Snipers are stupid as hell in cod. They slowed the ttk down but snipers can still one shot? Keep the slow ads time AND add a ton of flinch. Fuck 'em, they need the nerf. I just feel like I'm cheesing when I snipe, totally ruins the balance of the weapons.
Tactical Rifles require multiple (3, 2 with headshots) shots to kill, and the AUG and M16 require 2 bursts outside of point blank. They're fine. The reasons the snipers nees flinch is their statisically instant time to kill provided the shot is fired, tac rifles still take about 150-250 ms to secure a kill

You can STILL run around hipfiring with these things getting 1-2 shots. The new sniper which has a very small one shot kill range and target but trades for a fast rate of fire, does not need flinch as much. That giant NZW or whatever its called doesn't need any flinch being the most accurate sniper in game but has the slowest ADS time. If they decide to give the M82 a lot of flinch - which would make sense, they at least better give it a huge buff and make it a one shot kill from the legs up at medium to long range.

Make it a incredibly skillful sniper to use, but reward players that use it with a generous one shot kill range even on armored targets. As well buff vehicle damage without the need of the vehicle penetration barrel. The thing shouldn't be incredibly easy to use - but still shouldn't be a hit marker machine. Its better at close to medium range now, its a bit better in zombies, but I hate the fact you can still get a hitmarker on the chest / stomach area at long range. When a 50. Cal would turn your body into a scrunchy. Treyarch clearly forgot about the PTS from World at War as well that classified sniper from Black Ops 1, insane amount of recoil, super slow ADS - but were one shots at any range and you could visibly see your enemies turn into dust when shot at. Not to mention the PTS in World at War could blow up tanks in a few shots without perks.
The snipers feel more powerful this year then last year. Nearly every game I play will have at least half the lobby duel wielding diamond snipers. It’s annoying as hell mate

Ace mentioned it on stream yesterday but I have no problem with getting sniped by a traditional sniper locking a lane or a line or sight, but it is frustrating when you're locking a line of sight/ lane and a sniper appears and you still lose the fight even though your shots hit first. The suggestion would definitely help with this situation.
@@Deno_7_ You can't kill any faster than an ostentatious OHK to the torso, like snipers do. You also can't "make them miss" any more than you already are if you're riddling them with bullets. Without flinch, there's not much you can do to counter.
I know the ADS times are at the slowest they've been but I still get quickscoped to oblivion on the daily. It's a really jarring experience whether I'm getting the first shot off or not.

Snipers shouldn't have aim assist. There's your problem. EDIT: The problem isn't good players sniping effectively. The problem is bad players sniping effectively because sniping is too easy. If sniping is skill based, the sniping issue solves itself. Good players should still be rewarded, bad players should not.

What I want is a rework for the attachments on snipers, I want to see the ultralight barrels, instead of strafe speed, to be ads speed and stocks can also add ads
Talking about the airborn elastic wrap being changed actually made me think of a possible universal grip that would be perfect for this tradeoff. A stability grip that would provide that flinch resistance and maybe an idle sway reduction or a recoil reduction at the cost of ads speed and aim walking speed. If it were universal then ARs, LMGs, and tac rifles might find it useful too for more hanging back builds
I feel like they should keep the base ads speed for snipers the same but change the rear grips bonuses to the bonuses that every other weapon has. IIRC, the rear grips only give you 5,8,10,12% faster ads speed and every other weapon gets 10,15,25,30%. I think it would make sense to do this because the attachments on the snipers that hurt ads speed give to much of a penalty to it without having a rear grip that gives enough of a bonus to compensate. I agree with what you said about flinch though.
So what are you gonna complain about when you get stomped on without it, aim assist isn’t even that important to snipers it’s a backup situation, after centering, timing, and positioning what are you gonna moan about after it’s gone?
The problem with this is crossplay and native M&KB support so M&KB snipers would then be way better than controller snipers. I loved the no aim assist snipers in BO4 but that was because M&KB players weren't playing with controller players.

