@@wigletron2846 It's not as good at being the first game as the first game is. It's so vastly different it's hard to compare them. One of the best comparisons I've heard is that playing Aragami 2 after the original is like playing Metal Gear Rising and expecting the same thing you got from Metal Gear Solid.
@@a-blivvy-yus but Metal Gear Rising wasn't a numbered Metal Gear Solid game, and it was actually good. Aragami 2 is repetitive and cheap feeling. It's a completely different game. Completely different game? Absolutely! Dated? There's a stronger argument for that about the original. A stealth game where being detected is basically a game over? THAT is a dated concept if there ever was one in the genre. A2 isn't as distinctive and unique about what it does, and it's very much not a direct "Aragami again" style sequel. But there are franchises which have established precedent for sequels to be more than just "more of the same" to their previous titles. Final Fantasy, as one example, has a long history of doing drastically different things from one title to the next. Armored Core has a history of having the non-numbered releases as spinoffs of the most recent numbered entry, and the numbered releases being effectively series reboots with a new universe being built around them. Aragami's not going that far out of the realm of the original, but it's still a drastically different experience when comparing the two games. A lot of people like the first game and dislike the second, NOT because the second is a worse game, but because it doesn't do a lot of the things they loved the first game for. A lot of people who like A2 think the first game is awful and dated and dislike it because it's not much like the sequel which they really enjoy. Some people really enjoy both for what they are, but respect that neither one is going to appeal to everyone who likes the other. Aragami was an excellent "pure" stealth game with some well-implemented use of light and shadow both visually and in game mechanics. A2 is a good action stealth game with a heavy focus on stealth and mobility, but with options for when you get detected, and ways to build for a more combative playstyle if you want to do that. They're both set in the same world, but in different eras and with a different feel tot he experience because of the changes to the world in that time.
About the whisper ability, it is working as intended, risk vs a big reward, one more enemy out of the map, you can keep it that way or spend one of your resources to upgrade it and make it so you can individually whisper to enemies, it's a quality of life change but if you don't want to spend too many points, you can still make it work, but like I said, at a bigger risk
Yeah it's always a little concerning when reviewers take time to harp on something that is addressed in game. Pretty fair review across the board from what I've seen a half dozen missions into it. This game and the first are extremely similar to DARK: both exclusively stealth, with shadow-like powers and a completely nonsensical and inconsistent story, which the plot leads to nowhere. We still don't know what aragami are: ghost/poltergeist-ninja? What's their affliction? Who exactly is protagonist? What's his name? Is he supposed the same one at the first game?
Why even give a review on stealth games if you're giving negatives for the things that actually make a good stealth game. Imagine if whisper actually worked so you could single out a target and just stab them from a corner and do it 100x throughout the game, it is a feature that is supposed to be discouraging. There's so many stealth game people on UA-cam and what you get is these reviewers looking for COD from every game.
i was thinking the same thing, the map is borderline a direct copy. sekiro is easily one of my favorite games of all time, it can be frustrating but stick with it cuz its truly an amazing gaming experience

I got the first 1 on ps plus but still have not touched It.. and im here looking at reviews for the 2nd one…. Can someone help? The first one worth the playthru?
This looks pretty dope. I don't know why people are being so critical towards it. Plus, isn't it like $20? The first one was so good that maybe people expected more I guess.
I think the main reason people are being critical of it is that the game is very distinctly not Aragami, the lore of Aragami 2 feels rather significantly disconnected from that of the first game and many of the major gameplay features have been changed or completely removed such as only being able to teleport to shadows or light draining your energy.
im not gonna stealth at all in this game gonna go out swinging at the opps!!!!! maybe just one or two missions ill stealth lol 🥳 ima b using shadow powers into sword slicing combos all day
I disagree so far iv encountered horrible bugs when trying to stealth kill. Sometimes it lags and then you get spotted also on the series s at least the game has horrible screen rips. Feels unfinished and un tested. Thankfully it was in game pass. For now at least im not going to bother with it until it gets some fixing.
I am sorry but have you really played the first game? This time I agree with IGN for the most part. I haven't seen many bugs but the teleportaton is much worse than the first game, the visuals are bland even if they are more sharp and don't get me started why you hide more in the stupid tall grass (nowadays every stealth game has to have tall grass and I am tired of this cliche) than in the actual shadows like the first one.
I think the only tall grass in the first were some bushes but everything thing else enemy sight could detect you if they got close, some of the stupidity of the AI in the second is kinda sad
Just downloaded from gamepass and played a few hours. Fun but repetitive. Tied to played Online in squad. Never worked. Glad it is "Free" on Gamepass, would have never bought the game.

Well, i started it and there was very bad screen tearing and fps drops on Series X. Very poor and needs a patch asap. Disappointed big time 👎🏼😤😥
So its not just the series s then. I had the, same as, well as horrible stealth kill bugs. Imo its not even worth playing on xbox atm.
