I KNOW WHAT THE CAT IS, HE'S A CREATURE FROM IRISH MYTHOLOGY! This clicked because my mum always told me a story about something called a Púca (I live in Ireland) It's a fairy which can shapeshift into any animal but always have dark, BLACK, fur. They love giving good advice to humans and also giving them riddles and like games. Doesn't that match up perfectly?!
Not all have black fur, it is occasionally white or another color. Think of Harvey the Rabbit. Or that Tommy O'Rourke story, where the púca was a human soul who was lazy and was now forced to wander the Earth and work for people until he was given help.
I rewatched Coraline recently because of this channel. The first thing I noticed was that Coraline was offered food by the Other Mother. As soon as she ate it, I was screaming at the screen, "OF COURSE SHE CAN'T GO HOME NOW!" Have you ever heard of, or discussed the fact that it's common in folklore, especially regarding the fairy realm or realms of the dead, that if you eat the food offered to you in another world, you can't go home again?
Hey The Fangirl I like to ask you a question can you make a theory on The Lorax from the original on the Once-ler and his family please for your movie Theory
What I am confused about is that people say that The Black Cat leads Coraline through the little door, but the cat is NOT there when Coraline goes through the portal. But the only scene when the black cat is with Coraline in the portal, The Black Cat is slightly behind Coraline!Meaning he couldn't possibly have lead her in.
The Fangirl yeah I know. And what also frustrates me is when people do clickbait and say it's a theory, but they haven't took any details from the film and they actually just made fan fiction.
I love black cats, I had one for years and years when I was a kid. He was a sweetie, but he met a really mean end at the hand of superstitious idiots...
I love that you're showing people that fan theories never HAVE to be one or the other. we are far too used to taking sides, even when there is no need. I loved this conversation! its fun to explore new thoughts and theories, keeps us learning and growing eh? good job!! I'm excited for more of this kind of video!
I'm glad you like it! Honestly, I'm so excited that people get it and are on board! I thought I'd see a thousand "why aren't you doing this with The Theorizer" comments - now, I just have to get more theorists willing to participate!
oh ya, I can see this becoming a thing. I WANT it to become a thing! bouncing ideas back and forth respectfully like that is sorely needed in this fecking bathroom wall culture we've got going on at this point in history. being able to have something entertaining like this to model the tolerance and the building up of others is damned IMPORTANT. I'm glad you decided to start this love ❤
In your Coraline pink place theory you said everytime Coraline returned to the real world the seasons were different, but wouldn't Coraline notice this and wonder what's going on? Please like so she can see this.
Oh, I see it! But, she doesn't go back to the real world, in my opinion, just a limbo world. And, yes, you would THINK that Coraline would notice the sudden changes, because it seems obvious to me that she's going back to the Other World ASAP and not weeks/months later. But, I think Coraline is so in awe of the Other World that she's not paying attention to the world around her.
You described the colour of the Poison Oak leaves as a yellowish orange colour but if Coraline started in Fall/Autumn they would be bright red or pink, but if it started in late February the leaves of the Poison Oak would be bronze which is a yellowish brown.
I live in Southern Oregon. I grew up here, just minutes away from Ashland and regularly visiting because it's pretty much the most interesting part of the valley. The weather throughout Coraline looks exactly like our weather during the seasonal transition from winter to spring and yes, the story taking place in a week or less is perfectly in line with that weather.
I wonder if a few days of going into the other world and supposedly coming out. Like I wonder if she has been kept there for a number of months or only a few months but didn’t realize. And when her parents return home, her mom was going to the store then she suddenly disappeared with the other father? When Coraline gets them back at the end, it’s like they ignored the store thing. So what happened with that? Perhaps she never did leave, cuz some things seemed different and yes taking into account of the changing seasons
The Fangirl Me neither. I'm from Brazil, and here the folklore is totally different. By the way, maybe that fairy girl ghost used to be the Beldam's mother, and was her first victim as well.
Glad to see you collaborating with another UA-camr. New people brings new ideas, and I feel like I understand more about the Beldam and the otherworldly beings that Coraline interacts with. Also, I love learning about mythology and folklore, as well as your Coraline theories so I really enjoyed this video :)
I love listening to your Coraline Theories while I'm at work! They give me something really cool to think about instead of the grossness of living, so thank you :3
The well Definitely has alot of potential to be another portal to the other world. If I remember right, when wybie warns her about the well being a mile deep, he says that people always say that when you look up from the bottom, all you can see are the stars or something similar to that.
I really like this collaboration, and I'm excited for more Coraline Conversations episodes in the future. I watched all your Coraline theories yesterday for a recap and now I'm ready for your Halloween schedule :3
Hey, I know you're already onto something here but I think I have another clue to what the Belledame could be. In an English lesson we had to read a ballad by Micheal Keats, it's about a creature in the form of a woman that seduces someone and traps them in a dream world to feed on their love, happiness and life. The most amazing part of this is the fact that the lady is actually dubbed by one of her old victims, dubbed 'La Belle Dame.' BOOM! The poem is called La Belle Dame.
I don't know i find it weird how the beldam kidnapped mostly girls and didn't bother to kidnap wiley, before Coraline came into town. All the beldam needed to do was to take Wiley and wait for coraline.
She probably can’t leave the grounds or the house. It’s her domain and may have some kind of thing keep her out (the well most likely). And the house is where she is stored. She probably lives there once upon a time and was a witch or something. So that’s probably why she can’t get Wybie since he doesn’t live in the pink palace apartments
Well I just remembered this from what my friends had said. She said that she was scared ((Scared as in not wanting it and it creeps her out)) of lalaloopies ((not sure if I spelled that right)) because it reminds her of Coraline