As a quickscoper, snipers should get a little flinch, but also much more ads speed. Also, as frustrating as it may be, it takes soooo much more skill to hit the one shot that you have in the upper chest rather than brain dead holding down the right trigger. Reg gunners are trash, quickscopers actually have skill
Quickscoping is painfully easy in Cold War once you get all of the attachments unlocked. I only ever dabble with quickscoping but in Cold War I can streak up and get kills way too consistently while quickscoping considering the fact that I don't even do it or practice it on a regular basis. All is takes is half decent centering.
@Sebastian Tyler My suggestion would provide much more counterplay. Currently whenever I quickscope, it doesn't matter at all that people are pumping shots into me as long as I get my 1 shot off. With my proposed change, I'd be losing most of those fights where people are shooting me first but if I manage to get the jump on them and hit them before they can hit me, that's a much more skill based approach with proper counterplay built in.

Doesn’t matter if they have flinch or not. If ur not that good at centering. And if u don’t aim high enough. Ur gonna. 1 miss. 2. Get a hitmarker. So the no flinch. Really isn’t a problem at all. Especially when every weapon in the game can kill you 2-3 times before you can fully ads with a sniper. And some of them barely halfway ads.

In an equal situation where both players react at the same time and have perfect aim, the average time for an AR to ADS and Kill is 630ms within their max damage range. Without attachments, the Pelington does the same in 550ms and the Tundra is 650ms and with the handle that all quickscopers use, the times are 484ms and 582ms respectively. So when a sniper and an AR player face each other and react at the same time with perfect aim, the Sniper will win.

Also a change to the swiss and zrg overall, the swiss without the last barrel is literally unusable and the zrg rechamber is so slow that I can ads 2-3 times before I can fire one more bullet
I just want better ADS movement speeds on ARs, at least on the shorter range ones, the XM4, FFAR, and Groza. If they can have good ADS movement speeds in Warzone, it should be the same in Cold War. Right now they all just seem pointless to use except the Krig 6.

Standoff is my favorite map of all CoDs, super hyped to see it back. All I play is S&D and the map just seems to have great balance for that mode. It’s sort of a three-lane design but has just the right amount of side-routes that you can maneuver the map without being shot from everywhere. Broken Wall, Butcher/Yellow or the Back Alley Wall that you can mantle to go Mid Map.
Modern warfare has the same issue no flinch at all on snipers. I constantly hit snipers with 2 or 3 bullets only to die to the kar98 or SPR. All guns should have flinch period
AMP63 (PM63) can also be regarded as an SMG as it checks most boxes that other SMS check, like for example the Scorpion or Milano/Mac etc. It was in the SMG category in the original Black Ops so I don't understand why they would need to make it an "Automatic Pistol" now since it uses the same ammunition type.
Be great if they did an Arnold character with different film skins like Dutch from predator, Ben Richards from the running man, terminator and jingle all the way....

True game data shows inconsistent data on under barrels for ARs could you cover that please? Specifically, does bruiser grip help with AR movement speed? TrueGame data says no but infiltrator grip has +movement. I cant feel the difference with either.
Hopefully, they fix the graphical issues with the series x because in the multiplayer and zombies screen if you switch over to the other tabs let's say "Weapons" then back to the main one where the operators are walking, the operator and the snowy environment are very low textured and don't go back to the high res ones.

Idont kno if anyone has been experiencing this but I've been in multiple matches in a row where my mini map won't show up on core game modes and it doesn't go away until I restart my game and also some matches I feel like my shots aren't registering properly or like I'm missing bullets but I know I'm not I have good gunskill and some matches it feels normal
I'm no balance expert but I had to the idea of giving snipers AR level handling speeds, maybe a bit slower by a frame or 2 (or not whatever works) but give them ZRG level rate-of-fire. They'll be less clunky, maintain the same lethality, but slow their pace. Though, I guess this is more of a hit to obtaining streaks. I'm 50/50 on giving snipers flinch. I don't know, it was just a thought.

