Lian Li's mesh filter is no good vs Cooler Master case the front mesh filter actually filters the dust out! I haven't bee outused of the Lian Li LAN2 Mesh yet the 3rd version already came out WTH! LoL
@@jpthsd not gonna lie I'd rather just blow out the whole system for a cleaning regularly anyway then just wiping half the added dust to my system away. No filter =no ventilation filter = ventilation until clogged I'd say the lian li mesh 2 does its job well if your willing to be a responsible pc owner/operator. The cooler master has little to no ventilation for the lower cage making this a superior product by airflow availability which should be the ultimate goal for performance. Many people forget your motherboard is the skull housing the brain and hold just as much importance when Temps get involved.
3 140mm frontal fans, 3 140mm top fans, 3 120mm bottom fans, 1 140mm rear fan, optional frontal dust filter, mesh design. This is what I've been looking for. I have my Lancool II mesh ''moded'': I've ''fixed'' the frontal fan bracket in order to mount 3 140mm fans, and it worked perfectly. But I'm considering to buy the Lancool III, despite I love my case. I'm a PC enthusiast, I've analyzed all the cases from all the companies, and let me tell you something: this model is itself so perfect and unique (especially for aircooler users). The airflow in my Lancool II mesh is already beyond good, my 4080 never gets hotter than 35ºc playing ultra preset at any game, from 25ºc to 35ºc due to the 2 bottom fans and the 3 140mm front fans. I can't imagine how much would improve my temps this new model. Thank you, LIAN LI. Your designers and engineers are something else. ''Lian Li, close to perfection.'' (register this motto).
Yup, it looks like they streamlined the HDD case and now you can configure how they're arranged and move them around easier. I remember the LC2 Mesh the cage was a little stiff, and hard to remove from the case.
Three drives yeah but if you add the hot swap option, like I did, it takes seconds to swap drives. Unfortunately, I'm currently not seeing the options with the LanCool III. Beyond that though I'm really liking the other changes they've made and seriously considering upgrading my case.
Too late for EU. The prices on amazon here are already 250€ for a pre-order. One might think Lancool II Mesh's proces might drop, but they increased too by 10€. 😩
@@MrWebsteros I don't plan on upgrading, while it definitely is an improvement from the lancool II, I don't think it's worth upgrading to if you already have the lancool II. At the end of the day its just a case and my current one fulfils all my needs and more.
Sweet cream on an ice cream sammich.....I literally just bought the o11 dynamic evo a few months ago and now I HAVE to change it when this comes out...I normally stick with Corsair fans as well however I think I'ma make the change to Lian Li's as well....goodjob you guys...seriously

I've seen cases, for the same price (OR EVEN HIGHER PRICES), that don't have TWO - ONLY TWO - 3.5 HDD storage places... this one, you can put how many? 4 HDDs and 8 SSDs with absolutely perfect slots? Crazy. It's BEYOND ME, that someone makes a high-end case nowadays - WITH RGB AND ALL THAT - and don't provide at least 3 storage slots for HDD and 2.5 SSDs on it... thank you guys for not treating customers like this. ALSO, providing an RGB and NON-RGB version is HUGE ! Are you guys really a company? What's the catch? LOL So, I just want to share my admiration here, and say that I'll buy it, and I'll recommend it - I see it's VERY affordable in the USA (roughly 160 bucks) and other countries, unfortunately where I live THIS IS EXPENSIVE, but I can see it's something to stay with me for the next decade or so while giving me no headache.
I cant wait for gamers nexus review of this, I bought the Lancool II Mesh performance based on his review, but with a lot of corsair products in the case, the cable management is pretty horrendous at the back. This looks a a lot better, also water cooling in the new case looks to be easier too. If this comes out at around the same price as the the previous model, it will be a chart topping slam dunk.

I hope, in the future, you can make a case like this one but that allows one mounting the power supply vertically on the other side (the right hand side) so that it does not interfere with air-intake from the bottom. Just use a steel side panel on the right hand side (with a vent for the power supply) and you can save all the internal cable covers.
@@TheSjuris No, they don't. The O11 Dynamic favours looks over function by having the front fans on the side rather than in the front. In an air-cooling setup this leads to the air needing to change direction by 90 degrees which is very inefficient.