Okay what if the Belgium made the Coraline doll in the past and put it back in the other world the woman who owned the pink Palace wood not sold to a family with children but when Coraline family came into the mixture she saw a Eerie resemblance to the doll and Coraline she sold them the house to keep her grandson safe
Wow u have so much understanding with different channels and their theories. Your level of understanding is amazing and there needs to be more people like you on UA-cam
In fairy tales and such, fairy's typically have features that look somewhat like their powers or something like that. They also enjoy doing things that have something to do with their powers. And that would slightly explain why she has sewing needles for fingers and why she wants to sew buttons to eyes.
I'd love to hear theories on Edward Scissorhands too. maybe Vincent Price could be a connection? hes like Kevin Bacon with his 6 degrees of old timey horror
i just really love how you are always finding what you want to find about it and give the info to us and u dont give up on finding it! You also give us really specific information and it makes me understand every single bit of it its just awesome
1. I absolutely love your hair! 2. Thank you for continuing the Coraline videos, they're really interesting, and I always learn something new in your videos.
I know, it's made me nuts! But, after reading other Gaiman books, he has a tendency to introduce these crazy creatures and never really explain their origins or what exactly they're supposed to be.
In the first of the 'Iron Fey' books there is a changeling and a boogie (the authors version of an in-betweener. I love seeing this video. I always thought the other mother was a fey! I love this!
Well, first they need to agree on a Coraline 2. THEN, they need to hire me as their head writer or director. After that, I will make a crazy-good sequel for you! :)
In Hayao Miazaki's The Cat Returns, the heroine is escorted by a cat through different alleyways to a tiny town which goes with the cat theory a bit :)
Possible theories/vidoes to consider :3 (that haven't been done) - Doctor Who spoilers : the newest (female) incarnation being that gender due to the life given to him by River Song (after killing him) - Did you know there's a film that was released called "Kids" in 1995, which Miramax had a hand in (two years after Disney's purchase of them), that's revolves around a group of adolescents who get mixed up in drugs, drinking, sex, rape, and angsty shenanigans with the lead being a guy who's HIV+ and gets his kicks "deflowering" virgins. Way to go Disney. It's something you have to do a bit of looking around to find (as they obviously don't advertise their hand in that film's creation, but the evidence is there) - In Time being about disassembling Capitalism in favour of Archo-communism. Possibly theorise on how they link their lifespan to currency? Or do you feel it's just a metaphor? - Is Wonderland a dream or alternate reality/other dimension? - Could Rick Sanchez be Bill Cipher's reincarnation the Axolotl had foretold? If so, do you think Rick had a hand in Bill's demise through his relationship with Ford and thus fulfilling part of the prophesy? - The toxic relationship of Steven Universe's Lars and Sadie (or them in kids shows in general and whether they're there to teach or corrupt their views of healthy relationships) - Holes was just destiny finally playing out how it was suppose to - Meet the Robinsons (meaning Lewis' life) would have played out the same (more or less) regardless of Goob's interference; the point at there the timelines finally split (keeping them from a perpetual loop) and begins to very slightly vary (at least for Lewis' future) being when he remembers to go back and wake Goob on the baseball field - What do the obligate carnivores in Zootopia eat? Hmm...well, there's some. Sure there's more but ~ yeah, haha Let me know which appeal to you :)
This is the most amazingly and best channel ever , I watched this channel ever day and I love the fact that you make sure it's logical 😂 best channel ever
Earlier in the movie Wybie calls Coraline a water witch, and while Coraline may have been just messing around, she did succuessfully find the well. What if she is a young witch and the cat is HER familiar?
I love this video! this is so cool! please do more of these videos! it's also comforting to see your first expression to what others are saying! I love mythological creatures! I love folklore!
It's not a bad idea, but then it would be me reading comments the whole time lol. Plus, I notice most people either comment The Theorizer's ideas, or they forget that they're handing me my own theories back. So, for right now, I'm going to stay with channels that have talked about Coraline. :)
Hey I just watched your Julia and and autism video and I can relate so much with your daughter cause I have autism too and that video almost made me cry because it's so relatable to me. The awkwardness of meeting new people and so much more. Thank you for that video and I hope so much more progress for people with autism is made in the future
Have you heard of the new show The Good Doctor? I'm so excited for that to premiere, it's about a doctor who has autism, and it looks amazing! *hugs* Thank you for your comment!
The Fangirl I have heard of it but never watched it. I'll have to check it out. A tv show your family needs to check out is called atypical, it's about an autistic boy and his family and him wanting more freedom and his family on a self discovery journey. It's on Netflix if you guys have it.
The theories here are great, but what I love most about this is the message about positivity and friendly discussion! There is *so* much hate on the internet, especially in youtube comments. It's disheartening to see all the vitriol that people spew over things that are supposed to be fun. Aren't we all here to be entertained, after all? Thank you for showing that people can have different thoughts and opinions and still be friendly to each other. That simple fact seems to be lost on most people in today's world!
You are MOST welcome! And, believe me, it's very disheartening to spend hours making something like a theory, only to see people get an attitude or try to kick up trouble. So, I will at least try to be the change I want to see, and maybe that will take an edge or too off of the more rapid fans. >.
Oooh, I actually think I named that as a possibility for the Beldam in one of my older videos too. 0.o
Omg yas it is
No a púca is Irish for ghost
YES YES YES
Not all have black fur, it is occasionally white or another color. Think of Harvey the Rabbit. Or that Tommy O'Rourke story, where the púca was a human soul who was lazy and was now forced to wander the Earth and work for people until he was given help.

