    Points to note
    Sections
    First section- Ear to nape
    Second section -Ear to temple
Top section - Crown of head
    Ear to nape
Once you are confident with the section secure it out of the way.
    Ear to temple
Since everyone's hairline is different try to line the temple with the center of each eyebrow
Align the comb horizontally and connect it to each side.
    Middle section
    Separate it into two parts.
Tip:Use the tail of comb for parting long lines and use the tooth end for fine detailed work .
    Symmetry parts
Turn the comb vertically and part downwards to create the other box.
    To have even boxes
Locate the mid point of the nape and create a vertical line to endure an even distribution on each side
Work your way upwards with a standard brick lay method.
To maintain symmetry create vertical lines on the second row that cut right down the middle of each box on the bottom row
Note: For symmetry box it's best to start with the foundation of an even row of boxes because boxes have four sides and four angles.
    Triangle parts
Since triangles have three sides and three angles , it's best to start the foundation of the row with an odd number such as 3,5,7,9.... to have points that you can match the triangles to as you move up in the rows.

I’ve always watched braiding videos but for some reason I never had the confidence to pick up some braiding hair until I stumbled upon your braid school series. I did box jumbo box braids (really badly) for the first time in my life last week !! I’m getting myself a Sheila to practice on because I’m done with wearing wigs and there are five women in my house and none of us know how to braid so you can imagine how much money we spend on hair 😂 my mom said to me finally we are going to have a braider in the house. Your videos are amazing !!! Thank you ❤️❤️

I really needed this video. My 2 year old natural hair is FINALLY the length at which I can braid it in almost any style without extensions. I just can't do 2 sections parted down the middle yet. So I can't yet do my Cardi B braids. Lol. However, I can now improve my hair braiding styles very much using your well explained techniques. Now, if I could pull off some triangles, no one would be able to tell me anything for the two weeks that I'd wear that style! Thanks for sharing

Thanks and you are right...I love braid school bc it makes me a better braid for doing my own girl and my girls hair when I just need to do their hair inexpensively or when I cant get into a professional braider's ( one I trust) schedule. And it also cant get pricey with three females going to their hair braided. I also learn techniques on braiding my son's natural hair. He only wants cornrows or braid styles that he is only going to wear for a few days not like my girls so its cheaper for me to do his hair. AGAIN THANKS FOR STARTING BRAID SCHOOL. Its really help me to do my own hair better

Thank you for this, my daughter is in her high school cosmetology class and is maybe one of two African American students. She is always helping the other students part so this is helpful for her and her classmates. Plus she is in geometry now. 🤦🏽

Oh my god when you went over the triangle method, my mouth dropped to the floor when you explained how the number of sides is the number of spaces in the foundation row. I can’t tell you how long I was STRUGGLING with this. Thank you a million times. Btw love your channel! Your the reason I save money on getting my hair done!

Thank you for teaching about parting. I like to do my own hair and I had no clue how different partings worked. Now I can confidently do my hair at home

You're SUCH an amazing teacher....I had difficulty understand the tip for beginners...working from the inside out. May you please expand on that?