1:05 again this area without a dust filters, just a mesh that can't detain dust outside. And you get dusty shroud area cause installed fans at the bottom 0:48 for your videocard. And parking/spinning HDDs head noise through mesh, oh yeah that what you want hear at the middle of the night. Why don't you add additional replaceable covered panels to the case kit?

First three HDDs travelling with me around since ~2011, and gone through 3 cases, last one(current) Silent Base 802(window). And HDDs is still one of the most noisest components in system while i'am not playing games.

The disk either works or it doesn't, when the mechanics fail, it will be clearly heard and seen. And in that LIAN LI - LANCOOL i think it's maximally absurd 4 HDD racks, that covered only by mesh. Yeah you can say, who TF uses HDDs/uses so many HDDs in 2022, i do!, and for now there is not many cases that can offer support for 4+ HDDs, usually is only 1 or 2 racks by most of the "modern" cases. I dont want bury myself into AAM(Automatic Acoustic Management), so i think this moment is unfinished in that model.

I have this case and I hate it! Well. Only hate the fact that I have 3 Seagate Exos X18 14 TB HDD that wont fit in this case. The drive cages do not have the right mounting holes. I dont want to rig it together but I may have to.
they made more room for a bigger aio on top? Thank god, that was the biggest problem I had with mine with the 360 cooler not fitting. More SSD space is great too
Yeah, I was actually torn between this and some other cases but holy shit the reviews show just how easy it is to build in this. Almost everything can be removed from the case for easy component installation, and then it just pops back in. IMO, that stuff and the sliding cable management panel should be standard in cases. They make far too much sense.
Darn it, I'm going to have to upgrade from my Lian Li Lancool Mesh II. I had modified it to fit 3 SL140s in the front, but they one-upped me with the 140mm in the back. However, the improvements don't stop there! A no-brainer upgrade.
I dont think so at all. Aesthetically, sure. But temperature wise, you will see little difference my dude. It's better for people with a first lancool, or just starting a build from scratch. Upgrading from Lancool II is height foolishness to me.
@@j.b.7133 Stock to stock, I don't believe so. I have a Lancool II mesh with a R5 5600x and and older graphics card, an R9 Fury. I did have 6 Lian LI SL 120mm fans, 3 on the front, 3 ontop, 1 on the rear. With the 120mm Fans, I was reaching around 60c on my CPU and 73c on my GPU on serval GPU/CPU benchmarks/stress tests. The CPU was at 4600 mhz and the GPU at 1250mhz, the total system power was roughly 320w. I modified my case to hold 3 SL 140 mm front fans, and changed the top to 2 SL 140mm fans. I gained a significant decrease in temps, reaching 49c on the cpu and 67c on the GPU. I was also able to increase performance by roughly 5% on average on all my benchmarks and stress tests due to lower temps, even though my system was now pulling 340ish watts from the wall. Note, I did have a 240mm aio and changed to a 280 mm aio mounted on top of the case. When I changed the fans, I installed their vertical GPU mount. If I was able to lower temps by that much I can imagine having 3 front, 3 top, and 1 rear 140mm fan would decrease temps significantly. Especially Stock vs Stock.

And I've seen reviews on the Lancool III, there is still alot more performance left on the table. Also, stop telling me how to spend my money. Great case, but could you please give us the option of a steel side panel on the left hand side with a rectangular meshed cut-out so that the graphics card can directly exhaust its hot air? Most graphics cards exhaust hot air to the sides and in almost all cases the air is trapped in the case. Also, I think having a glass panel over steel covers is silly. In short, I'd love to have the option for two steel side panels, one with a cut-out for a graphics card exhaust vent.
Yes this was my number one complaint with the Lancool II. I dont ever look there... and even if I do, its showing a tint of cable management? Pointless. Also adds risk of shattering with one more pane of glass. You can tell they cut corners with manufacturing and just applied the same panel to each side, cutting costs down. But. Lian Li, I would pay more a steel / plastic / whatever back plate to just cover the Lancool without the risk of tempered glass which adds no aesthetic value to that side. Fractal usually does this well with giving glass or covered spots.
@@k3Fallen It's one of the most refreshing thing about Lian Li is that they are actively seeking, acknowledging and acting on criticisms and praise. The result is products that make the competition look bad. For example, while similar looking products the build experience in the Lancool 2 Mesh stomps the 5000D Airflow. All the little gripes Lian Li corrects add up quickly.

