Yesss a reaction finally went through. had two more blocks before this Warren Zevon Werewolves of London and Duran Duran Hungry Like A Wolf
Oh but Ozzie got thru 😃✊✊🤘
Both great songs
React to Someday We’ll Be Together by The Supremes
You may have heard it already, but "Iron Man" is a Black Sabbath tune. How about a reaction video to it?
I just want to reserve a spot for my Australian friends, who can't make it to the premiere. @Turd Ferguson
A very young Ozzy Osborne and Toni Iommi who lost the tips of his fingers. But created his own to be one of the greats of all time
Which is ironic because the guitarists name was on the tip of my tongue which I have lost...
Tony
Iommi, pure legend🥰
Ozzy in all his glory.
One of the best hardrock songs ever. When Ozzy starts to sing, I get chills everytime.
The most head banging song ever, surprised our brains didn't turn to jelly, full volume and air guitars ,happy days
My brain was already jelly (from acid) when I first heard this...LOL!
I'm 66 and can still play a mean Air Guitar but I wished I had learned Air Organ, as well Janice....
Isleofskye am sure it's still possible,go for it ,I used to live in a pretty isolated house and had great times playing these at full volume, unfortunately I had to move and am surrounded by neighbours so I have to tone it down tad ,us sixty something rockers never die
Yep, "Paranoid" ends abruptly. I've always loved that fuzzed out guitar solo. Black Sabbath turned 50 this year. Check out some of these other Black Sabbath classics when you can: "Iron Man", "N.I.B", "The Wizard", "Fairies Wear Boots", "Sweet Leaf", "Black Sabbath", "Children of the Grave", "Supernaut", "Snowblind", and "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" along with many others.
Snow blind
“Warning”
This song reminds me of how fortunate I was to grow up during some of the best music ever.
Should check out "Iron Man" next. It's like the most obvious Black Sabbath song to react to and has one of the most iconic classic rock riffs ever 😉
the top 50 riffs are all Tony Iommi.
ALL other inferior imitators trail in his wake.
Riffmeister General for sure.
@@TheCornishCockney Led Zeppelin is better
@@THEBACKROOMSEXPLORER7 opinions,like arseholes,everyones got one.
Zep AND Sabbath are loved equally by me,along with many others.
All this who's better, who's best nonsense.
Just listen to great music, its all good.
Peace....on you.
🤘
@@TheCornishCockney agreed Metallica is awesome as well as megadeth
The whole album just rocks. Turn it up and enjoy the ride.
Black Sabboth,Ozzy, one of the best bands EVER!
Maybe even the best
The Godfathers of Metal just like Neil is the Godfather of Grunge ...
Yea man this is 50 years old and still not many bands can jam like this. I would stay with the early ones and work up . Try N I B for your next one.
Yeah. The band is 50. Ozzy’s 71. 😁🤘🏻
This is why we all love Ozzy. I saw them in 1976 at Olympia in Detroit when I was 12. So good.
Oh boy! I’m glad the internet didn’t exist when we we’re partying to these guys!!! Their albums were among the most played, for sure. 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
Black Sabbath. You have this senior's appreciate approval.
This helped get me started with Rock 'n Roll . . . heavy stuff!
Oh yeah!!!!!!!
Along with songs like Smoke on The Water, Stairway to Heaven, it will go down as a classic piece of good old British Rock and Roll. They don't make 'em like this any more 😏
Do you think Smoke on the water is better than Child in Time? Just curious.
@@ateszonnebeld1069 NOT A CHANCE - most stations won't play it here because it is too long.
@@reallymysterious4393 I miss your point, why do you say not a chance? Does it mean you like Smoke on the water better or do you think that I should not request Child in time?
@@reallymysterious4393 and remenber, I'm Dutch, so this is not my native language.
