I guy I used to work with wore it. A real nice funny guy who enjoyed the finer things in life. Came into the office one day wearing it and I shouted over Ah you're rocking the cool water today...His face dropped😂
Dude, I had a cousin blind smell GIT and he yelled “Cool Water, 100%”! I told him it was Creed and that I paid $230 for it and he laughed soo F*%#ing hard. 😢
Cool water nowhere near close. Theres difference cool water smells synthetic. Green Irish tweed way cleaner. The People says negative about this , obviously don’t know anything fragrances. 😊
@@eugenegutierrez5106 To an untrained nose it most definitely does! Let’s be honest here and look at the fact the same perfumer created both. The similarities are there my friend.

Why do you think all his videos are “This is great…….but I would do it so much better for so much cheaper”” He’s reviewing fragrances, pretending to be on your side while basically doing a commercial for his brand. Why sell you a link when he can sell your a fragrance of which he’s the owner.
@@Fragrancenoob what? Lmao. His fragrances are sometimes three times the price of what he’s reviewing. He doesn’t at all say it how you’re trying to say he does… that’s crazy.

Absolutely gorgeous perfume, got a bottle for my birthday, it's just me! I absolutely love it. It doesn't last very long that's the only problem. Keep up the great work 👍
This is their best, for me at least, it's just so consistently pleasing throughout its wear time, and the various different batches of it don't seem to change the heart of the fragrance too much.
This and Royal Oud are the only two Creeds I genuinely enjoy, with Royal Oud being the only one I would actually pay money for, at least the amount Creed is asking. So I really hope you get to review it one day. Knowing how critical you are towards anything that says Oud, I think your take on it would be very interesting!
you inspired my son to become a perfume making hobbiest, he built a complete lab in his basement... so far, results are not great, but he is having fun! I love Green Irish Tweed, it is my daily wear and even i do a squirt at night, put on rain sounds, and drift off to sleep. Boss Bitch is my favorite of yours, i wear it when i go out. Thanks for the amazing content on youtube!!
Love this offering from Creed. Was the very first one I bought back in 2002. Smelled better years ago, but is still a classy force to be reckoned with. Thanks for reviewing this.
@@hobbob9938 Creed didn't give him credit so he took his formula and shopped it around. No one would give him the time of day until Davidoff stepped in.
On have they changed, I think it's generally accepted since Creed was acquired their performance of many favourites have dropped, MI, GIT, Aventus etc.
I was a creed guy it was my gateway drug into cologne but I eventually got the blue beast from amouage and you could really see the quality differences. Amouage is wildly expensive but you can get a discounted bottle here and there that are legit . I got interlude black iris for much less than this fragrance retails for and the quality difference is massive .
The scent is just perfect for me. It's masculine without being aggressively metallic or loud. I don't wear loads of scent. I go light with colognes and that's the first of only two downwides with Creed fragrances. They use ambergris and old-timey ingredients so their fragrances don't have much hang-time. It's 50% worn off by the afternoon. The top notes are all worn off after a few hours and there's just the base-layer is left. I used to keep a tiny decanted atomizer in my desk at work to reload some later in the day. The other thing is the cost. It's excessive, as the video points out, especially for a scent that wears off rather quickly.
Yeah, it's nice, but Creed are ridiculously overpriced. I think people are starting to realise that Creed aren't as good as Creed makes themselves out to be. They have some very good frags, but maybe not great.
A shame Creed has become a weak performer in general. 🤔 (Layered on my skin 1 spray of an old formulation of Aventus completely dominated 4 sprays of 1 Million.)
didnt he already do indirectly? knowing that aaron does not like aquatics 😊 however, there is a nice parfums vintage revival of the vintage git version i highly recommend
Funny, I just did. 🙂 Having them next to each other. Asking some women if they're alike (next to another not that similar) and which one is better smelling (Creed, but expected, given the price).
