- When we mention Creed, your mind likely jumps to Aventus, but there's another fragrance within Creed's impressive collection that, for me, might be even better. In this video, I'll share my thoughts and opinions about this somewhat under-the-radar fragrance from Creed. What did you think of the review? What other fragrances might you like to see featured with in-depth reviews?

This is THE cologne. Never smelt anything better.
You must never wash with Irish spring soap smells like that
@@user-pp9bl5gr1n if this smells like irish spring to you i want the irish spring you have
Parfums de Marly Layton, check this one out and lemme know
My 2nd fav creed, but it smells a bit simple to me. My fav is viking (not cologne).
I dog set / house set for a doctor and a lawyer. 7000 sq ft house built in the 1960s it looks like a castle the inside is decorated like a Tudor home. This is what the house smells like I love this cologne I just got my first travel spray sized sample of it today and I'm in love
I bought my son a bottle of GIT when he was16 & it immediately became his signature. He is now 30 & hasn't worn anything else since. What a beautiful scent it is, masculine & confident, it somehow manages to be perfect for absolutely any occasion. It's pricy, but such an excellent choice!

Green Irish Tweed was my first Creed purchase back in 2002. I keep two bottles on hand always, the smaller one for travel. Another great solid review.
how do you find the performance of the new batches compared to those older ones that you've had over the years?
I remember my first time wearing this beforehand I was nervous being that it is from 85 I was hoping it didn't have that old man smell. Upon spraying I realized how dumb I was to doubt the scent is timeless. Everything everyone says was truly timeless, the perfect spring scent, it smells of fresh-cut grass. I had an 8ml sample and immediately went online to get a full bottle this is a top 5 fragrance to me.
what are your top 5 fragrances?
Yeah I’m also dying to know your top 5 Fragrances
I have bought Lataffa Raghba Man. Anyone know how close is this clone to the original Green Irish Tweed?
Great production value on these videos. Interested to see TB’s take and, quite frankly, if there’s anything left to say about these fragrances.
Great work on this Teddy. Love this channel and it's growth.
I remember being a college freshman in 2010 and reading reviews of GIT. Didn't have anywhere near the amount of money needed so I got another bottle of YSL L'homme instead. 12 years later and it's finally mine. I sometimes wonder how my life might've been different if I had it for all those years because this shit is amazing lol
Life would have been exactly the same.
You should have just gotten cool water 😂
Al rehab black champion
YSL L'homme is my standard, but I am starting to go down the Creed Bois de Portugal or Viking path now.
I agree with so much of what was said about GIT. It's the one fragrance by Creed I think is worth the money. It smells so natural on top of everything else. The best accessory for GIT is a green MGA convertible on a fall day.
Silver Mountain Water might top it. I love them both.
More of these for sure! I’d love to see Encre Noire Sport featured for its quality to price ratio.
They don't do cheap fragrances.
Superb review..concise with all the relevant details👍🏽👍🏽
Glad to finally own a GIT as my first Creed fragrance. Eyeing Bois du Portugal next. Heard so much good stuff about it.
One of my favorite! Great video!!
I tested this with my wife over the weekend and she about lost her mind about how it smelled. I bought it instantly. Great fragrance.
Your comment was the one that finally made me pull the trigger on a bottle.
GIT or Davidoff

I’ve had three women approach and compliment me for this fragrance the first year I wore it. The waitress at a restaurant had to ask what I was wearing because she wanted to buy it for her boyfriend, while I was having dinner with my girlfriend. Decided then and there I’m wearing the same one for the rest of my life, nostalgic fresh smell that works year round in Sweden. Winter? Fresh winter walk in the woods. Summer? Lily’s in the pond and freshly cut grass. Works perfectly with all seasons in my country.
Nice video, been wanting to get this one for a while, just needed convincing 👍🏻
Great review. Never smelled this one. Will pick it up thanks to you!
Certainly sample before you try. One of my favorites from creed though. Thanks for watching!
@@BaldassarreFragrance Yes, I will!
Love the content. Keep it up.
GIT is really solid, but doesn't quite eclipse Bois Du Portugal as my go-to Creed frag. Great recommendation.
Great content! Just an FYI since I've heard you say it in a few videos... Davidoff is pronounced (dah-vi-doff). It's an amazing renowned Tobacco company that makes some of the best Cigars!
I absolutely LOVE Green Irish Tweed!! I just wish I could afford a full bottle...lol
Great video...thanks!
Keep up the good work I just smelled two Creed fragrances aventus and green Irish tweed millesime
I’m so tempted to get this.
A great alternative is Green Irish Tobacco by Happyland. It's a great twist and heard most people prefer it over creeds. And it's cheaper 😁
this and Aramis are my favorites... I like many others, but these are my two favorites.