The bottom side mesh panel is bad idea you can see right through it in the white version when any light source shine from the top to the bottom it shows the wiring.
Lol. People acare more about airflow than aesthetics. I want my system cooled, not blocked airflow there. You can easily fix that with some Plasticard....

We have cases with wrap around tempered glass, cases with idiotic enthusiast designs that choke airflow, cases with innovative designs that are a nightmare to work in, cases that cost an arm and a leg but have less mounting points or compatibility than $50-70 cases. Instead of recognizing and internalizing that this section of the market is about extravagant, often unnecessary features you complain. Instead of recognizing that without the tempered glass sides this would be just be an excellent case with restrained design elements you complain. The company has simpler, purely functional cases in their lineup. This case and its predecessor exist in a market segment where the consumer wants more than that. If you do not provide it, your competitors will. Please understand that. Discussion over.

love the case but losing the last PCIE slot with fans and the last 3-4 slots with a radiator, along with only provisions for 120mm fans/radiators on the bottom is a deal breaker.

I'm just curious. Why would you downgrade for your next build? The O11D evo/XL are better. Mine cools SLI 3090's with ease. Looks better too. This looks exactly like a Thermaltake level 21 to me, only upgraded on the inside.

@@RicochetForce No, looks are the first thing you notice. This thing looks the part of a $75 case. I have an O11D XL full of SL120's, a Thermaltake View 71 TG, a Seasonic Q704, and an NZXT H1 V1. They're all more appealing, and id be willing to bet with my setup, my 3090's in the XL stay just as cool as one 3090 in the Lancool. This case is overrated and plain as Janes come.

Wow, space for 12 hard drives, but not one place for an optical drive. If someone is using multiple 3.5" hard drives, they probably have optical drive needs too.
If it's not modular you have failed. When I buy a new case it will have to be able to fit my desk. I'm not buying a new desk every time i build a new pc. It's so ridiculous.

Darn it, I'm going to have to upgrade from my Lian Li Lancool Mesh II. I had modified it to fit 3 SL140s in the front, but they one-upped me with the 140mm in the back. However, the improvements don't stop there! A no-brainer upgrade.
I dont think so at all. Aesthetically, sure. But temperature wise, you will see little difference my dude. It's better for people with a first lancool, or just starting a build from scratch.
Upgrading from Lancool II is height foolishness to me.
@@j.b.7133 Stock to stock, I don't believe so. I have a Lancool II mesh with a R5 5600x and and older graphics card, an R9 Fury. I did have 6 Lian LI SL 120mm fans, 3 on the front, 3 ontop, 1 on the rear. With the 120mm Fans, I was reaching around 60c on my CPU and 73c on my GPU on serval GPU/CPU benchmarks/stress tests. The CPU was at 4600 mhz and the GPU at 1250mhz, the total system power was roughly 320w. I modified my case to hold 3 SL 140 mm front fans, and changed the top to 2 SL 140mm fans. I gained a significant decrease in temps, reaching 49c on the cpu and 67c on the GPU. I was also able to increase performance by roughly 5% on average on all my benchmarks and stress tests due to lower temps, even though my system was now pulling 340ish watts from the wall. Note, I did have a 240mm aio and changed to a 280 mm aio mounted on top of the case. When I changed the fans, I installed their vertical GPU mount. If I was able to lower temps by that much I can imagine having 3 front, 3 top, and 1 rear 140mm fan would decrease temps significantly. Especially Stock vs Stock.

@@cesarpalmos8235 Tbh, If you want temps over aesthetics, dont do the SL/Rgb fans. Get Noctua/better fans. I also did the 140 thing and the temps are insanely good. This is a pointless "upgrade"
@@j.b.7133 How did you do the 140mm mounting? The SL fans push more air than the Noctua fans, that's why I went with the SL. And I've seen reviews on the Lancool III, there is still alot more performance left on the table. Also, stop telling me how to spend my money. I work to be able to get the stuff I want and enjoy building.

