Well maybe back in 2016 we werent getting any rs 650 here in usa. But we get all.the models now. Have ridden 3 650 rs and a couple Superduals. Quite common over here now. Several clubs started for the owners. Not as common as japan bikes. But about 15 I live like 15 miles from an SWM dealer. Times are changing and we like the old H usky motor
Ive had my RS for 3years now and have struggled with the short shifter whilst wearing boots:-size 15, So much so that I cannot wear wear them on this bike. You mentioned the superdual shifter is longer? I can only find reference to one part number for the shifter which is the same for both the Rs and Sd. Any info you have would be greatly appreciated.
Sold mine after 20,000km , and pretty much flogged it on the bush most of the time . Only had one ☝️ major issue a cooked rectifier ( due to a wire shorting out ) a problem that has been EXTREMELY rare . A few small issues, no more than any other bike . Had mine for 5 years . The RS 650 are basically the same same as the old Husky TE630 from 2009 - 11 , and SWM basically got the rights to build the same bike after KTM brought Husky . So the engine has been around 10 years and a proven motor . AJP PR7 users their engine and so does the British company CCM . So must be good 👍
Yes 👍 you guys don’t get the RS 650 , if you what light the 500 with a Safari tank and the Superdual 21/18 rims ( they pretty much go straight on and you end up with a rear Cush drive ( that’s if you what a light weight ADV bike .
@@itsallabouttheridekeepingi4449 I think the light 500 would be good, but the 650 comes with more luggage carry racks and panniers if you order them. Thanks for reply, way downunder Mate
@@itsallabouttheridekeepingi4449 ok probably fine then i don't need that much junk to trunk around. Theres still a few wr 250rs floating around and we have honda 650l. Been debating all these bikes.
So you need change the bearings to put the SD cush wheel on the RS?
Thanks

So the RS650 does not have cush drive from factory? Was thinking of getting one for regular commute and the 1500km adventure ride here and there
No does not come with Cush drive the RS , but can put superdual rims on with Cush drive
What are the thoughts about the bike now? Reliability etc?

Ahhh yes, I’ll grab the wheels off my superdual and put them on my rs because everyone buys bikes in pairs -.-
