Yea I noticed some skates are VERY noisy on the pad...however, some mice I found are almost silent and feel really nice on this pad. However, the vast majority are noisy for sure! Also like how the edges are nice and rounded. Some glass pads are almost sharp on the edges, especially the corners. Not the case here! Great review as always!
im thinking of buying one, my cloth mouse pad is dead in the spot where i aim the most, like half of the pad is just extremely slow, i hate replacing things but with a glass mouse pad i dont think i'd replace it in a long time, i think its worth the initial investment compared to a cloth pad every year
I've been using an old icemat glass pad I got in 2005 and it's still great to this day. Seeing how it's almost 20 years old I'm thinking of getting one of these and retire my old pad.
If I hadn't already gone to glass mouse skates and an artisan this would be very tempting... Think I'm going to stay with my current setup... But it's awesome we are finally getting so many cool options.
@@SnackZatPCThey can wear down the pad and cause slow spots, happened to my LGG Saturn. I started noticing the pad was slower (more worn down) towards the centre of the mousepad, the area I use the most, while the edges/sides of the mousepad was still very smooth.
I heard that the super glide mouse feet’s coating rubs off really fast and makes them inconsistent. Is this a worry as well with the pad? I know they aren’t the same coating, but can the pads coating rub off as well? Sorry if dumb question, I’ve never even thought of using glass. I just don’t want to spend $100 on a pad and have it be worn in a couple months. Ty ❤
I am tempted to buy this to try but I've tried the latest Sky pad and could not get over the sound and since I'm in TX, the humidity really affects the glide.
Skypad 3 isn't textured like this is, that's why the humidity affects the glide. Think about how smooth glass feels sticky but frosted/textured glass does not when you put your palm on it. As for the sound... yeah that's always an issue with glass pads. Thicker mouse skates helps a bunch here, often the scraping noise is the edges of your mouse.
It looks super but I’ve gotten use to my Saturn and I’m playing very well with it. No need for me to change tbh. Also, I am saving up to buy my XE wireless, do you have plans to review it?
The Saturn Pro is a beast. It's easily my favorite coth pad right now. Vaxee is supposed to be sending my XE Wireless sometime this week! I'll get the review out asap 😁
I hate having to clean my mousepad and little crumbs get on it that I keep having to swipe off. This looks like a much cleaner option that is smooth to glide on.
What do you think are the differences between the SkyPad 3.0 and the Superglide Pad.? Which is the fastest? Which is more controlled? Which has the smoothest glide?
I don’t have the skypad but my Superglide pad is laughably slow, especially when my room is warm. I’m almost certain it’s not my skates so I don’t know what the issue could be other than the pad
I saw some people saying that it didn't have good speed, or it wears down your mouse feet fast, constantly clean it, your skates will wear and cause a different feeling on the pad which would require a replacement so on
dunno if i’m doing anything wrong but had the same experience with the pad myself very inconsistent when it gets warmer/sweaty i felt like every time i swiped it was a different glide
Did you have to turn you in game sens way down initially? I love the idea of the consistent feel and basically never wearing out, but I play on a Saturn with Core pads on my mice and I'm scared if I switch I'll just be "chasing" a slow enough in game feel.
I did have to slow it down a bit, but not way down. This will differ from person to person, though. If you like the Saturn, then I would just stay on it. That's my favorite cloth pad, it's awesome 👍
I went from superglides+cordura pad to a skypad and if you can stand the sound of it + the need to wipe every crumb/hair of your pad every half hour(usually i swipe my sleeve left to right and that is it) I would hard reccomend it, feels way more consistent to me.
This is actually cheap for a glass pad at 4.6 cents per square cm. The Skypad is 6 cents, and the old school Icemat that I have was 6.4 cents (when you adjust for inflation). Anyways, thanks for the review. Looks like a solid replacement for my Icemat!
for sure bro, for me perfect size would be 700x700 since I like to put my whole arm on the mousepad itself and i play a lot of vertical movement shooters but I don't think we're getting anything like this soon
I don't think price is much of a con if you're someone who games a lot. Cloths pads wear to shit within 6 months to a year, you spend more buying any high quality cloth pads within 2 years
Who's buying one?
I don't know, but i bet its super... 🤣
@@dorkking6749 It definitely is 😁
i would but its sold out. :(
Nahh already have a skypad so the minor improvement wouldn't be worth the price for me.
@@ChadAltDelete does it still feeling brand new after 1 month of using ?😊

Thx bro!
Agreed, the round edges make it feel premium 😄.
@@ChadAltDelete hey I made my first dollar from UA-cam, so I only need $99,999,999,999 more to hire you!

My current thoughts as well. Did you ever end up upgrading?
hey bro love the review :D how is the pad doing long term? did it slow down at all?
Phenomenal review, thanks Chad.

Glass mouse skates are safe for artisan pads? I'm tempted to buy some superglides for my hayate otsu but I'm not sure if they'll wear down the pad.
@@Voyex wtf whyn wouldnt they be xD?

We aim similarly also. Good content bro. Keep it up. Details mean everything
Thinking about getting one. You still main it?
Did you have to lower your sensitivity in games when you tried this? If so by how much?

Any experience with the Skypad? Comparisons?
Sadly I don't have one 😢
Ik this is old but is there any way to take the mouse pad apart to do glass engraving for my own design?

Thoughts on the bolt in 2023?
Good shape but way better mice out there in 2023. Lamzu Atlantis or the mini version come to mind. Also the Ninjutso Sora.

Can you compare this to a Raiden?
Is that a wooting 60he ? I got one bro. Straight fire
Yep 🔥
Maybe i need to try this combo, i alredy liked superglides feets+cordura pads.
It's fun for sure!

Does this thing get slow spots?
Can you please review the Pulsar ES2? Glad your testing it on CS:GO not many reviewers do that.
I'll try to get one to review! If you like CS then you should check out Hausgaming, he does reviews too on YT.
How does it fair against skypad 3?
I don't have one to compare it with, but my buddy told me it was similar feeling texture and speed wise.
the size is large but I wish500x500 would be the "standard" size for esports mousepads. Also a 600x500 like la onda would be cool.

as someones whos hands sweat. it wont work out for me :C
My one concern is that this pad will very quickly wear down PTFE skates.
It does how fast ?
Ez buy 10set and go wild
Not as fast as ptfe skates wear cloth, and they are a lot cheaper than a pad. At least thats been my experience
What’s it like compared to the skypad 3.0 ?
I don't have one to compare yet, but my buddy told me they are really similar in speed and texture 👍
may I know which quake is still alive now ?
Quake champions is the only one