A very good point.
Yesssss
Guardian
I don't get it.Why can't she go on the real world because she ate foods???
I love Devan Ken It's common in folklore. Read it again to see that.
Oh yeah
She’s still rolling out the coraline theories! Awesome!
This concludes Coraline WEEK, but not Halloween season :)
Whoever hurt you, it's thier loss. I love this collaboration! I've been looking for a good channel talking about creatures from folklore!
AllMonsters GoToSpace is the place for you then! They are excellent over there!
The Fangirl wybie says that it was the cat's idea to give coraline the doll
The Fangirl I subscribed
Hey The Fangirl I like to ask you a question can you make a theory on The Lorax from the original on the Once-ler and his family please for your movie Theory

I like your hair its pretty like a mermaid 😊
aww, thank you!
The Fangirl you’re welcome

I don't know why people think that. The mice lead Coraline to the door at first, but the cat never comes in the house until the parents get taken.
The Fangirl yeah I know. And what also frustrates me is when people do clickbait and say it's a theory, but they haven't took any details from the film and they actually just made fan fiction.
my grandma has a black cat but hes really nice and doesnt scratch or bite or anything and hes not bad luck
I love black cats, I had one for years and years when I was a kid. He was a sweetie, but he met a really mean end at the hand of superstitious idiots...
The Fangirl 😢

I'm so obsessed I watched all your Coraline theories today : )
omg, I really need to make trophy icons to give to people who can do that!
Oh thank you :)
Yass , a video on why the garden is shaped like the Beldams face at the ending of coralline
Wait what? I thought it was Coralines face?
This is really cool. Theories are just so fun to make
They are, and it's great to work with other channels sometimes!
The Fangirl it's also fun to listen to others theory's and build your own theory more
I just gonna stop here for a minute and say, that I ADORE your new hair, it's so pretty 0w0
Well, thank you!
Hi I love your videos, your hair and your voice 😊
Awww, thank you, Lillie!
Yeah, her hair looks cool. hehe ^^
I LOVE BLACK BUTLER!!!