@@ateszonnebeld1069 Your English is good. I wasn't clear in my message. I meant that Radio Stations in North America don't play Child in Time because it is too long. I like Child in Time much better than Smoke on the Water. Father and Son reacted to Child in Time 4 months ago - here is the link ua-cam.com/video/17pBtb50FMo/v-deo.html
They have not reacted to Smoke on the Water yet. It might be because they both already know the song but it doesn't hurt to ask. By the way my family is German background and I visited Holland for 5 days on one of my many trips to Germany. We rented a home on the North Sea in Zaandvoort in 1995 or 1996.
Oh yeah, Black Sabbath got down like this!
I saw Black Sabbath at Newcastle City Hall in England in 1971 - very exciting band live and incredibly loud . . my ears were ringing all the way home.
Wow . Your adoration for the song is truly evident in your eyes watching the performance. 50 years old that tune.
"Faries Wear Boots" is a VERY GOOD example of the work that they did off of the Paranoid album. Back in the day, EVERYONE I knew had this album. (the production was AMAZING!).
We always played whole albums ❣️❣️❣️
Black Sabbath was the first rock band and they were 20 years ahead of their time absolute legends.
Okay. So there’s this band called “Mac Sabbath” who parody Black Sabbath, but they do it as McDonald’s/fast food characters. I’ve gone to see them once and was planning to see them again when the world turned upside down. The guy who does Ozzy is so great. He’s called Ronald Osborne, and does Ozzy as Ronald McDonald (pretty much without the copyright issues). Ozzy has seen them and apparently approves. My favorite of theirs is “Sweet Beef”, but here’s “Pair-A-Buns” for this one: ua-cam.com/video/p7kFfLRcHjU/v-deo.html You might get a chuckle. I love them, but I’m warped. 🤷🏼♀️
Black Sabbath always got down like this especially in their concerts, although I never went to their concerts at the time...my friend Ruben did and told me about the concerts. Ozzie is the lead singer.
If this doesn't get you moving you're dead.
Bro! Everything off this album is good ... Everything! 😛
Hell yeah
Birth of metal, 50 fkn yrs old, still powerful :)
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and Killing Yourself To Live are some of my favorites by them....
Amazing how you can understand Ozzie when he sings, but he’s almost unintelligible when he speaks lol...don’t know how Sharon ever knew what he was saying 🖖🏻🇨🇦
I was thinking the same thing watching this!
Yes! That's the first thing I thought!
I’m sure with time she learned.
I was privileged to go to black Sabbaths last ever concert in Birmingham (where they come from) almost 4 years ago.
Check out other songs ‘N.I.B’ ‘Snowblind’ ‘Sabbath bloody Sabbath’ ‘Changes’ ‘Planet canavan’ to start with.
I’d put Sabbath as one of the most influential and best bands of all time
That riff that kicks things off gets me going every time I hear the song.
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and Sabbra Cadabra from the Sabbath Bloody Sabbath album are some of my favourites from Black Sabbath.
This video was recorded at the Dutch TV-Show Toppop. I saw a documentary (in Dutch) about the tv show and the old host told that they were one of the first bands to preform and that the decor nearly fell down on them. At some point you see a man walking in the background, which was their manager, trying to get the decor back up/protecting it from falling over.
This whole album is 🔥🔥
This whole album is amazing! Every song is a classic hit!
Tony Iommi on guitar lost two fingertips in an industrial accident at age 17, then he created his own prosthetics with melted plastic and leather. For some time he used banjo strings and tuned his guitar down to a lower pitch so that the strings were easier to press down.
1 guitar 1 bass 1 drummer and Ozzy......I remember 1970..my mind was blown by this song.. I was 12
Seeing Geezer Butler surrounded by a big bush slapping away at that bass sends chills
The album "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" is often overlooked and yet it's a great album by any measure. It has a few songs that truly stand out...great lyrics and beautiful melodies.
50 years ago... a great album... I was 8 when this came out. At the time I really liked 'War Pigs' and Ozzy... what a talented insightful man... I can see why Sharon keeps forgiving him... lol...
I was 15 and the music was heavy ..... It still is .
