- When I first started traveling full-time 6 years ago, I did it because I wanted to experience more in life and to increase my happiness. This is why Story Chasing was born. I realized then that I was missing out on simple moments in life and needed a change. If it weren't for making these changes I wouldn't have the life I now have and it has changed me forever. My sister and I are exploring Bishop Arts District in Dallas which was a super cool place in an area that has been revitalized in North Oak Cliff. One of the best days. I just light up when I'm with my sister. Oddly, we came across this random eyeball that, well, is quite perplexing.

Hey ya'll! lol If you watch the video then you know what I mean by this and why I'm laughing. So, tell me what are the things that you're changing in your life to create more simple moments. Or...are you even creating simple moments. Maybe you don't desire that, but I guess for me, we live in a world with all of these things that pull at our attention and I keep wanting to create more simplicity and get back to the basics. What are you thoughts on this?
I’m spending the year trying out my favorite things but instead of doing it alone, I’m finding groups of inspiring women to hike, talk about books, or create art with.
This has really hit home with me over the last year. I have really looked at my life and made so many changes to “quiet” my life! I have also really focused on spending as much time outdoors and have joined up with other women groups to paddleboard, bike and just started hiking. It calms my spirit and refocuses my thoughts and energy especially after losing my Lily back in August.
Like your mini drawer in the closet. I’m looking to downsize as well. Enjoy your heart 💙 to 💜 chats. 🫶🏽

I am so happy for you and your time with your sister. The French hat is perfect for you. I can tell this time in your life is perfect because of the radiant aura you radiate. I live way too far from my sister who has been recently diagnosed with cancer. Just a reminder at your young age to live life fully every moment. I'm retired at 76 and health is fading fast but I try to value every moment I may have left. The worst is coping with pain. I think it is VERY important to think positively and to keep active. Thanks for your example.

I can relate to this video I lived in Mexico for 20 years. I would see my daughter every other year at Christmas and she would come to visit in Mexico and we would see my son every couple of years. Mexico is beautiful and I lived a first class life but I still wanted for that daily interaction with my daughter going out for coffee going for lunch going shopping just sitting around watching a movie petting her dogs. So when I came back to the US after my husband died. I ended up in over 55 community in Florida. Talk about culture, shock and sticker shock… my daughter move to Florida 20 minutes down the road. I am so we have that fun of going for pedicures and lunches and watching ice-skating at her house or having a dinner at my house. The adventure of 20 years in Mexico was wonderful, and Mexico has left its mark on my heart and soul forever. and it has changed my outlook on how to live my life in Florida much more minimalistic enjoying the moment and the beauty of the nature coast of Florida so I can, and my daughter lived in a suburb of Dallas and Oak Cliff and Bishop arts replaces where we went to look in shops to eat to buy chocolate to have coffee, so I really enjoyed your a little trip to Bishop arts arts

I'm over in west FW and now I want to visit Bishop Arts! Maybe next month. It's too chilly & windy right now, low 30's every night, only 50s in the afternoons. (End of January) You look & sound very happy . I remember this area 40 years ago when it wasn't a Place To Be at all!

I loved this video & seeing all the little shops & Restaurants!! Been to Dallas in the 70's so it's been a long time. You really look happy, and having fun getting your schedule at home down. You needed a break. It might be hard to go out just for a little trip. It gets so comfy to snuggle on the couch watching your favorite UA-cam Nomads or movies!! ❤️

I really enjoyed seeing the arts district, very nice area. I am getting rid of tons of my belongings. I'm doing this to free myself of things that are weighing me down. 24 years of living in the same place and even though I get rid of items regularly, I still ended up with too much stuff. No fun! I will enjoy the roomier condo soon. Bless you Amber!❤️

Wow, when you said you got heartburn from the water I felt validated. I used to say that about the water when I lived in Brussels, Belgium and everyone thought I was crazy. As for simplifying life, I'm in the process of decluttering. It's liberating.

So nice to see you are enjoying some time with your family. You really needed this change in your life. Your place is coming together quite well. What does your friend Kathy think of you getting a home base?! I guess it really doesn't matter as long as you are happy! My opinion is you need to get a bed so you can put your stuff back in the van. I know I wouldn't want to keep moving stuff. That way when the warmer weather gets here and you want to take off for a couple of days you can just go...Wishing you all the best Amber

:D Tip for broken egg shells: Pick up the fallen piece in the pot w/ the egg you just broke in half. The eggshell will attach itself naturally most times, less stress! Also if you're in Oakcliff I think there's this small little book store called Lucky Dog Books, highly recommend

Love the hat!!!!!! Tip: To easily get an unwanted piece of egg shell out of the pan, instead of using the spatula take half of the now cracked shell and use it as a scoop. Works every time!

I let the Dallas area in 1998, it fun to see all the changes, I like you would love to live in the elm street area.
I don't shop. I take inventory. You're right about living in a neighborhood; walkable to coffee shops, etc.
Beth Alexander 😊 lol "take inventory" for sure! yeah there's something special about being around the energy of people and having a good cup of coffee. I mean I'm an introvert and I can hang out and just watch people. Strike up a conversation and go home to re-energize. :)

I'm creating a camping ground experience in my backyard for my soon to be airbnb-ers. I paid to have a concrete slab, electrical hook ups, and they can use their RV or use mine. I also have a cozy covered porch with baked goodies and coffee waiting for them when they wake up in the a.m.... outdoor sink... fire pit area..... Hoping I can meet new people and make them happy with my little backyard camping ground experience 😁😁😁

I did that exact same thing 2 months ago - parked in a tow zone and ran over to look at the giant eyeball for 10 seconds. I love cities for the quirk and the history, I also visited Bonnie & Clyde’s graves in Dallas. It’s nice to hike in the woods but I crave mental stimulation. Been learning controlled breathing & meditation lately to settle my brain.

You have travel and seen so many places if you continue to travel it would just be geography so be with family sleep in a real bed cook in a real kitchen so are priceless and we love viewing that aspect of your videos

That eye ball installation is very close to a unique infinity pool. The Joule Hotel has a pool that hangs off the building. You maybe able to get access for a short visit as there is a spa there aswell. You could face your height fear.
FYI…the eyeball is close to my old eye doctor.
would your berkey have done the same thing? I know what your talking about when you say a metallic taste in the water some places put fluoride in their water, or you can sometimes smell chlorine don't know what it is.
Enjoy your videos with your family do you just have one sibling. And by the way you look nice with your hair up it slims your face and has a Audrey Hepburn vibe. And the color really comes out.
