The Ed Sullivan Show was a television variety program that aired on CBS from 1948-1971. For 23 years it aired every Sunday night and played host to the world's greatest talents. The Ed Sullivan Show is well known for bringing rock n' roll music to the forefront of American culture through acts like Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. The entertainers each week ranged from comedians like Joan Rivers and Rodney Dangerfield, to Broadway stars Julie Andrews and Richard Burton, to pop singers such as Bobby Darin and Petula Clark. It also frequently featured stars of Motown such as The Supremes, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5. The Ed Sullivan Show was one of the only places on American television where such a wide variety of popular culture was showcased and its legacy lives on to this day.

Pearl was one of the true legends of show business. A classy lady and a great talent.
Hey, she asked you not to talk about her!
What class and humor and grace and VOICE! They sure don't make 'em like that anymore!
Pearl is the perfect name. She’s a gem.
One of the greatest entertainers to ever live, rest in power🙏🏽🖤
I loved Pearl Baily
BAILEY
She was an artist with a lot of talent.
Absolutely GREAT👍 Pearl was really cool 😎!
Pearl sung at Joan Crawford’s funeral and referred to her as her “sister”. This is awesome
😊Peal's shtick was so much fun, even though it sometimes distracted from her great vocals. My first Broadway show was Hello Dolly with Pearl and Cab Calloway...the bar was set.
She was the BEST!!
I love her! Such a deep wonderful voice! She was so sassy. Reminds me of Mae West in a way. 😊💜
She is absolutely fine for her singing yeah
Fun fun 🎉
Believe it or not, Michigan J. Frog was my introduction to this great song! Yup, ONE FROGGY EVENING featured this number when the frog's owner got thrown in the asylum. You can see Michigan singing this song by the barred window.❤
ill go check it out rn. her version was on Spotify but i think they took it down. she did an wonderful version of let us entertain ourselves you, i cant find
HAHA i thought you were talking about a jaz musican not a literal frog. I never realized he had a full name. he had quite the repertoire
Brilliant! 🤩💜🩷🩵
Thanks for showing this entertaining clip video of Pearl Bailey…😊! This reminds when I saw BB King in Tucson, Arizona and he was saluted all his show business friends who had gone. He did an excellent Pearl Bailey face and voice…😂!
Have a great day!

The voice of the owl Big Mama in the Fox and the Hound.