This song turned 50 on Sept. 20th this year!
Such a classic in germany. When this masterpiece starts young and old people storming the dancefloor
Black Sabbath with Ozzy... woopie... welcome to my youth. DP, LZ, BS, BÖC, CCR, PF, ELP, FZ, UH... and Budgie 🤠
Ozzy is awesome, as well as the whole band.. Great song, great reaction Jay!
My very first cassettes that I’ve ever owned we’re AC/DC Back In Black, and Black Sabbath Paranoid. This brings back so many memories. 🙏❤️
It was about 02 I was 11 years old when my dad introduced me to Black Sabbath Paranoid and it blew my mind
Great band and album
The ones who technically started the genre known as Heavy Metal
You'll probably like "Changes", "Black Sabbath", "The Wizard" and "Supernault" from them
As you listen to more music, you're developing an ear. Black Sabbath has some skills. 🔥👍🎸
This song may have cut off early and had depressing lyrics but it showed how talented they are. Please continue to react to them. They are one of the best bands ever. React to Faeies Wear Boots. You will love that song. More, More, More!!!
Fully recognizable opening guitar solo to a classic Black Sabbath song
I would recommend checking out their song "Fairies Wear Boots", great song and the drumming is phenomenal
Classic Classic Classic!
Black Sabbath was one of the hardest rocking bands of all time. A lot of us are cracking up that you are surprised! Ozzy Osbourne in his prime...long before he became a drugged-out reality TV star! The song actually did come to a hard ending like that.
Not sure if this was brought up yet, but the guitarist Tony Iommi lost some of his fingertips during an accident at his job. He wore prosthetic fingertips which forced him to press down harder on the strings, creating his signature heavy sound.
Yes, Black Sabbath gets down like this.
Saw Black Sabbath in Brisbane Australia in 1973. Ozzy nearly fell of the stage as he was so messed up. Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler ended up doing most of the singing
I bought this album with my first wage I'm 65 now and still listen to it
Check out the live 1970 performance of "War Pigs" That was the day Heavy Metal was invented, Plus Bill Ward's drumming! Out of this world.
Cobbled together as an album filler at the 11th hour of recording for the album "War Pigs" the song was such a hit the album got renamed to Paranoid.
Such a unique sound, probably wouldn't have developed if not for the lead guitarist losing the tips of his fingers in a workplace accident.
Tony Iommi has said it was what created that darker sound which is so iconic.
A boyfriend introduced me to this band in the mid 70's, then I saw them in concert the next year
Glad you finally got back to this band. Would love to see you do some other bands in the heavy rock genre. Judas Priest, AC DC, Iron Maiden, Ozzy, Pantera, Metallica
Paranoid is also the title of the album and War Pigs is on that too!
I am so glad you found the live 1970 performance. Its a lot longer the video cut off. Ozzy Osbourne was so cute back then. War Pigs live 70s performance in Paris is mind blowing too.
My first album and turn table for Christmas i was 10
A LOT OF WORK for that little 4pc. Drum kit, and nothing else but a high-hat and ONE crash!!!
Edit: Also must remember that Tony Iommi, the guitarist cut the tips off of his fingers on his right hand. The hand he uses on his fretboard.
FAIRIES WEAR BOOTS. it's a must listen. The changes are so drastic you almost forget what song you were listening to. It is, in my opinion the very best Black Sabbath song there is to truly showcase each member of the band
What I always got caught on about this song was the gear shift guitar sound and the industrial vocals, always gets me, even now!
You're definitely hitting all the classics. Good job!
I enjoyed the reaction, they are the beginning of HEAVY METAL!! Notice the ominous/ gritty power chords- the mercury/ metallic sound of the electric guitar
I remember when that song came out. I was eleven years old but was a fan immediately. Love Black Sabbath.
The greatest song from the greatest album from the greatest band.