Hi, I know it is not about this video: but I have a question for the team: Is it possible that when you use a weapon that was dropped by another player in multiplayer: you level up much faster and unlock skins also much faster? It looks to me that each time I use a weapon that I take from an opponent: I win a new skin or attachment without complying the missing objectives due to unlock them. And it could be very interesting especially in "cold war" where it takes so much time to unlock skins and attachments. Does someone has had the same impression and could our specialist ExclusivAce verify it with figures and facts?
Modern Warfare has like 40 pistols and it’s taken like 5 months for Cold War to get a 4th. Absolutely ridiculous. I like this game, but the content just isn’t there and it’s getting pretty boring to play.
I want the snipers to switch over to the Modern warfare style. I can snipe decent in MW, but I cant hit a damn thing with snipers on Cold war. It's just so weird.
Honestly, I’m from console and MW has way more forgiving aim assist. Like I can control recoil better when I’m aiming at a player and have decent aim after prolonged periods of not playing MW. I’m also experiencing your issues but I find the general speed of the snipers to be the corporate. For example the new Swiss K is better feeling that all the snipers just because of its handling.
Whatever change is made to snipers, i would like to see a change that makes it so most of the attachments aren't completely useless when fully leveled up. There's almost no point in not using the airborne elastic wrap or tiger team barrel.
I want to see flinch increases for snipers. I don't think your idea on having to choose between no flinch and a fast ads would work because people in snd would choose the flinch and the mode will therefore stay unplayable.
LMGs got nerfed hard last patch. They have the same damage range as the ARs so what’s the point ? Plus the RPD only has 50 rounds in a magazine. No high capacity and no range. Is it really an LMG then ?
I hope the adjustments to snipers make more of them more viable, currently it's pretty much just Kar and the occasional HDR, I really hope they don't add in more scope sway, I find scope sway super irritating when it's prominent.

They should completely remove flinch resistance for snipers tbh. Flinch doesn’t really affect quick scoping so separating flinch resistance and ads speed is useless and just buffs hard scoping.
Adding flinch and speeding up snipers would just put them back in the same pocket they've been in for the past decade, which people have never stopped complaining about. The snipers are so different this year specifically because of how notoriously polarizing they've been in the past. I don't think the current balance is perfect, but drifting back towards the old balance approach isn't really a solution. I would be interested to see damage and flinch ramps as you stay in scope longer, or perhaps flinch is enabled while you're holding your breath or something. That means that if you want to sit in-scope and hold an angle, your shots will be powerful (waist-up OSK), but you'll also be susceptible to flinch, which is the main reason why they're a problem in SnD and why they've been GA'd in the comp scene. That would then leave quickscoping in a similar state to how it is now (low/no flinch, slow ADS), but the power would be somewhat reduced, so the accuracy demands would be increased even further for that playstyle (probably something like base power Tundra [no Tiger Team Barrel] would be the hardest-hitting QS shot).
I want a dragunve buff badly. Keep everything as is except allow 1 shot headshots up to 150m. It has the power to be competitive at closer ranges but can’t compete ate longer ranges.

I'm guessing the auto pistol will drop with a 50 round mag or something like the sykov so it will immediately become the meta weapon with an akimbo blueprint available in the store to con people into buying it. What I want is a rework for the attachments on snipers, I want to see the ultralight barrels, instead of strafe speed, to be ads speed and stocks can also add ads
Talking about the airborn elastic wrap being changed actually made me think of a possible universal grip that would be perfect for this tradeoff. A stability grip that would provide that flinch resistance and maybe an idle sway reduction or a recoil reduction at the cost of ads speed and aim walking speed. If it were universal then ARs, LMGs, and tac rifles might find it useful too for more hanging back builds
I feel like they should keep the base ads speed for snipers the same but change the rear grips bonuses to the bonuses that every other weapon has. IIRC, the rear grips only give you 5,8,10,12% faster ads speed and every other weapon gets 10,15,25,30%. I think it would make sense to do this because the attachments on the snipers that hurt ads speed give to much of a penalty to it without having a rear grip that gives enough of a bonus to compensate. I agree with what you said about flinch though.

I think no, it's more traditional battle-royale like blackout where you need to scavenge the weapons, attachments etc

So what are you gonna complain about when you get stomped on without it, aim assist isn’t even that important to snipers it’s a backup situation, after centering, timing, and positioning what are you gonna moan about after it’s gone?
The problem with this is crossplay and native M&KB support so M&KB snipers would then be way better than controller snipers. I loved the no aim assist snipers in BO4 but that was because M&KB players weren't playing with controller players.

I don't snipe, but getting downed out of no where 200+ meters away or 50 meters away there's no way to spot them.
As a quickscoper, snipers should get a little flinch, but also much more ads speed. Also, as frustrating as it may be, it takes soooo much more skill to hit the one shot that you have in the upper chest rather than brain dead holding down the right trigger. Reg gunners are trash, quickscopers actually have skill

Quickscoping is painfully easy in Cold War once you get all of the attachments unlocked. I only ever dabble with quickscoping but in Cold War I can streak up and get kills way too consistently while quickscoping considering the fact that I don't even do it or practice it on a regular basis. All is takes is half decent centering.