I know, right? Changeling means something so different in US culture, I had no idea about half of this stuff!
The Fangirl Me neither. I'm from Brazil, and here the folklore is totally different. By the way, maybe that fairy girl ghost used to be the Beldam's mother, and was her first victim as well.

I love your hair pretty blue or green cause I see both
Turquoise! I tried to leave my front strands blonde, but then the dye caught it anyways while washing it out.

Sarah Moore my bad thanks.
Sarah Moore it's actually spelt Wybie.
shouldnt it b spelled Why-b?
She probably can’t leave the grounds or the house. It’s her domain and may have some kind of thing keep her out (the well most likely). And the house is where she is stored. My son has said the same thing. Not that he's ever wanted a LalaLoopsie, but, ya know, passing them in the store and such.
I love the fact that almost all the comments have a reply from The Fangirl! She is always so sweet to her subscribers!
Love your videos so much your vids are so cool
Thank you!
Hey look another lpstuber :D
I'm happy now that there's a new Coraline video
My goal is to make you guys all VERY happy over Halloween season!
Sun Moon the last one was 2 days ago...
Thanks for making all these Coraline theories
Okay what if the Belgium made the Coraline doll in the past and put it back in the other world the woman who owned the pink Palace wood not sold to a family with children but when Coraline family came into the mixture she saw a Eerie resemblance to the doll and Coraline she sold them the house to keep her grandson safe
I meant beldam stupid autocorrect thanks for catching me on that one
I swear to god that mans voice is SOOOO GODDAMN SOOTHING!!! I could listen to him talk for hours😂😊
I love your videos so much
Thank you! I was actually thinking about trying pink or purple next!
Wow u have so much understanding with different channels and their theories. Your level of understanding is amazing and there needs to be more people like you on UA-cam

The beginning is soooo true and I feel your pain
I think I'm going to have to make a third set of emojis because you've been using theme like ever video now and I love it
*them
lol, I told you I really needed them. There are so few female-based reaction memes!
The Fangirl I'm on it! Any requests?
I could get a lot of use out of a curious face and seriously thinking face.
The Fangirl Roger that!
How can such a good movie like this, be so underrated
I was just watching Coraline and went to your channel to see if you had thought of something I had while watching it...talk about a coincidence!
Did we match up? 0.0
Yes! I immediately thought changeling!!!!
This video just made me pause it in the middle and go watch Coraline again lol
I made it to the end if it's not too much trouble could you please do a theory on Edward Scissorhands if you have time
I swear, I will get to that one, just not super soon (Halloween season is already over booked!).
The Fangirl I understand with that movie I have many questions about it
John Panda that's a good one
Good Movie
I'd love to hear theories on Edward Scissorhands too. maybe Vincent Price could be a connection? hes like Kevin Bacon with his 6 degrees of old timey horror
i just really love how you are always finding what you want to find about it and give the info to us and u dont give up on finding it! You also give us really specific information and it makes me understand every single bit of it its just awesome
Whenever they say "changeling" I always think of the one in Mlp XD
Sophia Fatimah me to!
YAY! MORE CORALINE!!!!!!!!!!!!
I thought a week of Coraline would be appreciated lol
Every week needs to be a week of coraline
Also your hair is amazing
1. I absolutely love your hair!
2. Thank you for continuing the Coraline videos, they're really interesting, and I always learn something new in your videos.
Thanks, and thank you for watching!
I wish we could've heard more about the creature between dimensions, that parts always been a mystery to me
I know, it's made me nuts! But, after reading other Gaiman books, he has a tendency to introduce these crazy creatures and never really explain their origins or what exactly they're supposed to be.
I have to say that I LOVE CORALINE THEORIES so thank for making coraline theories
You are welcome, and thank you for being here!
Yay I made it to the end!
MORE CORALINE!!!!!!PLEASE!!!!!I'LL DIE WITHOUT IT!!!(Movie reference)
can you talk with The Theorizer?
Collabs are not his cup of tea. I've asked, he said maybe someday in the future.
Thanks for the collab! I learned a lot more cool things to really think about
This was a fun video to watch. Subscribed to All Monsters channel as soon as I finished the video. Stay strong and keep theorizing.
I love Seelie (Faerie)Mythology, specifically Celtic mythology. I love seeing a mythology and a movie I love linked like this! Great theory. -Lee
In the first of the 'Iron Fey' books there is a changeling and a boogie (the authors version of an in-betweener. I love seeing this video. I always thought the other mother was a fey! I love this!
My daughter and I LOVE to watch your theories! She might be 3 but she LOVES this movie and likes hearing all about it. Thank you for sharing this ❤❤
This comment made my night. Thank you! And thank your daughter too!
I love coraline conversations please do not stop making these videos.
I feel like she's an IT more so than Farie.
Pennywise? There is a theory about that.
Omg I'm so addicted to these
Coraline will return! I'm just going to give her a little break after today. :)
The pictures are amazing. For lack of a better term, they're... amazing.
This is my first time seeing your face you are SO CUTE!
Aww, you're too nice! Thank you!
Yes!! I love this!❤️ my friends and I love discussing theories (movie, books, events). So this is so interesting!
JUST MAKE A CORALINE 2 explaining EVERYTHING!
Well, first they need to agree on a Coraline 2. THEN, they need to hire me as their head writer or director. After that, I will make a crazy-good sequel for you! :)
The Fangirl not as easy as you think amazinggirl
The Fangirl Henry said that sequels or prequels are just rewrites, and he has no interest in doing that
Great idea, to have a two way conversation. This opens avenues for bouncing ideas off of two great theorists. I’m excited to see this series expand.
I'm very hopeful for it too! Now, if only more theorists were willing to participate! lol
THIS IS AWSOME AND I DO NOT LIKE THAT PEOPLE HATE YOUR CHANNEL ITS AMAZING
I love making theories! They are so much fun, I'm thinking of making a theory channel. I also like your Chanel !😍
Do it! Go be awesome!
In Hayao Miazaki's The Cat Returns, the heroine is escorted by a cat through different alleyways to a tiny town which goes with the cat theory a bit :)
That is true!
Omg I love your hair
Thank you!