Jay, I love your reactions because we've all heard these songs so many times before and seeing your appreciation gives us a little of the chills we had at first. I love this old stuff but I love finding new stuff too. I wish you'd share or even sell your play list as you definitely get good music and although I don't agree that all new music is shit I've had my work cut out trawling through a load of generic, auto tune, blah, no hook, no melody no innovative same old same old to find the occasional gem. Please introduce us to what is likely to be considered classics in 20, 30, 40 or 50 years. There was crappy music before but we've separated the good from the bad and sent you the stuff that stood the test of time. Please, educate us on the vintage songs of the future. Best regards, London.🇬🇧♥️🇱🇷
This is considered, by many, to be the first heavy metal song.
Fabulous i loved this Album i played it every day for months after i bought it 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Ozzy was the star of Black Sabbath, when the band disbanded, Ozzy thought he was washed up, but then his wife Sharon came along and with her daddy's money, she helped Ozzy recreate himself, and his image. This is when the Great Ozzy Osbourne was created and the rest is history!!! I went to see Ozzy for the first time in concert at the Selland Arena in Fresno, CA. This was his "Diary of a Madman's" concert!! It was BadAss!!! Thanks for the upload Jay, great reaction!!!
There is a recent live version of this on YT which is amazing; Ozzy at 60 something and still blasting it
Wow! Great to hear this again. Music was so exciting back then.
That opening riff makes people of a certain age jump up and run to the dancefloor! Yes - some of us pensioners can still thrash around to this, like it's 1970 again!
Seriously, it's music like this which keeps us young.... and I'm so glad that the younger generation are discovering it and keeping it going.
Such a clean, lean, pure sound!
Oh man, you're in for a treat. Sabbath has some great tracks. I'd recommend Iron Man as one of the most iconic, but Jack The Stripper/Fairies Wear Boots is amazing.
Black Sabbath The Wizard, great blues feel👍
Brilliant song its timeless what a tune
This was a time when guys had to grind it out in the garage, making their bones, dusting it up in cheap bars to start, honing their craft - not 'manufactured by marketers'. As AC/DC sang 'its a long way to the top if you wanna rock 'n 'roll'. :)
I am old school I love this song black sabbath paranoid I love metal
Have you ever heard of Ozzie or the Ozzfest concerts, etc.?
Well, this is a young Ozzie Osbourne (he’s 70s now).
His family was also the center of a reality show some 15-20 years back or so - “The Osbourne’s”.
Already 15 years back? Pff.
My favorouite is Black Sabbath - Changes.... it's truly beautiful
I listening to these song when I am little boy! Is on the 8-track, yes? Yes!
Supernaught from Vol4 my favourite Sabbath tune
I don't know what s on your list...but there is a song by Fastball called 'The Way'...true story about an elderly couple that went on a weekend errand...a place they always drove to on Saturdays. Well ..car was found on the road...no couple...no clues..they just vanished. So this group was so entranced by it they wrote a song. I hear the family heard about it thanked them for keeping the parents memory alive in their music. Wish you play that one...please.. (batting eyelashes...)??
My older brother used to thrash this album (when my Dad wasn't home)
cannot believe you are only NOW reacting to this.
Sabbath are the Godfathers and the metal band by which all others must be judged.
so far,no one has topped them.
man sabbath are actually really groovy, please do more of them! you gained 1 sub bruh!
There's a reason he/they are legends. ✊🤘
Gotta wear your Cat Sabbath T-Shirt for this band!
imagine being a kid in 1970 and hearing this for the first time. The birth of heavy metal.
Just about every cut off the Black Sabbath Vol. 4 album is great!
What did you hear at 4:25?
"enjoy life"?
or
"end your life"?
There was big controversy about that line back when they didn't have the internet for quick checks on lyrics.
Enjoy life
Enjoy
"I tell you to enjoy life I wish I could but it's too late" context.. The next line is key.
I always heard enjoy. Now if paste everything else. It’s obvious it’s enjoy.
You may have heard it already, but "Iron Man" is a Black Sabbath tune. How about a reaction video to it?
💘 this song and u Jay.