They reason reason they smell similar is because the perfumer that did both of these fragrances is Pierre Bourdon (who didn’t get credit for it from Creed). Bourdon took the same formula and shopped it around to designers, was getting turned down by the big names until Davidoff came and said “heck yeah we’ll take this!”. To the average person, Cool Water and Green Irish Tweed smell identical.
On Fragmentals channel when you blind smelled Green Irish Tweed you said it smelled blue and that you didn't like it. Has your opinion changed on this fragrance? I remember you weren't liking Creed fragrances.
I finally pulled the trigger and bought GIT and I must say, the drydown is where the magic happens for me, and where the clones come short. There are some clones with similar opening, but noen of them has the beautiful drydown the original has. Love this one! 🥰
Perfumed by Pierre Bourdon in 1985. He tweaked the formula into Cool Water a couple years later. Yes, it used to be stronger. Progressively watered down over the last 10-ish years. Same as the rest of the Creed line As always, good job Aaron.

Hey Aaron can i suggest you to review guerlain l'homme ideal line (extreme and edp version). Recently I bought extreme and smelt edp, nothing like them, very unique scents, i think you would like it. Only bad thing about them they don't last long. Big regards.
I used to wear Davidoff Cool Water in my Highschool years. I recently got a sample of GIT and it immediately smelled like CW to me. It would be interesting to see you do a comparison. I also did not know that they were both done by the same perfumer. Makes sense.
Hello Aaron, is there by any chnace, a posssibilty of you opening a factory or a parfumery inside of the EU. I'd gladly buy your fragrances always directly from your web site, as I find them very interesting and nice and want to give the money directly to you, but sadly UK left the EU and along with it came these pretty much big import taxes and duties on everything from outside the EU. I wanted to buy Daddy from your web site but unfortunately would need to pay about 60 euros only for import taxes and then 7 euro plus for duties( I live in Germany) wich makes it a bit, hmm to much. Are there maybe parfumeries inside Germany that offer your parfumes?
No one reviews fragances more in-depth, or with more intuitive knowledge than Aaron. Thank you very much for your reviews. You're the only reviewer who comes across completely honest, and with great knowledge.
McDonalds St. Patrick's Day milkshake (as I imagine such a thing to smell!). In a good way, genuinely-pure green & creamy. But that's kind of it. Prob a great smell to wear in a suit in the spring (or everyday in the spring). Just think green & creamy, and you've got it.
I have a older bottle of GIT in the 4 oz bottle, and a newer bottle from 2020. I can say between my bottles the 4 oz and the 2020 that my older one lasts longer and projects better ever so slightly. GIT was my first niche fragrance so it holds a special place in my heart, it is truly fantastic and my favorite Creed.
maybe it's because the older bottle has been macerating for so long? lots of people say Creed needs to have a few month after first spraying it for the oils and everything to start playing fully.
@@rncrntdh8 Could be? Not 100% sure, but I know something like this happened to my bottle of Viking that I bought new, was not a big fan, then on a whim about 6 months down the line tried it again, totally different smell for the better.
@@imaquis8368 yeap, that's probably true. Will monitor my recently bought GIT for the next few month, but honestly the modern juice in there seems to perform very good even without maceration.
DO NOT buy Creed fragrances anymore!!!!!!!!! They used to be my go to house 7 - 9 years ago. It's not the same at all the fragrances are highly concentrated & watered down. I used to put on a Creed and get compliments 8 hours later from a distance. Todays Creed will last no more than 60-90 minutes and even at that the scent is so much weaker. It's a real shame what greed can do to companies.
The *orginal* non-reformatuated was less expensive than today's version and well worth the *price* because it was long lasting and a *champion* for the *price* back then.