@Sebastian Tyler My suggestion would provide much more counterplay. Currently whenever I quickscope, it doesn't matter at all that people are pumping shots into me as long as I get my 1 shot off. With my proposed change, I'd be losing most of those fights where people are shooting me first but if I manage to get the jump on them and hit them before they can hit me, that's a much more skill based approach with proper counterplay built in.

Doesn’t matter if they have flinch or not. If ur not that good at centering. And if u don’t aim high enough. Ur gonna. 1 miss. 2. Get a hitmarker. So the no flinch. Really isn’t a problem at all. Especially when every weapon in the game can kill you 2-3 times before you can fully ads with a sniper. And some of them barely halfway ads.
Flinch is absolutely an issue, you can hit someone 4-5 times and their aim will barely move at all.

In an equal situation where both players react at the same time and have perfect aim, the average time for an AR to ADS and Kill is 630ms within their max damage range. Without attachments, the Pelington does the same in 550ms and the Tundra is 650ms and with the handle that all quickscopers use, the times are 484ms and 582ms respectively. So when a sniper and an AR player face each other and react at the same time with perfect aim, the Sniper will win.

Also a change to the swiss and zrg overall, the swiss without the last barrel is literally unusable and the zrg rechamber is so slow that I can ads 2-3 times before I can fire one more bullet
I just want better ADS movement speeds on ARs, at least on the shorter range ones, the XM4, FFAR, and Groza. If they can have good ADS movement speeds in Warzone, it should be the same in Cold War. Right now they all just seem pointless to use except the Krig 6.

I personally think snipers are underpowered and need a big ads buff along with a decent flinch nerf and adjustment to the grips that help with flinch
Standoff is my favorite map of all CoDs, super hyped to see it back.
All I play is S&D and the map just seems to have great balance for that mode.
It’s sort of a three-lane design but has just the right amount of side-routes that you can maneuver the map without being shot from everywhere.
Broken Wall, Butcher/Yellow or the Back Alley Wall that you can mantle to go Mid Map.
Modern warfare has the same issue no flinch at all on snipers. I constantly hit snipers with 2 or 3 bullets only to die to the kar98 or SPR. All guns should have flinch period
They do have flinch but an experienced sniper knows to aim at center mass so the flinch leads the shot.
AMP63 (PM63) can also be regarded as an SMG as it checks most boxes that other SMS check, like for example the Scorpion or Milano/Mac etc. It was in the SMG category in the original Black Ops so I don't understand why they would need to make it an "Automatic Pistol" now since it uses the same ammunition type.
Be great if they did an Arnold character with different film skins like Dutch from predator, Ben Richards from the running man, terminator and jingle all the way....
There is no need to improve quickscoping by decreasing the aim down site time (it is the improper way to use a sniper in the first place)

True game data shows inconsistent data on under barrels for ARs could you cover that please? Specifically, does bruiser grip help with AR movement speed? TrueGame data says no but infiltrator grip has +movement. I cant feel the difference with either.
When the most used sniper is the Kar98 with around 14% and the next one is 2% they gotta buff some snipers so there's more variety.

Hopefully, they fix the graphical issues with the series x because in the multiplayer and zombies screen if you switch over to the other tabs let's say "Weapons" then back to the main one where the operators are walking, the operator and the snowy environment are very low textured and don't go back to the high res ones.

You can check your ping on console if you press start, then go in to the option and hit RB/R1 until you are over in the Account tab, and it will show your ping & packet loss right there. Works that way in Warzone too.

kar98k in mw19 can get as fast as 230ms compared to the fastest pellington at 450ms something

Only Cold War. Raven is in charge of tampering with WarZone so weapons between games are drastically different.

Idont kno if anyone has been experiencing this but I've been in multiple matches in a row where my mini map won't show up on core game modes and it doesn't go away until I restart my game and also some matches I feel like my shots aren't registering properly or like I'm missing bullets but I know I'm not I have good gunskill and some matches it feels normal
I'm no balance expert but I had to the idea of giving snipers AR level handling speeds, maybe a bit slower by a frame or 2 (or not whatever works) but give them ZRG level rate-of-fire. They'll be less clunky, maintain the same lethality, but slow their pace. Though, I guess this is more of a hit to obtaining streaks. I'm 50/50 on giving snipers flinch. I don't know, it was just a thought.

