*Please note the 37 Pickups count in-game is in fact incorrect, as explained at 44:11, there are 36 Pickups
Fun fact: for the poster of Gianni they (originally) used a picture of Harry Houdini and added a mustache.
Ugh, this level was so difficult and tangled for young me. I even had dreams about it.
Actually, I have a fun story about the very end of the level. When I finally got that last door open, I was expecting some kind of ambush. Right after fighting a tough guy with a bunch of other enemies, I was not sure if the Opera level did resolve already or it was just a preparation for something bigger.
I approached the door with all possible precautions and peeked through it. And yes! There was someone far in the room! Some unusually colored and unusually posed human figure. That should be it, the Big Boss! Luckily, the battle was not triggered yet. I stepped back, refilled my health, checked on the ammo I have, and prepared a rough strategy for the fight. Then I took my shotgun, run into the door and started blasting violently toward the enemy.
And it appeared to be the girl art on the plane😅But in my defense, PS1 jumpy pixelated graphics made it even harder to recognize.
Comment for the algorithm
First persom shooter TR seems kinda cool xD @ 37:46
Actually, this is already made possible via OpenLara, you can play the entirety of TR1 as an fps, it does make my head spin
@@zelgadis115 I can't possibly imagine how difficult that's gotta be 😂
Is it possible the complete the level without getting the Relay Box and working the elevator?
Absolutely, as per the shortcut at 00:50:56
Once you make it to the Opera House top floor, you can pretty much make a running jump to the balcony with the switch to the final warehouse
@@zelgadis115 yes, but what if you want to get the circuit board and the key? Can you jump down into the water from the elevator shaft? Btw: thanks once again for another amazing content
@@serru22ah, for that specifically you do need to get the elevator working to get it out of the way of the left elevator shaft and reach the underwater area with the circuit board.
The right elevator shaft that is always accessible is blocked off from the left one via an underwater level grate 00:39:16 , which is openable only from the left side where the circuit board is
@@zelgadis115 thanks a lot ☺️
The original skyline of Venetian buildings was way better.
Agreed, this is the same skybox used in the Unfinished Business Egyptian level, which is odd
