Seeing your re-progress is absolutely insane. To imagine getting to 95% in such a short period of time and the week to week improvements had to motivation to keep pushing yourself. Awesome stuff. Keep it up brother. As always amazing edit.
As someone that has a horrendous injury record, I'm praying that this comeback will propel you to greater heights. Nothing more frustrating than not being able to sprint . You got this brother !
You will be better than before. Every setback does this for a guy like yourself, gives you time to focus on other things neglected previously. This is a crazy comeback story
Nice point of view on obstackles. Now I am watching many weeks of your rehab journey in few minutes, seems easy now. But I have no idea how much effort you put in it. I went through smaller breaks, e.g. few days or 1 week out of training. Even though I do 3k, 5k instead of sprints you are my inspiritaion in attitude to obstackles . Thank you for this content and I wish you good luck on your journey.
Amazing Mat! A lot of very sound principle on your road to recovery. Diagnose. Protect. Work around the injury. Progressive loading. Single leg work. Innovate (ice bath, runing shoes). Patience. Thank you for sharing. Question: How did you mentally deal with the injury ,setback during rehab or recurrent pain? Did you need support?
Your dedication is awe inspiring. Extremely diligent, even through the face of adversity. The videos are very well made, thanks for sharing the journey with us.
Watching him go through adversity and explain his thoughts and plan is helping me get through my hamstring strain and gives me ideas on exercises to try out, thank your for the content🙏🏽
great to see, hopefully when you get full elasticity back in your left calf, you will be hitting some even better times. Great improvement with those nordics
Hi Mathias, I hope you’re getting stronger and stronger. I would like to share some of my thoughts with you about your running technique. I think that you need to work your relaxation. Sometimes you have a very nice and long stride while being relaxed, but in block starts and in the first 10-20 meters I think that you are not relaxed and your stride is quite short cause of that. You know better of course, but I would like to help you by giving some piece of advice even if it is not correct😅.
Great to see you healthy! Do you feel adding weight to ur ankles for block starts or even longer sprints helps, now that you’ve been using it for some time?
Thanks! Those are ankle warmers, no extra weight. Just feel like going sock-less in spikes, but dont want to get calf cramps which I've gotten when I'm cold before.
How often to run after injury? I have some ankle and hip pain limiting me fir reaching to speed. I wonder how often per week I should do 50% runs as a starting point for building up to more intense sprints.
Hey man, would you be able to recommend any shoes for sprint training (outside of spikes). With the way a lot of running shoes are moving lately, it's a bit harder to find a good sprint trainer.
You should try to avoid use of corticosteroids if there is nonsteroidal ways (and/or other also) to reduce inflammation. Their use may cause some possible side effects in future which is unacceptable or may be too (more) harmful for an athlete. One and most harmful - is raising risks of ligament or tendon rapture in future. If there is choice between to not compete or compete with pain and inflammation but "on injections" or to reduce inflammation faster then with nonsteroid drugs...better think twice. All the best to you and new records in future.
Thanks! I've been lectured on the side effects, hence only doing one injection. It seemed worth it to get to the point of being able to walk, as the prognosis could be up to 6 months. I'm making sure to not get any more than absolutely necessary, after Its just been NSAIDS. Thanks 🙏
You are a really good trainer even with rehab. But do give your body a break. Take a rest day every week for the next 3 months. Rest is part of training and health. Good to see you getting healthier.
Those nordics are wild! Keep pushing Mathias you got this king
Impressive , your dedication to the process . Very inspirational for anyone with an injury not to wallow in self pity but to continue fighting !! 💪🙌

Wonderful effort throughout your re-hab ! So good to see you letting some power out on the track again :)

Pleased to see your recovery! In the process your lucky to have Adidas SP2's .... Impossible to buy in the UK 😭
amazing
Hello bro
Glad you are recovering well
And a question
Which Puma nitro shoe would you recommend for tempos and plyos and little bit of sprints?
Top 👏🏻
Good luck , i miss watching your videos,
How often to run after injury? I have some ankle and hip pain limiting me fir reaching to speed. I wonder how often per week I should do 50% runs as a starting point for building up to more intense sprints.
Hey man, would you be able to recommend any shoes for sprint training (outside of spikes). With the way a lot of running shoes are moving lately, it's a bit harder to find a good sprint trainer.
What is the indoor track made out of? It looks shiny so I'm wondering if ur spikes get flattened
Hello, what is your height and weight? And with what weight are you fast?
Nice rehab, were you using ankleweights while sprinting in week 6? If so what is the idea behind it
It's actually ankle warmers hehe.
I like going sock-less in the spikes, but I don't like getting cold Achilles/ankles, trying to avoid muscle cramps
Hey Mathias, wanted to ask what are those adidas spikes and how are they? Are they keep up with nike's or no?
😀 Finally 😀😎 borther 😎 is 🤗 back 😀 yeeeeeeeee 🤗 .... I'm from India 🇮🇳 bro
Do you change your weight traning exercise every week ?
Can’t wait for my vlog to reach that level… 5ep un and still hungrier. Got vid btw
Mathias, were you prescribed an antibiotic for your bacterial infection?
Yeah, for the food poisoning, for the leg inflammation I've used NSAIDS.
@@hovejoha Was it a fluoroquinolone antibiotic, such as Ciprofloxin? Those antibiotics can damage tendons!
Mathias I'm wondering if you can still backflip. Can you?
Do you like the adidas sp2 prime more or the maxflys?
Don't know.
I feel like the Sp2 is more responsive, Maxlfys are more bouncy
I see you in the SP2... Which one are better for 200 meter between Superflys, maxflys and SP2?
I don't know.
Currently running similar times in both of them, like them both.
13:45 ))
Hva er navnet på gymmet du trener på? Ser ut som de har mye bra utstyr der
What spikes are you using?
Adidas SP2, Nike Maxfly, And Nike Superfly 2 in this video
What do you think of the SP2
I like them
What is your all time personal best in the 400m?
I've been timed at 50.50s in the first leg of a 4x4 in 2019, but my official PB is 51,64 from 7-8 years ago
GOOD
Wow, that was a very strange injury. What was the root cause?
Food poisoning was the root of an immune system overreaction, likely induced by the HLA-B27 gene.

Lower back is op
🙏💪
Have you ever had a problem with your knees or hips ?
With spikes is better adidas or nike
You are a really good trainer even with rehab. But do give your body a break. Take a rest day every week for the next 3 months. Rest is part of training and health. Good to see you getting healthier.
Thanks, I've almost every Sunday since I started athletics ;)
