great vid! always take the fam to navarre. never thought of eating at juana's though. glad I saw your vid. will visit navarre next week and try juana's pizza...and beer!
Thanks so much for the comment! I'm glad you enjoyed the video, not really sure what we are doing or if its even good but we have had a lot of fun doing it! Enjoy your visit to Navarre next week and hope you like the pizza as much as we did... the beer definitely makes it better!
Its about 15 miles. Really easy to get to, just head west on 98 until you see the bridge on the south side of the road in Navarre, head over the bridge and its the first thing you will come to. October would be a great time to go!
great! we will definitely plan on getting over there....we will be in Destin over a week this time, so will have lots of time to explore! I heard the shell pickin' in Navarre Beach was pretty decent too, so we were hoping to pick up some nice shells, if that's an accurate rumor! :-)
If you want to find shells I would recommend checking out Opal Beach which is part of the Gulf Islands National Sea Shore, where we stopped to look at the beach on the Flounders video. That beach is uninhabited and uncommercialized and overlooked by a lot of people. You might have to walk a little ways from the parking area but should be a good place to look. If you are affiliated with the military in anyway you can get onto the Eglin Beach at the foot of the Destin bridge with your ID card, we have had lots of luck there. Here is directions to opal beach... from Juana's just turn right at the stop sign and head west until all the buildings disappear! www.google.de/maps/search/opal+beach+/@30.3647377,-86.9712548,15z/data=!3m1!4b1?hl=en
I went this evening on your recommendation. That pizza sucks bad. Gas station pizza is better. Seriously a freaking Totino's pizza from Walmart is better. And my pizza wasn't $8.95. It was almost $18 and it was not edible. Tourist trap.

Didn't know that place was still open Juanas Pagoda, grew up in Navarre. my old room mate in the 80s step dad owned it once upon a time.
My dad used to take us here years ago, we never ate though
Thats awesome! Hopefully you can make it back down some day!
how far of a drive is it from Okaloosa Island to Navarre Beach and this place?

I live very close by in Holley By The Sea. Very nice place to watch the sunset.