- Holes was just destiny finally playing out how it was suppose to
- Meet the Robinsons (meaning Lewis' life) would have played out the same (more or less) regardless of Goob's interference; the point at there the timelines finally split (keeping them from a perpetual loop) and begins to very slightly vary (at least for Lewis' future) being when he remembers to go back and wake Goob on the baseball field
- What do the obligate carnivores in Zootopia eat?
Hmm...well, there's some. Sure there's more but ~ yeah, haha
Let me know which appeal to you :)
I love your hair and all your Theory’s!
Thank you sweetie!
The Fangirl your welcome
I cannot tell you enough how much I love coraline. Best movie

i like your theories and the theories of others!
i love watching your videos! you are a super cool dorky fangirl, and you're hair is on point
'I love to talk to "other" people about coraline'
Its creepy
I like your theories are awesome, please keep up the good work!
I will try!
then no one can ask for more! :)
The changeling is the being left in place of the child, not the child itself, which is what he made it sound like.
I love this video! this is so cool! please do more of these videos! it's also comforting to see your first expression to what others are saying! I love mythological creatures! I love folklore!
Good job, an idea is to do a live episode of Coraline conversations where the audience can theorize with you.
It's not a bad idea, but then it would be me reading comments the whole time lol. Plus, I notice most people either comment The Theorizer's ideas, or they forget that they're handing me my own theories back. So, for right now, I'm going to stay with channels that have talked about Coraline. :)
i literally live for your videos, thank you for blessing us with ur thoughts 🙏
You are an awesome theorist and youtuber! Never forget that!
If y’all ever seen the movie hocus-pocus what if the cat is just like the cat on the movie and was just cursed
Sparies! XD
omg I know! That was my best blooper ever so I left it in!
Wait, maybe that's the Beldam's official creature name! A Spider Fairy, or Spairy!
them: *says the word changling*
Me and other mlp fans: ah I understand :D
Glad to see your channel growing been here since day one congrats.
YAY MORE VIDEOS!!!
OMG your hair is goals
Best collab!
The Fangirl
I have heard of it but never watched it. I'll have to check it out. A tv show your family needs to check out is called
atypical, it's about an autistic boy and his family and him wanting more freedom and his family on a self discovery journey.
So, I will at least try to be the change I want to see, and maybe that will take an edge or too off of the more rapid fans. >.
First off, ignore the haters, second, The Fangirl U R SOOOOO PRETTY! :D
Aww, thank you so much, Alexis!
