I would love love LOVE to see it in the fj45. I just put fcx18 portals on it (using a mix of fcx18 and the original 1/12 parts and hardware +injora SCX24 gladiator drive train parts) and while it is crazy torque-y at low speeds now it is missing a bunch of wheel speed. The Fj45 is what got me into it, and your videos have helped me figured out and learn a lot! I’m excited to see what you do with this motor:)
I don't know how well it will fit popular 1/18 crawlers being basically a 2445 brushless motor size BUT with it being able to have forward, brake and reverse and to disable the drag brake and it has a 2.3mm motor shaft (same as stock Arrma grom's) this would be a great upgrade for them to keep the stock pinion and not have to try and fit a separate esc. Just hope they come out with higher KV's for the bashers
@@2fmrcBut HW did come out with a new outrunner and esc for 1/24 that I think is more practical for the micros. And, no doubt, tons more reliable than the Furitek.
Furitek was the 1st to release a 2 in 1 minicrawler system, yet the price is $99, the HW at $59 is a really hard to beat deal assuming that is as good as it’s big brother.
The Furitek actually fits 1/24 and true 1/18s though. This is massive for those trucks. It’s basically for this capra18 which no one I know even wants lol
This is what I was thinking. I'd actually like to run a tiny motor in a 1/10 super-scale trail truck (because it's not scale to have the equivalent of 2000hp) but I think that the small motors would generate too much heat. I'd be fine with a weak motor that was easy to fit in a scale engine compartment, and that could struggle without burning up.
The drop in combo from Furitek is the best Grom system to me. If word gets out they should rule the Grom world. $99 and you can have a power wheelie 50 plus mph Mojave monster.
I tried connecting this ESC to a 1500 mAh 15C 2S lithium ion battery using a EC2 to Deans adapter and it went into voltage protection almost immediately. The battery is fully charged and came with my Haiboxing 16890. These batteries work fine in my Haiboxing 16889A Pro, 2996A, and Omni Terminator. In the Omni and the 2996A I run 2 in parallel for longer run times and it works great. I tried it with this ESC in my Typhon Grom and all I get is 3 beeps repeating. Do you have any Ideas?
Hey bro I love your videos I want to get this motor for my Capra. It’s so badass but can you maybe come out with a video with a good TIRE upgrade for the Kyosho Fazer MK2 mine just caught fire🔥 lol I just posted it
Where is the what to buy and how to install for the very first time? I don’t know where to get the controller and whatever else I need if I like my stock radio. Not even sure what I’m asking and can’t find them to order. Thanks
How about for us SCX24 owners? Anything for 1/24 crawlers, does this Fusion mini-16 fits my SCX24 C10 or is it too big? Btw Furitek has the Unity 2in1 for both 1/18 and 1/24 rigs but it cost more. Have you tried or review the Furitek Unity yet man?
as I also just saw a posting for the trx brushless combo... this comes out shortly after unity and is priced well... wish it was about $10 cheaper though. poor injora undercutting the market only to get hit by this
People are missing the point. This was designed for minis NOT micros so, of course it doesn't fit your SCX24 or TRX-4m. HW just released an outrunner motor and esc that will be more practical. The Furitek 2in1 is garbage - erratic performance, poor low speed , overheating. The HW will outperform the Furitek 2in1 and their outrunner and esc setup, hands down!
this is a very... weird release. it's too big for any crawler in the 1/16-1-18th range, except the WPL and similar, which cost less RTR than this thing, and have for the most part abysmal chassises where the performance of this thing would just be a waste the FMS bigger scale more 'scale' trucks would be a nice fit, but they all already have 2-speed gearboxes with decent motors, and a 1080 esc would be a far better bang-for-buck, considering the inherent lacklustre performance of the platform(s) the UTB18 is nowhere near any concept of '1/18th', not unless your math is from a parallel universe. scale numbers are usually wildly inaccurate, but the UTB18 is on a whoooole different level. and as far as crawlers go, it's in a pretty unique spot/category (and why nobody is buying them and why the're often very, very heavily discounted) and yet it seems tailor made for the UTB18... which is likely going to be discontinued soon the Groms would fit it. as would the MiniLMT. but why? there's better options out there with more oomph (though a bit more expensive), and the crawler stuff is pointless on those platforms the Enduro12? is anybody buying those? if yes, why? such a weird segment. barely smaller than 1/10th, but significantly less performance and versatility, not to mention aftermarket. seems pointless to target those at this point in time two potentially interesting use cases come to mind: 1) there's 370 motor options for the TRX4M. this is basically the superior alternative to those. i really wish somebody would come out with a LCG gearbox for those, 'cause the CG is.... yeah 2) if FMS put a modicum of effort into the FMT24 platform, this is a drop in replacement for the stock 370 motor, and on 3S (though good luck fitting a decent 3s battery in there) could still rip and even crawl with some diff tuning (thicker oils, locking outright). but there's essentially no aftermarket since nobody is buying them (a pity, such a great platform. a version with a slightly longer wheelbase would be a great candidate for a proper 1/24 or 1/18 Ultra4 car with the MiniFusion) that's all i can come up with. rant over. sorry for the wall of text
Sorry but this motor is a bit pointless at the moment, it is way too big for most 1/18 scale crawlers and will not fit the 1/24 scale guys either. I think Hobbywing missed the mark on this one to bring something out for the little guys.
Totally agree! The Capra 18 will be canceled soon I’m sure. No one wants it lol. The 24 combo looks decent but nothing we don’t already have unfortunately. I was hoping for the fusion in 1/24 size! I’ll be checking it out anyway but I’m a bit let down.
@@Djkommode I had one and it was cool but no one around here has them so it was kind of useless for me. Too large to run with true 1/18s & 1/24s but too small to run with 1/10s lol

Furitek has telemetry and bluetooth with a nice dash view if I am not mistaken. Woud be nice to see a comparission of the FOC of both systems.

I want one that will fit in the TRX4M. Great to have something for the UTB18 but we need something for the actual 18th scales out there.
Curious what size of the mounting it supports. Is it 370-390 sized? If it's yes then this is new upgrade for MN/WPL trucks
Was wondering the same thing
@@DaddyDaughterRC-sw2zb One of my buddies said it will direct support for MN86/mn128, their stock pinion also will fit.

Wonder if hobbywing will be at Proline by the fire this weekend. If so, I may need to grab one of these.
There is already a video of people testing them in 1/10 light weight crawler this is an excellent option and for the price I am telling you
That is a fine idea!!!!!