This fragrance will always hold a special place in my heart as it was one of the more elegant fragrances I had tried and actually could still smell on my pillow the next time I went to lie down and there was something about the majestic matte bottle which tilted it's top hat towards Cary Grant for whom the fragrance was created. I don't think it is as powerful as it use to be (sadly). I took a chance once and bought one of ebay from a guy in my country who's girlfriend bought it from an upscale department store but he just didn't care for it. Turned out to be the real schnizzle for 65$. I don't recommend ebay for Creed generally as it is a real crap shoot.
As if I were in a court. 😄. I did actually recently learn George Washington was a fan of perfume. Caswell-Messey is the name of the brand, and they still make it (though of course the formula has changed)
Aaron, I loved your review of Creed's Green Irish Tweed. Many people have reviewed this fragrance but your review is the BEST by far. There are fragrance reviews and then there are reviews by Aaron Terence Hughes. I have said it before and I always will say that your reviews are the gold standard of fragrance reviews.
I tested a vintage batch versus mine, which is a 17Y01, and I noticed a difference (the vintage smell more "floral", and mine is more "greener"). About the performance, I got 10 hours (and more) of performance
When you people compare this to cool water It makes me sick to my stomach...i got a 2022 batch of GIT It smells less verbena than 2021, but Is more balanced with sandalwood and ambergris. No doubt Is reformulated or deconcentrated. But the quality Is there. Projection Is 3 hours and longevity Is 6 hours on my skin. For me its ok. Well i Will obviusly use also vintage bottles...but the 2022 its fine and this DNA Is not so common...
current cool water formulations are very chemical but those vintage batches (from lancaster) are so similar to GIT and yet not as synthetic as current one
Royal oud is prob their best from the line in my opinion a have many creed frags and love them all. GIT is definitely up there as well. I just received a bottle of Erolfa and it seems somewhat changed from what I remember but I still love it. Definitely fits an older demographic but it’s very well done.
Yeah I just had a conversation with a sales representative of the company here in Minneapolis. I was bugging her big time 🤣 she was telling me how the family still goes and searches for materials and how it's a special process.. then when we were smelling the strips I said nope you sprayed the other one on it and we were arguing about it then I told her about how I puked up some spicy stuff through my nose and she walked off..I had a good time there 🤣
I love arguing with moronic creed reps 😂, the second they start giving me that garbage “father to son” sales pitch, i really go off I absolutely love creed, but I’m also not a gullible idiot.
Anyone who wears this fragrance today (2023) can give a genuine feedback about longevity on skin/clothes and sillage? I love this fragrance but I have only tried on my wrist from a tester bottle at John Lewis and I d like to hear some of you! Thank you!
You think the cologne you sprayed is gone because your brain stops processing a scent if you smell it continually for about 20-30 minutes. I don't know why so many people don't know about this. This is why people overspray their colognes and smell like they just broke their bottle of cologne over their heads or something 😂
My favorite new cologne. I bought a bottle for around $250. My brother said why would you spend so much. What a waste of money. The bottle will last the whole year..
Why are people comparing this to Cool Water? Cool water smells like fruity vomit diluted with water. Also, how is this light and airy? It’s very woodsy and green with some dank notes. Mine lasts all day.
I get 8-10 hours out of this fragrance and wafts throughout most of the wear. Absolutely in love after I got a tester definitely full bottle worthy for me !
Creed is amazing. It's been long understood that they've provided the highest levels of perfumery for kings and queens going back eons, including rumors that their family line provided scent experiences for the ancient Mu and Atlantis lost civilizations. Apparently, even for the Pleiadians and Andromedans (tho they keep that on the down-low). This history enables them to charge ten times more for GIT than Cool Water charges, which is the same fragrance...the same, but without the royal history, interplanetary relations and subsequent social proof.
"We have also perfume-houses; wherewith we join also practices of taste. We multiply smells, which may seem strange. We imitate smells, making all smells to breathe out of other mixtures than those that give them." - Sir Francis Bacon, in his book, "The New Atlantis" (published in the year 1626).