I got to test out a sample vial of GIT and it smells super classy and versatile. Still out of my price range right now though
Creed is one of my favorite houses, but they are a very controversial and polarizing one. There are as many Creed haters out there as lovers, due to a myriad of factors such as marketing narratives, perceived quality and scent variations, false perfumer attribution, and simple posturing and bandwagoning. Seems to be almost a badge of FragHead sophistication bonafides to hold a nose up at Creed. But as I perceive them, they have released several masterpiece-level fragrances in their (real) history, Green Irish Tweed among them. Aventus is the "most successful niche fragrance in history" at least among masculine releases. The masculine analogue to Chanel No. 5's impact in its first decade of existence. Bois du Portugal is my personal favorite and a masterpiece in my opinion. The smoothest fragrance ever. EROLFA is one of the most underrated fragrances ever in my opinion. I think it is truly a historical masterpiece because it is imo the greatest true marine/oceanic scent ever. And it was released in 1992, early for an "aquatic" let alone the greatest of that genre, ever. Truly historic. Scent wise an almost photorealistic spray of salty Mediterranean sea mist in the face while sailing. Royal Oud, released just one year after Aventus, and getting lost in the bright light of Aventus attention, is another masterpiece-level frag imo. It's on a recent list of Sebastian's (The Perfume Guy) personal masterpieces too. It smells "golden" and regal, and would be my choice of ideal formal scent to wear if I were being coronated king. There is a Creed magic, which is not surprising given that so many in the industry consider Olivier Creed to be the best scent evaluator of the last 50 years. This was a revelation in the recent book The Ghost Perfumer, a Creed exposé. No matter what people think of Olivier Creed's business practices, people in the industry as esteemed as Master Perfumer Pierre Bourdon consider him a genius scent evaluator who goes out of his way to use the finest ingredients.
EROLFA is amazing 🙌🙌🙌
Too long didn't read Tom Ford is the only polarizing brand out there. Creed fragrances are complex. Long story short is by the vintage fragrances from Creed because the new ones are garbage and overpriced
@@daddyty9083 “Too long didn’t read” but than you proceed to write your own paragraph. Who in their right mind would respect or acknowledge what you’ve written after an immature response.
You are the epitome of people today. Grow up, mature some more, and work on your god awful attention span.
You guys try Grassland by Banana Republic… it’s a mix of Creeds G.I.T. n PDM Sedley..wore it heavy this Spring n will this summer as well. A hidden 💎!
Once again, your video quality is far above all other reviewers on youtube! Bravo!
Thank you!
@@BaldassarreFragrance check the difference of the git and aventus profile of the uk versions from the usa versions.
I couldn't agree more with what you said ,GIT is a masterpiece
The opening is absolutely amazing, I’m still unsure if I enjoy the dry down as much!
The average person in the street will think you're wearing Cool Water, they really will. It's very similar in the air to average person.
Me too. I love the opening, but GIT’s drydown is really too mature or even dated to me. I think it is more suitable for men aged 35+. IMHO I still rank Aventus and Aventus Cologne higher than GIT.
I feel the exact opposite, I don't care for the opening as much as I appreciate the dry down, my girlfriend has one of my jackets with Green Irish Tweed on it, she recently told me she smells it up daily. Aventus is my daily go to but I wear Green Irish Tweed for dress up and it really doesn't matter which one I'm wearing I can hear her smelling heavily through her nose every time we embrace, she loves them both.
Green Irish Tweed and aventus alike scream sophistication and masculinity.
Thanks for your opinion, it was really usefull! Yesterday, I saw the bottle of GIT in a shop and I really like it. But, I think I should try other alternative fragrance from this video.
I will subscribe on your channel.
One of my favorites simply timeless…
I got a really good deal on the Men's Holiday Gift Coffret Set, 5 x 0.33 oz. during black Friday at Nemian Marcus , it has the most
popular creed product’s. it’s pretty cool should last me at least 2 years since i work from home and when i do go out i spray about 1 or 2 sprays all you really need.
I have this, Aventis and Vining from Creed.......have you ever reviewed Viking? I love it....thanks for the great Videos!
Could you do a video on fragrance basics like you've done for watches?
I just received it in the mail and will try it later. What is your view or opinion on YSL Tuxedo fragrance?
When you started this channel I thought yeah I'll go to the department store and smell a few things, and unfortunately because of the price this is the one i loved...so I bought it. You described it better than I ever could.
You should hear him rap about watches lol
Some people say it has been duped by Cool Water considering it was created by the same perfumer
This one is one of the greatest men fragrances of all times, I prefer it to Aventus.
It’s very mature though, very stately, for very formal evenings.
