Brett McAfee yeah,I'd be putting a few fingers I cut off in the casket after trying to make those cuts!😜But I will make one of these for my Toni Iiomi SG and use the padding from the sg case and use the leftover exterior case for another guitar I just bought.I've started on a Mettalica master of puppets graveyard cross amp so that will go good with this!I saw a casket case at a used guitar store but it was in shabby shape.
Awesome project! This Halloween series has been a joy to view. Really enjoyed the pacing on this one and it had a bit of everything with techniques. Excellent job on the compound geometry as well!
I'm loving the horror theme story arc running through your video's at the moment, I'm going to be kinda sad when Halloweens over.. Great work as always though mate.
Oh, Jimmy was hilarious in this one. Hahaha. I love the build, too. Going to have to think about copying this for one of my guitars. (And only maybe having my vampire killin' weapons in it)
Brett McAfee I'll start on it by springtime. I still have to get my hodgepodge of tools all set up in my sorta overfull garage. I'll see about making a video, so far, I've only posted one video, and I imagine it doesn't get very many views.
This is SO GOOD! 😂 All of it, fuckin fantastic! I’m just floored by the violin case, super well done! The way you bookend your vids with bits is so funny 🤣 Bro you are crushing it, keep it up!
😂 this is gold , it's always gold Brett. You sir, somehow keep out doing yourself. And I'm very impressed with the acting jimmy's part was great. lol way better then any B movie I've seen. You are one talented guy!
LMAO You and Jimmy, have the best report. I love how he's the old miser of wisdom and you are the young buck charging off on a noble quest. The build was great, now both of you have black coffins lol.
Rockin it as always Brett. Don’t tell Jimmy but I think I liked your coffin build better than his. I guess next you have to take on some out of control Thanksgiving turkeys. Can’t wait to see what you have up your sleeve for Christmas.
Hey bud, again loving these videos as always. So now it's Halloween you inspired me to make a coffin after years of me wanting on. Would love some feed back if you have the time. Still learning everyday.
@@skullandspade sorry, I meant if you were to see the coffin in the video. But no worry's mate, I know you're busier than the fish in Davy Jones locker. ☠️☠️. 👻
Carl: Do we have a plan? I mean, it doesn't have to be Wellington's at Waterloo, but some kind of plan would be nice. Van Helsing: We're going to go in there and stop Dracula. Anna Valerious: And kill anyone who gets in our way. Carl:Well, you let me know how that goes...
That's some pretty impressive "eye ballin" on them there compound miters. My heart may have broken a little when you started saying into the violin, though... Doesn't help that my great grandfather was a violin maker in Italy, though. ;)
Brett McAfee Thanks. Also, could you give a little insight on making the angled slats to sit in between the two larger boards? I think perhaps I’d like to recreate this project, just on a larger scale (for a guitar)
That would be amazing! And please feel free to send pictures to my Instagram if you do! Best advice having done 2 now. The miter/angle cuts should be done first. Keep all the pieces longer than needed. I think the angle is somewhere between 5-10 degrees (but it’s however much you want the flair to be. Do the sides first, then bottom, then top 3 smaller pieces. Join the sides to the base board, then lay your top/bottom slats against the space they’ll eventually end up. Pencil marks for measuring. I’ll be 100% honest, I’m not a learned enough wood worker to be able to mathematically cut all those angles and have them all line up. “Build in space” one piece at a time. Once you have the sides cut how you want, it’s a matter of measuring, double checking 1 cut, then the other.
"A local man allegedly stabbed two goths in a Starbucks today- witness say he waved garlic at them before assaulting the surly teens with what looked like handmade stakes and a mallet with 'DIRESTA' marked on it."