Great case, but could you please give us the option of a steel side panel on the left hand side with a rectangular meshed cut-out so that the graphics card can directly exhaust its hot air? Most graphics cards exhaust hot air to the sides and in almost all cases the air is trapped in the case. Also, I think having a glass panel over steel covers is silly. In short, I'd love to have the option for two steel side panels, one with a cut-out for a graphics card exhaust vent.

Yes this was my number one complaint with the Lancool II. I dont ever look there... and even if I do, its showing a tint of cable management? Pointless. Also adds risk of shattering with one more pane of glass. You can tell they cut corners with manufacturing and just applied the same panel to each side, cutting costs down.
But. Lian Li, I would pay more a steel / plastic / whatever back plate to just cover the Lancool without the risk of tempered glass which adds no aesthetic value to that side.
Fractal usually does this well with giving glass or covered spots.

@@k3Fallen It's one of the most refreshing thing about Lian Li is that they are actively seeking, acknowledging and acting on criticisms and praise. The result is products that make the competition look bad. For example, while similar looking products the build experience in the Lancool 2 Mesh stomps the 5000D Airflow. All the little gripes Lian Li corrects add up quickly.
why do you ship cases without dust filters? I can't buy anywhere LAN3-1 Dust Filter Kit

The bottom side mesh panel is bad idea you can see right through it in the white version when any light source shine from the top to the bottom it shows the wiring.
Lol. People acare more about airflow than aesthetics. I want my system cooled, not blocked airflow there.
You can easily fix that with some Plasticard....

It's an enthusiast case. Everything outside of econoboxes in the 50-80 range are extravagant, unnecessary nonsense.
@@RicochetForce there's plenty of enthusiast cases without this nonsense. The glass in the back doesn't even show the cable management (as if someone ever wanted to show it) because it's blocked by a shield. It's literally glass showing nothing lol.

We have cases with wrap around tempered glass, cases with idiotic enthusiast designs that choke airflow, cases with innovative designs that are a nightmare to work in, cases that cost an arm and a leg but have less mounting points or compatibility than $50-70 cases.
Instead of recognizing and internalizing that this section of the market is about extravagant, often unnecessary features you complain. Instead of recognizing that without the tempered glass sides this would be just be an excellent case with restrained design elements you complain.
The company has simpler, purely functional cases in their lineup. This case and its predecessor exist in a market segment where the consumer wants more than that. If you do not provide it, your competitors will.

Of course I want it to show my components, I don't want glass in the back when a simple steel panel would be cheaper, lighter and more durable. Also, writing a podcast to shill for bad design is impressive.
love the case but losing the last PCIE slot with fans and the last 3-4 slots with a radiator, along with only provisions for 120mm fans/radiators on the bottom is a deal breaker.
Its nice but I have no idea why they did not put space for a rad on the back.

I'm just curious. Why would you downgrade for your next build? The O11D evo/XL are better. Mine cools SLI 3090's with ease. Looks better too. This looks exactly like a Thermaltake level 21 to me, only upgraded on the inside.
@@PDXCustomPCS Sounds like you need to look up some reviews. The O11s are popular, but the Lancool 2 Mesh and this are basically beaten only by the 180mm-200mm front fan beasts.
@@RicochetForce No, looks are the first thing you notice. This thing looks the part of a $75 case. I have an O11D XL full of SL120's, a Thermaltake View 71 TG, a Seasonic Q704, and an NZXT H1 V1. They're all more appealing, and id be willing to bet with my setup, my 3090's in the XL stay just as cool as one 3090 in the Lancool. This case is overrated and plain as Janes come.

@@luks6436 I was thinking the same thing. I think you should either try the LanCool III or the Corsair 7000D. I liked the way the LanCool III looked and how easy it was to open the pc so I went with it.

The issue I have with some of Lian Li products is the massive logo and branding on the product, it ruined the minimalist look and appears tacky.
If it's not modular you have failed.
When I buy a new case it will have to be able to fit my desk. I'm not buying a new desk every time i build a new pc. It's so ridiculous.

Good, but with front mesh is horrible, too much dust will clog the grills, I didn't like it at all.
So learn to clean ? Better temps = dust. Dust cut off = worse temps. Welcome to air cooling pc's