I have a 2020 batch bottle of GiT and I hardly ever use it. Primary reason? It doesn't last beyond the first 2 - 3 hours. I was given a 2015 sample of it a while back, and it is noticeably better, both in strength and longevity. Not that I'm even remotely surprised... Creed have been fleecing their loyal customers for at least seven years now. I won a 90% full bottle of July 2019 Royal Oud in a competition, and I'm so, so glad I never actually bought a full bottle of pre-2017. In fact, I have absolutely no intention of buying ANYTHING from them that isn't at least seven or eight years old.

The only problem is Aaron isn't a clone perfumer he's a original artist so if he did do it, it would have a ATH twist on it
It would have been nice with a tiny amount of vetiver in this one.
This and Royal Oud, for me, are the best ones from Creed.
Id love to see you review Creed Royal Oud. It is so good!!!
Hey Aaron can i suggest you to review guerlain l'homme ideal line (extreme and edp version). Recently I bought extreme and smelt edp, nothing like them, very unique scents, i think you would like it. Only bad thing about them they don't last long.
Big regards.
Most the creed brand has been reformulated and doesn’t last long at all I’d prefer a dupe for the price and spray somewhat heavy
L'Aventure Knight, by Al Haramain, is the clone I have and enjoy.
@@RichardOliver thanks for this I shall take a look at this one
Why is my cap gold on my green irish tweed??
Always like to wear GIT to change things up no matter what time of year! ✌️
I used to wear Davidoff Cool Water in my Highschool years. I recently got a sample of GIT and it immediately smelled like CW to me. It would be interesting to see you do a comparison. I also did not know that they were both done by the same perfumer. Makes sense.
I would love a comparison, please do it, Aaron.
It should smell like CW for sure, but not identical
Agreed
I would say, CW smells like GIT, since CW is thought to be a clone of GIT. GIT was made in the year 1985 and CW in 1988. Recognize the OG
@@TheJofrica CW is Dr. Thunder. GIT is Dr. Pepper. That's a perfect description
Amazing perfume, doesn't last long sadly.
Dear Aron,
Do you have some fragrances like in this genre?
My number one fragrance from the house of Creed.
Thanks Aaron.
No one reviews fragances more in-depth, or with more intuitive knowledge than Aaron. Thank you very much for your reviews. You're the only reviewer who comes across completely honest, and with great knowledge.
exactly. very detailed and thorough
Also creed go on about been really old and having X amount of years history I think the first release was the early 80s haha.
I know. Its a joke now!
Pls review The Cobra and The Canary by Imaginary Authors. Your reviews are amazing. Peace from bklyn nyc
The new reformulated GIT has 0 performance 0 projection. You'll be better off with the colognes.
Same story, always got 100ml in my collection
👍
maybe it's because the older bottle has been macerating for so long? lots of people say Creed needs to have a few month after first spraying it for the oils and everything to start playing fully.
Hi Maffa, which fragrance house do you prefer now? Thanks in advance
The *orginal* non-reformatuated was less expensive than today's version and well worth the *price* because it was long lasting and a *champion* for the *price* back then.
I needed this ASMR bro thank you.
i love GIT 🥰
Great review on one of my favourites, totally agree Aaron! 🎯
i really don't want to criticize you because i love your channel but the editing and cuts made watching this quite unbearable
I don't want this one to be my favorite but it just is. I fuckin would drink this shit
My girls favorite creed
Actually it was created for George Washington, by Thomas Jefferson.
@@wib6044 Surely you jest.
Thats very kind. Thank you
Don't play with our emotions with "if I did a scent like this"....WE NEED YOU TO DO A GIT WITH AN ATH TWIST!!!!! PLEEEEEAAAAAASSSSSSSE!!!!!!
When I was in high school, everybody was wearing cool water, so I associate this smell with the locker room, unfortunately I just cannot enjoy it.