I just bought GIT a few weeks ago and it surpassed my expectations . Three shots with the atomizer is all you need . It has great projection and lasts a good 8+ hours .
I personally have this and I absolutely LOVE it, I wear it during fancy occasions and laid back relaxing scenarios. It is such a versatile, fresh fragrance I honestly can't get enough of it. Creed has yet to do me wrong. However, I can say, I'm not a super big fan of Aventus and feel it is extremely overrated.
It is.
I don’t get the hype on Aventus
@@derrickferguson8274 thank you. I wear Greenbriar by Caswell Massey and am 100% happy
Aventus is nice when you spray lightly at least a foot away from your body. It actually smells lighter which changes the way it smells. Once you do this, it smells incredible. Try it.
Personally i found GIT to be over hyped. Smells like the automatic spray air fresheners they have in shopping mall toilets.
Do viking next! One of my favorites
I like this perfume for his versality plus I live in a hot country so I dont need a winter fragrance.
I bought a travel spray sample of GIT....thought I got scammed or a watered down version and probably did. But then the guy at Dillards sprayed a sample of the real thing and it smelled just like the one I bought. It smells okay, but considering the excessive hype I'd say the emperor has no clothes. $400? I don't think so.
I wish that you try Franck Olivier Oud touch and oud vanille
without watching the video. my only problem with this fragrance, I think its not very projecting unless i spray loads. this is my favourite fragrance of them all though in terms of smells.
Great video. 👍
I ordered L'aventure Knight by Al Haramain cologne for men EDP, .....can't wait to see what it's like. I wanted to get Armaf Tres Nuit but don't want to have it shipped all the way from India.
I have all 3 and L’aventure knight is closer but more powdery even more than the original. It’s a great smell tho
Green Irish Tweed has been my go to for years. I love it, but I wish the performance was better.
If you haven't already, give Silver Mountain Water and Erolfa a try. They are every bit as classy and captivating as GIT, but geared toward summer.
@@travisn346 agree with SMW. I wear it for casual occasions.
It is so incredibly fresh.
Would you say it would be a good school fragrance or good on a younger person
The fragrance can be perceived as dated. However personally I love it so much it is one I will always wear no matter what people think.
Wait....... Teddy does smell goods too? Damn. Had me a fan of watches for the last 3 years. Had no idea. YES Teddy!!
my Creed Lineup is:
Aventus
Green Irish Tweed
Silver Mt Water
Millesime Imperial
Yes I knew I was right about this fragrance :)
GIT is a awesome scent, Clint Eastwood wears it, so it HAS to be good!
My first time actually spending money on a cologne this is what I bought. It was worth every penny.
Green Irish tweed is the best
Once upon a time, had to choose between 2 Creeds; GIT or Green Valley. Absolutely love GIT. But decided to go for GV. It’s a bit different. Not as common (GIT’s cause kinda affected by Cool Water). But might get GIT in the future
So is creed the Patek of the fragrance game?
Creeds half off on discounters RN so I'm watching all kinds of reviews. I've smelled aventus but the tester is still $300. GiT tester is $230 for a 3.3 rn
What is the Best Clone? Ragbha ???
This is my all-time favorite cologne in this simulated reality. It's what Davidhoff Coolwater tried to imitate over 25 years ago but failed.
Cologne of this caliber (and price tag) have a good amount of pheremone as well. But don't get me wrong. Whether it has pheremone or not is irrelevant to it's allure. The scent is truly timeless.
Are you aware that these two fragrances happened to be created by the same perfumer. They were just created purposely for different markets I would think❤.
@@penparnsailarm7094you hit the nail on the head, the perfumer that collabed with Olivier Creed (Pierre Bourdon) did Cool Water. I do like Cool Water for daily wear and GIT for fancier occasions. I found one at $225 in December and sold an unused guitar of mine to offset that haha.
Truly a lovely cologne, both are.
I bought two bottles about 1 year apart, they smell the same to me, i use it every night before bed, along with rain sounds, i fall asleep feeling like I am in the deep woods. My wife tolerates me cause i smell good :)
The best spring or rainy day cologne... PERIOD
Green Irish Tweed is my dress up fragrance but Aventus is my daily go to.
There's a couple takeoffs of Green Irish Tweed but there's nothing like the original. I've loved it since the first time I smelled it, I remember walking by a guy about 8 years ago at Panda Express on the South Hill of my city and being blown away by how fabulous he smelled and asked him what he was wearing he told me Green Irish Tweed and that his wife bought it for him while on vacation in Europe. I've been hooked ever since.
amber oud carbon edition is a great high quality clone
Before you buy Green Irish Tweed YOU NEED TO KNOW...
...it's just, well, it's just great. Have fun.
I love this fragrance. But, not the price. Try Irish Countryside from Italian barber. Very similar, not overwhelming. Doesn’t last as long but is so much less $$.
