Janet Jackson - When I Think Of You (TMC Retro Club Mix)

This song has always been one of my favourites, and I was only a kid when my sister used to blast the twelve inch vinyl on her record player. The original Jam & Lewis production is iconic and just so very silky smooth, and the Steve Hodge single mixes gave it just that bit of edge it needed. For my mix I stuck with the original vibe but I gave it a fresher, more updated sound. Don't be fooled, what you're hearing is NOT a restructure of the multitrack. I replayed / programmed all the instruments! I even sampled the mirage horns and marimbas and reprogrammed those. I did some clean up work on the original vocals as well, and added some organs and a heavier bass. Everything was produced from scratch. Hope you enjoy it.
