool lower level characters and then botch it up so bad. The bigger annoyance is a lot of these characters will never be remade by hasbro and no other company will make any version of these characters!!🤔🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️😐

I'm a victim of the divide in our community as a result of the EoV, as such am very suspicious of any 5 pack coming out of Hasbro. Deliberately spending money on quality, and avoiding such things as starting another incomplete team, this 5 pack is a pass for me. Stryfe is quite a work of art though.

This pack is weird to me cause 2 of the 5 are hella dope but the other 3 are just meh. Overall 5.5/10 you could have cooked hasbro but you failed. Also zero could be used as a spot custom maybe Also the thing with the spot is there is one coming out with the new across the spiderverse wave

He’s not unknown to hardcore X-Men fans such as myself. The only thing that makes him fun is the portal. Which is why I gave him 2 points. Accessories count. It’s perfect for his power set. Just wished they made him better by the things I mentioned.
