  • in this video i will do a Power steering fluid flush, without pump in less than 10 minuets
    Flushing power steering fluid and eliminate power steering pump noise. this video will show you complete power steering flush of the system step by step...
    Procedure
    ..Jack the car up to make the job easy and open the hood, locate the power steering reservoir and open the cap, suck the old fluid out by oil suction pump as I did or use Turkey baster
    ..Remove the hoses claps of the reservoir hoses and take it out to clean it with carb cleaner (if necessary)
    ...Connecting vacuum pump to the discharge hose
    ...Add new fluid now, I used ATF 3, that's what recommend by owner Manuel
    ... After filling reservoir, turn the wheel twice lock to lock, it will take the new fluid from reservoir to the system and discharge the old fluid which will be sucked by vacuum pump then fill the reservoir again
    ...Do this method few times, till you see new fluid comes out from the small diameter hose,
    ...Connect the discharge hose to the reservoir and add fluid if necessary
    ... Turn the engine on and turn the wheel lock to lock to come out any bubble in the system(if there is any) and add fluid if necessary
    ...Lower the jack and Take the car for a 10 minutes drive
    THEN CHECK THE FLUID LEVEL AGAIN
    Note: if you notes any sound,it means the system still got bubble use the same method to take it out

    Do the deposits in the reservoir dislodge over time if you keep the fluid clean?

    Glad to see a video where you DONT start the engine while doing a flush... no need at all, turning the wheel pushes out the fluid in a controlled manner... when I see vids where the engine is running, the power steering pump is Screaming while the fluid gets circulated, this can damge the pump.. engine off, manually turning wheel eliminates that risk

      @AliMECH  Рік тому

    How did your fluid not dump out of the reservoir when removing the return line? And how did you not get air in the system disconnecting the flush hose with the return hose?

  • @retroMartin
    @retroMartin 3 роки тому +1

    Should mark the video as an outlander flush. Been looking everywhere for this. Manual states to disconnect glow plugs and injectors, then crank it to push old fluid out. This was an easier method. I still dont dare to pull too hard in the glow plug connectors on Outlander 2012 4HK engine.