Well i Will obviusly use also vintage bottles...but the 2022 its fine and this DNA Is not so common...
current cool water formulations are very chemical but those vintage batches (from lancaster) are so similar to GIT and yet not as synthetic as current one
it makes you sick because you are one of the morons who paid 4x what you could have paid for the same frag, same notes, same perfumier, same smell.
Could you please review the original Spicebomb, Aaron?
yes. Its coming up in the next 2 weeks
i love the scent, but i find it doesn't have good longevity.
I think 🤔💬 of royal family when I smell this
Royal oud is prob their best from the line in my opinion a have many creed frags and love them all. GIT is definitely up there as well. I just received a bottle of Erolfa and it seems somewhat changed from what I remember but I still love it. Definitely fits an older demographic but it’s very well done.
You already blind reviewed this and other Creed perfumes before and you didn't like them without all the information. ;)
I understood about 50% of those words 🤣
Yeah I just had a conversation with a sales representative of the company here in Minneapolis. I was bugging her big time 🤣 she was telling me how the family still goes and searches for materials and how it's a special process.. then when we were smelling the strips I said nope you sprayed the other one on it and we were arguing about it then I told her about how I puked up some spicy stuff through my nose and she walked off..I had a good time there 🤣
I love arguing with moronic creed reps 😂, the second they start giving me that garbage “father to son” sales pitch, i really go off
I absolutely love creed, but I’m also not a gullible idiot.
Anyone who wears this fragrance today (2023) can give a genuine feedback about longevity on skin/clothes and sillage? I love this fragrance but I have only tried on my wrist from a tester bottle at John Lewis and I d like to hear some of you! Thank you!
Aaron, you mentioned Royal Oud. I bought your Oud and threw my Creed Royal Oud away!@. It smells cheap, even synthetic compared to yours.
IIIIIIII Love that Fragrance. Because I Love Green/mossy Fragrances. The same with Davidoff Cool Water. It's a fresher Version of Green Irish tweed.
ALL CREEDS ARE CHANGED TO DOWNSIDE✌️
Why are people comparing this to Cool Water? Cool water smells like fruity vomit diluted with water. Also, how is this light and airy? It’s very woodsy and green with some dank notes. Mine lasts all day.
I get 8-10 hours out of this fragrance and wafts throughout most of the wear. Absolutely in love after I got a tester definitely full bottle worthy for me !
what batch u got?
Creed is amazing. It's been long understood that they've provided the highest levels of perfumery for kings and queens going back eons, including rumors that their family line provided scent experiences for the ancient Mu and Atlantis lost civilizations. Apparently, even for the Pleiadians and Andromedans (tho they keep that on the down-low). This history enables them to charge ten times more for GIT than Cool Water charges, which is the same fragrance...the same, but without the royal history, interplanetary relations and subsequent social proof.
Underrated comment
Had me in the first half 😂
"We have also perfume-houses; wherewith we join also practices of taste. We multiply smells, which may seem strange. We imitate smells, making all smells to breathe out of other mixtures than those that give them." - Sir Francis Bacon, in his book, "The New Atlantis" (published in the year 1626).
@@TheJofrica Olivier's great-great-great-second-cousin's father's great-grandfather's brother I heard.
Yes they had the first, and last perfume retailer in Atlantis.
Dig ur content! Really stoked to check out boss bitch lol maybe for Xmas fingers crossed. I’m hoping maybe u could do a review of Golden Myrrh by Zegna someday sometime! Best regards! Keep up the good work!!
The price point should be the same as Sauvage Elixir but niche quality with the same potency.
I realy enjoy your work here. For me the best channel about perfumery. There is a particular house i would love to see on your channel altough i guess they will not be your favorites. It´s called Heretic and my Number One is Dirty Grass. The marketing is all about natural ingredients and so called clean chemicals, probably a very different angle in comparison and maybe something you would not like so much. Anyway, your comment would mean a lot to me. Dearest Greetings from Germany☺️
This one smells like cat pee on me. I've no idea where Creed get their prices from. Certainly the formulations don't justify it.