Hi, I know it is not about this video: but I have a question for the team: Is it possible that when you use a weapon that was dropped by another player in multiplayer: you level up much faster and unlock skins also much faster?
It looks to me that each time I use a weapon that I take from an opponent: I win a new skin or attachment without complying the missing objectives due to unlock them.
And it could be very interesting especially in "cold war" where it takes so much time to unlock skins and attachments.
Does someone has had the same impression and could our specialist ExclusivAce verify it with figures and facts?

Modern Warfare has like 40 pistols and it’s taken like 5 months for Cold War to get a 4th. Absolutely ridiculous. I like this game, but the content just isn’t there and it’s getting pretty boring to play.
I want the snipers to switch over to the Modern warfare style. I can snipe decent in MW, but I cant hit a damn thing with snipers on Cold war. It's just so weird.

Honestly, I’m from console and MW has way more forgiving aim assist. Like I can control recoil better when I’m aiming at a player and have decent aim after prolonged periods of not playing MW. I’m also experiencing your issues but I find the general speed of the snipers to be the corporate. For example the new Swiss K is better feeling that all the snipers just because of its handling.

Whatever change is made to snipers, i would like to see a change that makes it so most of the attachments aren't completely useless when fully leveled up. There's almost no point in not using the airborne elastic wrap or tiger team barrel.
I want to see flinch increases for snipers. I don't think your idea on having to choose between no flinch and a fast ads would work because people in snd would choose the flinch and the mode will therefore stay unplayable.
LMGs got nerfed hard last patch. They have the same damage range as the ARs so what’s the point ? Plus the RPD only has 50 rounds in a magazine. No high capacity and no range. Is it really an LMG then ?
I hope the adjustments to snipers make more of them more viable, currently it's pretty much just Kar and the occasional HDR, I really hope they don't add in more scope sway, I find scope sway super irritating when it's prominent.

3:38 You mean the hipfire makes the Stoner 63 way too effective in close quarters on top of being good at long ranges? Because the RPD and M60 are nowhere near "universally too effective" as they are both worse than the Stoner.
The RPD is only slightly overshadowed by the Stoner which is why it's not used as often but it's also an incredible gun.
Do snipers still have glint on low zoom optics? If so, they need to fix that asap
They fixed it only on iron sights. All other sights, including red dot ones still have glint when ADSing. But, it sounds like a possible change
They should completely remove flinch resistance for snipers tbh. Flinch doesn’t really affect quick scoping so separating flinch resistance and ads speed is useless and just buffs hard scoping.
Adding flinch and speeding up snipers would just put them back in the same pocket they've been in for the past decade, which people have never stopped complaining about. The snipers are so different this year specifically because of how notoriously polarizing they've been in the past. I don't think the current balance is perfect, but drifting back towards the old balance approach isn't really a solution.
I would be interested to see damage and flinch ramps as you stay in scope longer, or perhaps flinch is enabled while you're holding your breath or something. That means that if you want to sit in-scope and hold an angle, your shots will be powerful (waist-up OSK), but you'll also be susceptible to flinch, which is the main reason why they're a problem in SnD and why they've been GA'd in the comp scene. That would then leave quickscoping in a similar state to how it is now (low/no flinch, slow ADS), but the power would be somewhat reduced, so the accuracy demands would be increased even further for that playstyle (probably something like base power Tundra [no Tiger Team Barrel] would be the hardest-hitting QS shot).
I want a dragunve buff badly. Keep everything as is except allow 1 shot headshots up to 150m. It has the power to be competitive at closer ranges but can’t compete ate longer ranges.
The Dragunov does not exist in Black Ops: Cold War...

Kind off topic, but has anybody else’s activision account been hacked? I play on Xbox and they still managed to unlink my account and change the email. Now I can’t recover it, went to activision support page but I haven’t heard anything from them.

With those changes to snipers, they would still need to remove aim assist. Flinch means nothing with quickscoping, and a faster ADS speed would make it even more likely to get killed by a quickscoper. Tbh they should change the snipers to be more like MW, those imo were the sweet spot.

I want more load out slots in multilplayer and custom games , also can they fix the difficulty of the bots in custom games they have been stuck on recruit since Lanch.
I'm guessing the auto pistol will drop with a 50 round mag or something like the sykov so it will immediately become the meta weapon with an akimbo blueprint available in the store to con people into buying it.
Also surprised cold war does not have a riot shield option as they seem to be pretty much a standard for the last few CoDs