Amazing smell, but at the price point, you need something that can last bare minimum hours.
I wear ombre nomad and it lasts near 12 hours
I love your channel
What came first Green Irish Tweed or Black Ice Car Air Freshener??
I get that - and I love GIT.
I love this version but it makes me feel like I can’t breathe
Check out Emerald Isle by Parfum Vintage
But Snoop didn’t say “my Johnson’s baby powder and green Irish tweed cologne” 😂 so I’m a stick with the cheapie on this occasion (probably the only occasion I choose the cheapie though).
Snoop didn't know about the good sh*t yet in '93.
I heard folks compare this with Himalaya. Are they similar???
Not that much imo. Shared Creed DNA but Himalaya might be closer to Silver Mountain Water and a few others. Green Irish Tweed's DNA brother is the discontinued Creed Green Valley. Man I wish Green Valley was still in production. Good luck trying to find a bottle. Nearly impossible.
It is only 240€ in Germany in regular boutiques that is 269$ - probably for some a no brainer…
green Irish tweed is the scent of Viking king. It’s sharp but inviting. Clean and professional. A true gentleman’s fragrance.
That would be Creed Viking, not Creed Green Irish Tweed.
@@almark6548 I’ve tried that also personally wasn’t as commanding of a fragrance.
I went to the store to smell some Creed a few days ago. Ended up getting their 10ml sample pack. Sadly, it didn’t come boxed with Green Irish Tweed so can’t comment much. Did sample it at the store but it wasn’t particularly memorable to me. I might get a sample when I decide to purchase a creed. Thinking maybe Aventus or Silver Mountain Water. Idk yet.
i have 2023 F Batch. lasts 3 hrs on clothing!! gutted
It smells just like the GI Joe kids cologne from the 80's 😄
It’s great for 45 minutes
Totally class perfume
oh yeah 😎
In Europa ( Netherlands) this one cost 230 euro (245$) for 100ml idk why is so expensive in US 😂
It's because we're EU countries
It really sucks when you wear GIT and everybody thinks it is Cool Water because of how popular Cool Water is and people's familiarity with it...
GIT doesn’t smell anything like cool water. GIT have a spicy smell to it
I have aventus and I like it alot . I tried GIT and I didn’t like it at all for me it smells like those lemon cleaning wipes from tesco .
I love this but need a female version
As much as I enjoy Creed and have several, Green Irish Tweed has always been a hard pass for me. Smells like being in a giant pine forrest, and I've never gotten the hype about, but that's just my take.
I agree, I thought I was crazy. Glad im not the only one.
@@lmtd4r966 nope me too. It’s for old men. It’s not appealing to the masses. Il trying to sell mine
Yeah it's definitely not for children
Green Irish Tweed or Aventus? I'm having a hard time choosing...
Maybe I can help. I bought a sample set with Aventus, Aventus Cologne, and GIT. I get the appeal of Aventus, but after wearing it a few times, I've decided I don't care for the smokiness. I prefer the much fresher Aventus Cologne to Aventus, but haven't decided whether it's a buy. I've already pulled the trigger on a 100ml bottle of GIT because it's just undeniable. I even put GIT on one arm and Cool Water in the other to compare. Initially, there are similarities, but after a bit of dry down, GIT is more sweet and rich, where Cool water is aquatic, soapy, and clearly just a cheap pretender to the throne.
@@hangtimedangjang Thanks for the response! I have a few samples of Aventus and GIT I've been wearing for the last week or so and I feel like I'm having a similar experience to you. Sometimes Aventus smells fantastic but other times it can be overpowering for me. As for GIT, it wears so well especially with a suit but either it doesn't perform as well for me or I go noseblind to it quickly. I'm leaning towards GIT for a signature scent but my wife loves Aventus so it might be great for special occasions.
@@deschaine631 yeah man. I find that my favorite fragrances are kind of like me at parties. "I'm here for a good time, not a long time".

My bottle is coming in this Saturday. I have an interview on Tuesday. Should I wear this, or BDC EDP?
Pre 2016, 24 hour presence because of genuine ingredients and ambergris. Stuff is crap now thanks to regulations.
Floris JF is you want to save money
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
the only problem that I have with this fragrance, in addition to the price is the mediocre longevity. That is not acceptable.
It is perfectly acceptable, if you want a chemical loaded bomb that lasts 8 hours buy something else. Creed is refined and luxurious.
GIT is the GOAT!
I will advise any man to start out with Aventus and Green Irish Tweed!
216 Stand uppppppp!
It's the only scent I wear. Turns women's heads immediately!
Buy Cool Water same thing
To me, it smells the exact same as Irish Spring bar soap.
It smells a bit like axe body wash lmao