Hello, would you like to participate in a challenge called recycling challenge? I have been nominated and I would like to nominate you, answer if you are interested
3:44 that's not how you open a violin dude lol, anyway, when I reached the end of the video I understood why u did it and also the title, but anyway... RIP violin lol
No need to cringe. That thing was a cheapo practice violin worth less than a couple cups of coffee. Though, I do appreciate that you’ve viewed it multiple times ; )
I STARTED WATCHING THIS TO LEARN HOW TO MAKE A COFFIN CASE FOR MY CELLO AND SCREAMED LIKE BLOOD HELL WHEN HE SLICED OPEN THE VIOLIN
yeh me too, lol
Same xD I didn't realize it was meant for a vampire slayer kit until I skipped ahead and landed on the part right when he slices into the violin >_
Same here I was like wait what is he doing then bloody murder screams that it was sawed in half
It's a vso not a real violin so it's OK.
I actually thought I'd be able to buy this 😢
That's actually pretty cool! Kinda makes me want a coffin shaped case for my flute.
Do it!
Even without the anti-vampire accoutrement, that's still a pretty sweet build for a violin case.
Seth Galitzer thank you. I actually did this as practice, because I have an actual case to make for a friend!
OMG my dream come true, a black violin with its coffin case. I'm IN LOVE!!! 🖤🖤🖤
Well good
The fact that two people so far gave you a thumbs down proves that it's impossible to please everyone. Awesome video. I love your stuff
Andy Wright thank you Andy. Haters gonna hate.
Awesome work and f***ing love the music!
Thank you!!!
"Don't take me bro" That look Jimmy was giving was priceless. And the build was cool too ;)

So... El Mariachi guitar/gun case for Cinco de Mayo? ;)

That was rad! Well played
Thanks Cori!

El Mariachi! Another entertaining video! : )
Thank you! Have to try out a bass case rocket launcher at some point.

Aw shucks. No need for heartbreak, that thing was 20$ and all the hardware is plastic. Works better here than for making music ; )
@@skullandspade I didn't actually think you'd cut up a NICE violin... I just had a moment, is all. ;)
Of course! I do the same every time I see guitars get smashed
Awesome!
Look a Jimmy all gangster looking
Right?!
Brett McAfee I love the ending.
"Don't tase me bruuh"
Chris Eckola Lol
Love the video Bret! Don't tase me brah!
Ryan Petzold don’t do it!!! Thank you!
do you happen to have plans for this?
very cool! Heavy though.
Darkness is heavy
Every time I go to Starbox it is like the ending of this video I swear . "Give me a medium coffee I say and they are like Venti? And I say whateva"
Master of None hahah!
I will take a large coffee thanks. Hold the vampire
Yes please
Where did you get the magnets for attaching the cross to the case?
Big box store. Home Depot and Lowe’s carry them in the fastener aisles.

Magnets, how do they work?
Benedict Edwards science and magic.
I want a case like this for my violin!!!
Me too!
Spoopy
lol
Very cool
Thank you!
i want to make an order sir. Can i make a purchase from you? I'm from the Philippines. I really love your work
Kamusta ka! Unfortunately I don’t have the tools to efficiently make one of these coffins. Also, shipping to the Philippines would be $$$$!
Great job! Definitely not plain vanilla lol
Ha, Thank you David!!!
Where can I buy
Someone probably sells something on Temu
Jimmy's lines cracked me up. Walk into Starbucks with that you're gonna get tazed
It's like he speaks from experience.
Nice! No interest in owning a violin ever.....unless it's this one! Those hinges are a cool touch. 👍😁
Hahah, thank you as always Huey!
Brilliant.... :-D
Thanks!
j'adore!!!
Merci!
So cool jimmy lets you use his tools workshop and materials!
Haha. That’s great.
Hahah beautiful
Thanks!
Welp, see you on the news!
Yeah, small town news is going to have a field day with my Starbucks visit.
"A local man allegedly stabbed two goths in a Starbucks today- witness say he waved garlic at them before assaulting the surly teens with what looked like handmade stakes and a mallet with 'DIRESTA' marked on it."
