I hate that closet clean out culture has created this idea that you’re not supposed to have a lot of clothes. I hate that you felt the need to apologize for the amount of clothes you were keeping. I feel like social media has blown trends like Marie Kondo and trying on everything videos WAY out of proportion, and now people feel pressured to not own a lot of clothing, and end up getting rid of things they’d want to wear. Dude, if you like fashion and you genuinely wear all those clothes, what the heck, keep ‘em. Just today I went through my ootd highlight to see how often I wear the same items of clothing, and the most I repeated something was a flannel I wore 3 times out of 60 some outfits. I have easily TWICE the amount of clothes in my closet as in your keep pile, and I’m not an internet creator who’s every article of clothing has probably been documented online. But I wear everything in my closet, so I keep it.