The game i think has bad frame pacing. Im not dropping any frames on my series x but the screen is skipping.
i have made exactly the opposite experiance XD. In my opinion is this game so bad in comparison to the first game.
Bro I thought the exact same thing
Opinions are magical
Looks repetitive and blocky. Ill try it out since I have Gamepass
@@ericwalker6477 bruh that’s literally the description for Minecraft😂
So is it easier and better than the first one 😂
This seems to look a lot like sekiro, am I right. Maybe its just a coincidence for me since i started sekiro last night
Good luck with Sekiro, that game blew me away. im in NG+1
Hesitation is defeat, and have fun
i was thinking the same thing, the map is borderline a direct copy. sekiro is easily one of my favorite games of all time, it can be frustrating but stick with it cuz its truly an amazing gaming experience
Hmmm game looks like an janky Sekiro game. Maybe if they hadn’t created multiplayer or added in later then they could’ve worked on polishing the core of the game, as well as animations and mechanics. Its only just released tho. So it’ll probably improve over time.
Why are all your videos so blurry?
Those outdated graphics require a Vega 56/GTX 1070? What a joke.
I just came.
I am going to play this game with no hud and no see through walls ability or no invisibility.
Noones on online,im sad
0:35
Hmm... I wonder what game franchise he's talking about... **cough cough** Assassin's creed **cough cough**
Seriously though, it's so sad what they've done with the franchise... It's not Assassin's anymore, it's Demi-God simulator and Viking simulator...
Some of the worst screen tearing i've seen in a game.
It sounds like there are kinks to work out still, but an otherwise solid game.
reminds me of tenchu serise
Some of these comments lmao. Like damn do yall even taste food anymore.
I got the first 1 on ps plus but still have not touched It.. and im here looking at reviews for the 2nd one…. Can someone help? The first one worth the playthru?
First one is boring…just go with the second one it looks way better
Play the first
This looks pretty dope.
1 is better.
This looks like a low rent AC game.
Aragami 1 had its own thing going on which they seem to have abandoned.
33 seconds in I said no due to the E for everyone stealth Kills?? Or knock outs whatever that was. Sigh Long live Tenchu
Why dont they just give us a new Tenchu!
Hate that people lower level than you can’t join your story mission :/
Why did this video look 720p?
It is automatically set in that.
You can change to 1080p
Sooooo why does the sequel look worse that the first game
I miss tenchu
Old UI was better with the cape
is there couch coop?
This looks like fun!
Its bad
@@mmmpasta1400 it’s great
im not gonna stealth at all in this game gonna go out swinging at the opps!!!!! maybe just one or two missions ill stealth lol 🥳 ima b using shadow powers into sword slicing combos all day
I disagree so far iv encountered horrible bugs when trying to stealth kill. Sometimes it lags and then you get spotted also on the series s at least the game has horrible screen rips. Feels unfinished and un tested. Thankfully it was in game pass. For now at least im not going to bother with it until it gets some fixing.
Problem in stealth game is repetitiveness
I am sorry but have you really played the first game? This time I agree with IGN for the most part. I haven't seen many bugs but the teleportaton is much worse than the first game, the visuals are bland even if they are more sharp and don't get me started why you hide more in the stupid tall grass (nowadays every stealth game has to have tall grass and I am tired of this cliche) than in the actual shadows like the first one.
I think the only tall grass in the first were some bushes but everything thing else enemy sight could detect you if they got close,
some of the stupidity of the AI in the second is kinda sad
You can see through walls, pass....
???
AI seems both blind and deaf from time to time 🤔 have to try it out to see if it feels like it looks.
The ending is disappointing
nowadays even indie games like aragami are too hand holdy and wants to appeal to the widest audience possible was a letdown for me
The multiplayer needs to be patched, I can't stay in a match and is constantly get kicked. Love the game though.
Looks like a poors man assassins creed
Your grammar is worse
Just downloaded from gamepass and played a few hours. Fun but repetitive. Tied to played Online in squad. Never worked. Glad it is "Free" on Gamepass, would have never bought the game.
IGN - Not Ghost of T. 6/10 🙄
The fact you actually think aragami is anywhere close to as good as ghost of Tsushima is hilarious. Ghost of Tsushima is way better than this indie game
Animations are so uninspired. Been there done that gameplay. I love stealth games but this looks worse then Aragami.
I was thinking the same thing I'll stick to splinter cell chaos theory and metal gear solid games for my stealth fix.
Now your talking, or even some Invisible Inc before I play this shite
This dude is literally just walking behind people and doing the same takedown animation over and over.
shame they lost the cell shaded style. Makes it look bland and stand out as a low budget game. Still interested though as i love stealth games and SORELY MISS TENCHU!
The frame rate looks atrocious
It’s 60 FPS.
Its on console i think
Whoever reviewed this game didn’t play it, otherwise they’d know you can upgrade whisper to individually target an enemy .
