I'm from England, innocent people over here are killed from illegal guns in England that criminals and gangsters have. It is not the guns that kill people, it is the bad people that pull the trigger. Justaperson gripping a mag well to fire is a valid method. It is not the most stable platform for firing; however is a more comfortable for some people, increases weapon retention and maneuverability in confined spaces. I have heard from several folks (but only heard) that it even is part of Marine Corps training. You can even buy silly grips that go on the mag well to increase grip, but I'd rather just buy more mags. I personally swap back and forth based on the situation(and honestly just how I feel at the moment) and I am of the opinion that 'proper form' is whatever works for you, as long as it is safe.

With the exception of explosives, I believe we should have the same rifles as the military but I don't think we should have any weapon they have. I don't think citizens need explosives because there's no way to differentiate between good or bad targets. Guns can discriminate between targets but explosives kill everyone in the vicinity no matter your intent.
when the constitution was written, a civilian could be armed equally to the military in every way. people nowdays say "well the founding fathers just ment muskets and stuff" but they forget the context that those weapons were all the military had as well, so comparitively we have far less arms rights than we did when the constitution was written, because the government has acess to far, far supirior armerment than civilians.

I'm from England, innocent people over here are killed from illegal guns in England that criminals and gangsters have. It is not the guns that kill people, it is the bad people that pull the trigger. In England we have no protection from crazy people who break into our homes, in fact, some homeowners have been prosecuted for attacking burglars! I lived in Upstate NY in the countryside where people owned guns legally and the crime rate was low, when I visited NYC, where guns are banned more people get killed by them. As an Englishman, it is not for me to tell you how to live your lives, but if you have a second amendment that allows guns it is your choice to protect your rights and I respect that.
umm not really, 2011 there were like 60 people killed with guns in the whole year, thats like 0.000001% of the population. these are almost all linked to gang violence too. Justaperson gripping a mag well to fire is a valid method. It is not the most stable platform for firing; however is a more comfortable for some people, increases weapon retention and maneuverability in confined spaces. I have heard from several folks (but only heard) that it even is part of Marine Corps training. You can even buy silly grips that go on the mag well to increase grip, but I'd rather just buy more mags. I personally swap back and forth based on the situation(and honestly just how I feel at the moment) and I am of the opinion that 'proper form' is whatever works for you, as long as it is safe.

With the exception of explosives, I believe we should have the same rifles as the military but I don't think we should have any weapon they have. I don't think citizens need explosives because there's no way to differentiate between good or bad targets. Guns can discriminate between targets but explosives kill everyone in the vicinity no matter your intent.
when the constitution was written, a civilian could be armed equally to the military in every way. people nowdays say "well the founding fathers just ment muskets and stuff" but they forget the context that those weapons were all the military had as well, so comparitively we have far less arms rights than we did when the constitution was written, because the government has acess to far, far supirior armerment than civilians.

Piers, even though I answered your question about why anyone needs an AR15, I will tell you this.
They are allowed to have an AR15 for any and every reason they want (other than shooting innocent people or shooting at things they aren't allowed to shoot).
Just like you may divorce your spouse or fire your employees for any and every reason you want or how some people think women should be allowed to have an abortion for any and every reason they want.
So quite frankly, there is no rule that says anybody has to tell you why they deserve AR15s. If anyone decides to tell you why, that's just them being kind.
