Your snowfall overlays are great. It's instantly winter and _Christmas._

Honestly, you can kind of the see the precursor to design choices that went into making the prison level from TR: III.

About reflections on materials like glass:
I have learned that the graphics-rendering technique in question is called _"cube mapping."_
It's cheap to make, cheap to render, easy/cheap on the artists and designers, and it's early 2000s era-appropriate so as not to break the cohesion by introducing super high fidelity reflections into a low fidelity game, which would also greatly increase hardware requirements.
Lastly, its "reflections" will be passable for the ignorant and unaware, as well as the enthusiast much of the time.
    Thus. Cheap and effective. :)
The issue you refer to is common and unfortunate. If the skybox, textures, props or other world details are changed and the cubemaps aren't updated, an immersion-breaking inconsistency is created as consequence. You'd hope there's a standard procedure that _"hey, if we change this map, we need to generate the cube maps all over again."_

That makes perfect sense, and most people will not consciously notice this and it's efficient.
However the fact that Tomb Raider 1 for PSX had real time reflections applied on the Save Crystals all the way back in 1996 gave me hope we would see them here

Ah, you are correct, I think in the Rusty Wreckage Room of 40 Fathoms where explosion will change the landscape

Interesting, didn't know about there being a safe square. There is something similar in TRIII's Madubu Gorge where 1 square among deadly water rapids is safe to land on and useful for speedrunning

Aaaasnd there it is. The one rooms that gave child-Akira the shivers. I hated the chandeliers so much, that I still have a bad feeling when playing the level nowadays. And I can't even Tell why that is... 😩

    zelgadis115, I don't follow Tomb Raider news,
so I'm curious if additional games are planned to receive similar re-release care as these three games in 2024? Last Revelation and Chronicles?
    Do we know anything?

So far we know nothing official about that :(
      Many fans wish for 4, 5 & 6 trilogy remastered, personally I only have hopes for TR4 & TR5.
Predictions are made based on rough sales figures that TR I - III Remasters were really successful across all platforms and Remastering 4 & 5 would be the next logical step, but that's not a guarantee.
      Currently we know nothing

Armor looks vaguely Babylonian or Assyrian, though couldn't say why it would be in Venice.

In that case that would probably be a trophy from a war campaign from centuries ago, although it would still make more sense to see some Turkish design, due to a massive war between Turkey & Venice in the past
