I live in the US now and didn’t fish for years but I started up again. The fishing is very different and Americans consider Shiners( roach), suckers(barbel-ish), River Redhorse (big barbel) carp and fallfish(chub) as trash fish and most laugh at the pole and seat box. That is until you give ‘em a go with a ten pound carp! The best thing is that you have to figure out all of the methods for different venues.
Still, I miss the canals and rivers oh, and bream. ( the three canal bream video aretops) but what can you do?
Thanks James for the awesome fishing and lack of commercials plus the inspiration to get back out. Peace
The reason I really like this video is that it is about the craft, not the kit. Tackle lying around, nothing particularly neat, not with everything being branded, just craft, time and motion. Allied to simple explanations - beautiful. And bare feet - can't get better than that.
James, I'm sure you must be fed up with people such as I who constantly praise you but to be honest it is your fault. You explain things so clearly without going over the top like many others. What you and Cadence are doing is a breath of fresh air for our beloved fishing so once again I have to say great video mate and you and Cadence keep it up. Tight lines my friend.
E Miff I'm sure James won't mind me replying to you on his behalf. We certainly DONT get fed up with praise😋 all the best, Chappy
These videos just get better and better,l don't know how you can improve on them James explains it so well and the quality of the filming second to none.well done everybody you should be really proud of what your achieving.
keith clayton thanks Keith. I'll keep whipping James so he maintains the standard 🤣 Chappy
Absolutely love these videos. The tackles pretty special too. Keep up the good work
well done again James - your love for our sport just oozes out of this feature - simple explanations, just a joy to watch. presentation of the piece so natural, as if we are on the bank with you - fantastic. More please.
More great, professional, well presented, informative videos. Keep up the good work.
I love hemp fishing on the pole on my local river the Suffolk Stour at Bures, great tips thanks. Hi James/Chappy really enjoyed the fishing and photography in this video. I'm getting sad, I look forward to watching these weekly as much as my wife loves Poldark!
barry sutton spread the word Baz
James, your vids are simply the best
Malcolm Taylor Cheers
Cracking stretch of the Warwickshire Avon
Wow! What a video! Its joy to watch. Thank you.
Love it! Best fishing in the world!!!
Excellent as always.
A brilliant video on the art of hemp fishing, wow that Cadence CP2000 pole looks the business. I’ve gotta try it.
Steven Chatfield cheers
Awsome net full great bit of kit as well
Jamies up there with the best great explaining
Wonderful film chaps, so well explained and excellent fishing. Keep them coming!
Brilliant James love it on canals too fun sport
Magnifique ! I didn't know hemp fishing for roach was popular in the UK. It used to be in France too where I fish but tends to be less frequent may be because it is rather technical in comparison with other baits. Anyway your video is brilliant in spite of naughty Avon pikes ! ;-) Merci for this nice programme.
Excellent
Keep up the great works guys.
All the best,
Jimmy Willis
The camera work and editing plus the presentation make for excellent videos , well done to you both. Obviously the main praise goes too Chapoy, COYWM
oggybwfc1 cheers, but without James and his angling and presentation skills we wouldn't have a video, so it's 50/50.😀
Cadence Fishing UK I will go 55/45 due too you supporting the superwhites, we need to win something.
oggybwfc1 😂
I watch Cadence fishing regular and I think James is a natural in front of the camera.
Keith, you are quite right. I could watch James/Cadence video's all day every day. Tight lines
Great stuff , the new pole looks awesome . Is there a waiting time or are they available ?
Hi Keith, we have the poles in stock. Best if folks contact me directly for more details: jcrobbins@cadencefishing.com
Great video James as always and Ian I love some of the slow motion shots. A very nice net of roach on a traditional bait and method and not a carp in sight!! Some people might not think it’s an old method but I understand Belgium refugees brought it over in about 1916 and apparently they used the pole, albeit a hollow cane one. Apparently the locals were astounded by their catches on this method and bait on the Thames! Looking forward to your next quality video guys. Tight Lines
cheers. Bad news tho'...slow mo camera is broken!
Cadence Fishing UK I’m sorry to hear that! I assumed it was done in the editor, shows how little I know! Still looking forward to the next video with or without slow motion because the quality will be great. Tight Lines
Easy Fishing not exactly. slow Mo can be shot at 50p then slowed down in post production, or it can be shot at 120fps in camera. The particular camera I use allows me to do both, going to need repairing.
A brilliant video!
great video as always, good tips especially the old pop bottle and the hooking method (just put a needle in my box) I use hemp but normally only for loose feed, that may change now. I notice you too use yellow tips, since coming back to fishing I've found that my best colour but it's cost me a bloody fortune to change all my floats over. I leave my Lab at home when it's this hot too, he's a black!
Just brilliant, just brilliant
Keith Scott thanks
my God once again outstanding love it
Brian Boczko cheers Brian
Must try hemp... Thx!
JAMES for prime minister ......great video great looking pole......
Phil Hunt minister for angling maybe🤔
Cadence Fishing UK I hope so
Your terrific James. Would you consider using tares on the hook in conjunction with hemp? I find them easier to hook although harder to prepare, just got to cook em carefully. And where was Monty, hope he's ok. Andy James
Hi Andy, yes I often use tares in conjunction with hemp. I tried them this day but hemp worked better. Monty stayed at home as the forecast was for another scorcher, was worried about him in the heat! Cheers James
Awesome video 👌🏻please could you tell me who makes the floats and the pattern please as they look superb?
Hi Phil, Paul Power made them for me. Please send me an email and I'll share his contact details jcrobbins@cadencefishing.com
Great video but what did you use to pierce the hemp with?
John Buck Hi John, normally use the Preston tool that comes with the quick stops.
Just down from sausage island
Where's Monty? He's the only reason why I watch these god awful videos.........................Kidding!
poodle559 with his mummy 🤣
Love this. Love it that he's fishing barefoot and wearing a decent sun hat. James, you're a legend! Have to say though I was disappointed with the pork pie. Where was the brown sauce? Being serious, do you use barbed or barbless hooks?
James likes to fish in the RAW!!! LOL. I thinks he would tell you it's micro barbed hooks all the way with hempseed. Not sure he needs any more pies tho :) Cheers
As below… best films….
👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍
I just use Tares on the hook. Much easier
Good vid. But why that irritating music? Surely the sound of the fish splashing the birds singing etc is far more enjoyable.
This query has been answered before Andrew. The music is integral to the edit in our view. To try and record 'birds singing and fish splashing' as you suggest is not as easy as you may imagine without gathering unwanted speaking or other external noises such as passing aircraft, tractors, road noise etc. When you see something on TV, mostly there is a sound track which has been recorded separately in a quiet woodland or similar. We don't have the budget to do such things. Music is there to inject mood, pace and a general relaxed feelings into the video. That you find it irritating is more a reflection on your taste (or lack of?), I argue this point simply because over 32 thousand people have viewed the video and no-one has complained about the music? Music will remain in Cadence videos! Cheers.
@@cadencefishinguk sorry i think you miss my point.. Just leave the music out. Fishing is about fishing and all the noises that go with it . nobody wants to here generic crappy musak . the pike for instance had its splashes drowned out by it. No need for the cheesey musak. The traffic/planes voices are all natural noises that are there. The musak is added unnaturally
@@andrewcunnington4273 we'll have to agree to differ Andrew. music will always be a part of Cadence videos. cheers
