For reference, the old Hoverspeed Mountbatten class hovercraft that used to ply the English Channel crying like 250 passengers and 30 carshad a top speed of 83 knots and could cruise fully loaded at 60 knots. I rode one of the Jetfoils from Ostend to Folkestone back in 1986. Sweet machine.
The flying cat behind has less throttle than the jetfoil.These type of flying cat are in Greece as Flying cat 3-4 they can travel around 46 knots of full speed while the jetfoil can reach 42
That's a FBM TRICAT 45m with gas turbine. Maximum cruising speed can reach 52knots before. But when the fleet combined with Jetfoil, RPM reduced by company.
