I turned in 10 Abyssal Essences. Got a couple blue items, white items, and some gold. Was absolutely not worth the effort, and only got one rune during all those runs. I then did 6 elder rifts and got two runes from those. I thought these new modes were supposed to be the best way the get runes....
Verge is only good for bestiary farm and essence farm. More than that it not good for anything....just doing elder rift is better way to farm rune...and combine 3 them to form the blue rune....i got only one rune drop from 20 runs of verge.
As someone mentioned above, Accursed Tower is definitely the best place to get some runes... Elite mobs left and right, more efficient and palpable results
Get in a party with at least one player and run Tower(s).. 15 min run gave me 10-12 runes. Also, the Abyssal Verge is GREAT way to get legendaries.. basicly one 2 min run gives you guaranteed 1-3 lege items, this is super important especially when trying to build up your essence bars to rank 4 or finding newest essences. ;)
I have collected 7 runes so far and I have not played the Abyssal or Castle but 1 time each. I have gotten my drops from routine mob killing during daily bounties.
10 elder rift runs: 2-3 runes 10 runs abyssal and erebban each: ZERO runes You really need to set your partner program under fire to let them adjust this issue. Otherwise its dead on arrival content 🤷♂️
Ye. Not 100% guarantee. Did 15 portals yesterday and no rune. Exchanged 10 horns and didn't get rune either. Went to dungeons and got 1 after 3 runs. Thous idiots from netshity fucked up again with drop rate just like in terror rifts and oblivion pillars.
I don't think I've seen 1 blue rune in accursed. probably picked up around 130 since they added them. So say its the (20). We really going to farm like 530,441 of them so we can have a yellow? I did get 4 of my blue runes from inf1 dngs and the other 2.. well i wont lie, the market for 1500 and 3000. :) People I know with yellow runes got them from inf2. Needless to say, I wouldn't put a lot into them right now. 400 is around the corner and they should become very common for us then (knock on wood).
The new dungeons for runes are crap. All my runes are from dungeons or openwrold farming 😂. They need to fix the drop rate on those rune dungeons. 30 Abyssal verge for me amd got squat. No thanks.

Atm new modes drop rate is crap for runes. It will need to get fixed. Just how terror rifts were crap at launch.

Accused Towers are the best way to get them.
That build you've worked on for the last year is just perfect for this mode. I don't get near that many kills.
Quick tip: 10 abyssal runs is much harder than running elder rifts. Fast and easy

No rune drops but i get good amount of leg items. Usually 2 per run

I think runes become available at para 20, not sure on the lvl required to go into them, would imagine it's any lvl

You need to start a new quick quest first. Then you get these portals. Rayek, is the one that will give quest.
I did my 20 normal rifts for hero journey and I got 4 runes from all 20 runs
I got all my runes in the Dungeon in less than 2 hours... ❤
Erebban was dropping 2 fragments for me. Quicker than the abyss (for me)

Runes are a complete waste of time. The bonuses are so small that are after they are strifed, basically worth nothing. Not worth wasting time on

I can tell you that one of the ways to get runes is doing hidden lairs, I was able to get two runes from doing just a few lairs.
