I just bought a Wanscam HW0029 P2P IP Cam. After I set up and opened IE, it only show al black display thought all keys on the right hand size are there. But I can opened it with Firefox and pan/tilt the camera; except, after email set up, submit, test, it failed, saying Cannot connect to server. Please advise.
have been trying for an hour to set up email alerts. Every time I set then test I get an error message saying "cannot connect to server". I have checked and check that I've put in the correct details but it still cannot connect. PnP should mean that you plug it in and it becomes usable.

It's REALLY odd behaviour even after I block incoming traffic on my router and disabled most services on the camera, that this camera is trying REALLY hard to send packets out to the interwebz when I don't want it to. A spy cam? There are several different brands that use this camera body and anyone reseller can possibly load their own 'special' firmware onto it before sending them out. Anywhere I can get the non trojan horse version of the firmware?

I bought these 4 cameras 2 months, and still have big problems to setup the wireless IP. The trick about setting up the camera is, not to configure anything before the WiFi connection. After connecting WiFi, you can set everything. Or you'll get yourself in a wireless connection trouble...

The trick about setting up the camera is, not to configure anything before the WiFi connection. After connecting WiFi, you can set everything. Or you'll get yourself in a wireless connection trouble...
