I would really advise you to check out Hizen's reaper build, i got the feeling it would change your view on its self buffing capabilities. You didn't show any footage of playing 1 so wasn't sure which build you were referring to. Condi reaper has a lot of boons and sustain, even power has a lot of sustain now because they changed 1 of the traits in reaper to heal you while in shroud. Not to mention the ease of use and how beginner friendly it is. I would have put it higher in the list. But i do respect your opinion.
Yeah, thanks for the tip; I have to be honest, I did refer to a build before they made the change with the healing in shroud! Big error on my part, sorry. That's why i put it way too low and I will clarify that in an upcoming open world reaper build! I am still experimenting if power or condi is better, let's see :)
Are your current solo dps benchmarks on golem and with food/utilities and cele gear? Also what are your benchmarks for the other classes not mentioned?
All of my builds that I have made video about used food/utilities and the mentioned gear in the video (not always celestial) and are refering to the golem bench, yes! I do not have all classes benched sadly :(
So, I started playing Untamed and the sustain/dmg ratio is insane. I don't know about A-tier (I know it's your list, no worries I listened to the explanation), since I can almost keep 20-24k sustained dmg in the overworld while basically having the best sustain is nuts. If you can play that class, you're basically invincible. I understand your point though. Like Lord Hizen said, it's definitely difficult to play. It has high apm and is very error prone. However, if you know how to play it, I would put it on the top tier of the S tier. Or at least next to Herald. Thanks for the list. Keep up the good content. I'd love to see a build from you where you talk about a class that could rival the sustain from Untamed. I like Lord Hizen but I'd love to see a build from you and not a build that you have from him if you know what I mean. I'm currently looking for something similiar as Untamed (not playtype wise) that might be difficult to learn but if you can do it, you'd be as strong as an Untamed in terms of dps and sustain ratio. If you would do it, thank you!
Hi, thanks for your feedback! Yes, I agree Untamed is very strong, and as I have mentioned in another comment, if I would rate the specs just from power level I would put it in S tier, but I also rated the ease of achieving it and that's harder on Untamed, putting it down a notch for me. Regarding the builds, I might have something coming up for you in the near future as I try to make more experimental own build creation videos in the very near future!
maybe i would put it in S tier just because of how overpowered Lick Wounds (Revive your pet at your location to revive you) is. and maybe your pet can also tank for u and probably u can use highest range weapons, but maybe loosing some stuff than.
Oh boy, I already see some pvp in the comments XD Gave a like! The only additional disclaimer I'd add is for the new players to look up lists tailored specifically for them, because I would not recommend unexp players choosing harb over reaper (unless they're really ready for it)😅 I main necro, so all 4 necro specs are very comfy for me to solo stuff with and survive^^ Funnily enough, I usually use condi only on scourge, the rest is using power gear. Soulbeast is also very nice both on condi/power set-ups.
I’d argue untamed would be S tier. With dual maces and hammer you can get good sustain and high damage. Especially with carnivore trait you can sustain well with dual maces/hammer + quickness buff. I’m not really sure why you didn’t list it has S tier because you said nothing bad about it. It has strong damage, sustain and interrupts + pet variety for any situation.
I agree that is extremely strong, but it is harder to play than any S tier build I would argue. So just because of this I did not put it there. For instance mech plays itself xD
maybe i would put it in S tier just because of how overpowered Lick Wounds (Revive your pet at your location to revive you) is. and maybe your pet can also tank for u and probably u can use highest range weapons, but maybe loosing some stuff than.
I would say A tier if you dont enjoy it, but not lower. You can check out my guide about it ( ua-cam.com/video/RWDldyN36jc/v-deo.html ) , I find it extremly easy to play that's why it is so high. And it has great boon access!
its rly rly rly rly good. i tried it out myself and even when farming HP it was insanely crazy. was suprised how good it is :> but u wanna go condi its overall better for OW stuff.
yes, if anything it should be in its own S+++ tier. A cele condi mech can go full ranged with duel pistols, or even shortbow if you want ultimate safety (hit both you and mech with arrow aoes for max buffs). you also have an unkillable tank pet, if you glide even for a split second, the mech gets resummoned for free with no cooldown, at full health....and if you want to farm lots of smaller mobs, spear is great for aoe and speeding between mobs.
i dont really play the other classes as I most just play the story mode on my main. So its nice to hear about what the other classes can do. after recently unlocking spear on my elementalist. Ive just been playing catalyst spear. Not sure how it works but the jade spheres immediately lvl up the spear 5 etchings so its really easy high aoe damage. And due to having 4 jade spheres and 4 etchings (1 per element) you can basically just spam that 1 combo haha. And then just summon a couple glyph elementals to tank for you. Really fun and what I thought staff ele would be like back in the day.
most solo builds are built to take on big dangerous enemies, so condi builds get most value from cele stats which nearly all such builds use. Fast farming builds that speed clear lots of smaller mobs are usually power.
Yeah, I was mostly thinking about condi, because it is way tankier, but I think for not to hard hitting fights power might still work. Maybe I can come up with a decent build video in the future ;)
@ I run 3 equipment sets on my rev, Harrier for QHerald, Berzerker for QDps Herald and Vindicator and Ritualist for WvW Alac Renegade. I haven’t tried Condi Herald.
In the open world, Untamed is much better than Soulbeast, mainly because you are not as dependant on Axe5 to deal damage and you can burst every 5 seconds. On most mobs the Soulbeast burst is overkill and then you're standing there with your mediocre sandbag rotation. Untamed can also let the pet tank for you and has a combo field. Your elite skill is free as well as most of your utility, you can easily pick 3 stunbreaks if you want to. Another bonus is that 90% of what you do is AoE. The cleave is massive which is really nice.
Yes, Untamed is really good! I however also rated the easiness to get into the build and I find Untamed quite a bit harder to learn, so that's why I put it a bit lower. But it's just my opinion :)
