Just bought the Cutting Edge pedal and it’s far and away my favorite sounding high gain/metal pedal. I really liked the G4 from Revv as well but this one edges it out. Great dynamics and note clarity.
Just picked up the Mystic Edge. It's pretty awesome so far! Have you tried the Friedman or Revv pedals? I built a G3 clone and it sounded pretty awesome
I'm totally picking up the Minibar and some of that Amazon Basics line intrigues me too. About that Minibar pedal, what liquid gave the cleanest sound if you remember? Was there a liquid that put it in clean boost/light drive territory or was everything just a fuzz variation?
Amazing how much really does come down to personal preference. I had the Cutting Edge and was just really underwhelmed by it, and honestly I can't say what it was... It was just meh to me and I returned it. I think the features are great and would buy another one of a different design but that one just didn't do it for me. Loved that you demoed it with some older ensiferum stuff!
@@WholeLottaBulldog I thought it would be more like modern high gain but it was more like a jcm800. This is based on what I recall from a year ago so take it with a grain of salt.

Don't you find it to be too noisy with gain past 12 o'clock?
That cutting edge sounds incredible
The ranger pedal's engineering looks rather intriguing. Also new uploads are always swell.
The Rainger Minibar looks wicked fun! It has single-handedly began a toneliquid discussion haha
Great to hear some Ensiferum riffs on your channel! :D
how many people do you think recreated the metallica load album cover in that minibar pedal ? hahahahahahahaha
LOL
Har har
Cab sim sound of the Vox Cutting Edge might be useful as a layer, or as a built in "lo-fi" sound for spots in songs that call for it.

Wow. The features of that Vox pedal are pretty innovative 🤔

That cutting edge sounds more Peavy than Mesa imo
Cool assortment 🤘
Vodka, definitely loved the Vodka.
Not to be a gear snob but I'd rather play a D.I. signal for the rest of my life than use an Amazon basics boost lmao
You are correct
Definitely used urine at some point for the Minibar 😏

Hey mate, what did you not like about the cutting edge?

@@MetalZoned interesting, thanks for the reply.
It's actually a Mesa and not a Marshall
@@taufiqbmr pretty sure he knows that, his gripe is that it sounded more like a marshall than a mesa, hence why it missed the mark for him.
Hmm, I can't be the only one wondering what goat blood would do in that Ranger pedal, LOL... :)
