Ah yes, the vtol floats quite excellently.
Hi
hi@@siepjongsma9685
Don't forget to be efficient in space travel and orbital mechanic that a gravity turn will be needed, you never want to just go strait up. But Looks like the new DLC will be fun, Stormworks KSP . . .
it appears howeve those mechanics of orbital is not really a thing. I am not sure about that but it appears as such from watching video. disapointing, I was expecting KSP (lite) version of getting orbit
@@SEANMCAD I wonder if it is a case of once the player leaves the standard map and enters the space map orbital mechanics becomes a thing, as he said the moons gravity was effecting him before he entered the moons map. I'm tempted to buy the DLC but it stills feels like a gimmick to me and not true addition to the game.
@@ZackDragonkin I am looking forward to testing it out. The videos I saw made it look easy by ksp standards. I want to do this the long way though. I plan to build the experience from the ground up :)
Is that simulated at all in this? It looked like he went straight up, somehow firing his engine the whole trip XD
I havent seen any bugs. I was pretty surprised when i opened workshop and found peoples conserns.
Although im very dissapointed that we dont have at least one vehicle building zone on the moon, base building zone would be amazing too.
Mirrored RCS thrusters are bugged. Radiators don't come with water anymore, but the tooltip says they are full. Same for the boilers and maybe even more steam related bugs. The new fluid system has some problems. Mixed fluids and gases don't behave as they should. e.g. the gas relief valve doesn't allow for tanks to be emptied, it is as if they act like a variable fluid valve with a very low input value like 0.001. I am not sure, but i think mirroring of gyros and thrusters is also bugged. That are the ones that i found in 2 hours of testing and the onces they already patched are not included. Other players found more.
edit: one more, an important one that i forgot: modular engine cooling manifolds changed their behavior. They used to be 2 separate connections to the internal cooling water tank of the engine, now they act like a pipe. It worked this way a short time after the release of modular engines and the devs changed it to the separate connections behavior. So, i thought it is intentional and used this behavior in many of my vehicles and in vehicles where i helped someone. Who would have thought that there was a need to change it back again after 2 years... That is just random trashing of the work of many players.
I mean it makes sense since you would not build a rocket or base on the moon, rather you would ship it there from earth.
@@TheFishe i know, but its a sandbox. and its difficult enough already. imagine wanting to test some moon vehicle while building it, it will be a nightmare. You might build amazing vehicle to explore moon caves and find out after all that shipping issues that you forgot to connect lights to electricity for example.
@@Adesterr ok thats a lot. i guess as a student i dont have enough time to play to even notice them.
@@nokia3112 There's even more with steam. Those coolant lines now start empty, reactor water evaporates into steam when the rods hit about 300 degrees (according to one person) (and it takes maybe 5 seconds for it all to evaporate). Steam pistons operate at ludacris speeds and extreme torque (and backwards). Water in the coolant lines will also evaporate into steam, which cannot be used as coolant, so boilers struggle with heating up. The issue with the pistons cause the boilers to register NAN for both pressure and temperature. One person reported that turbines drop to 0 RPS when the pressure reaches a specific value.
Ive already made a MMU (Manned Maneuvering Unit) that works well however doesn’t work in space if you try to detach stuff in space it goes flying away the speed doesn’t match up correctly :/
happend to me too. lol
is there any way you could but the improved version on the workshop
Great video as always. but i dont want to be a debbie downer. but i will rather play ksp1 (not ksp2) if i want to go to space with rockets :D or even Space engineers.
You chose the worst time to make this video as like 30 minutes prior they released a patch for the boats and jets.
yeah they really should have released that on the experiemental branch for free for at least a few weeks. Now there is tons of videos already
I don't see how that makes for a bad time to make a video. I think it's awesome this video was posted after the patch to show how that particular bug was fixed already.
Also, was it just ships that abused the buoyancy bug that sunk?
@@cherryholme1I agree, this video shows that the buoyancy bugs were fixed, at least mostly.
About the bugged ships. The ones with pivot glitches were the most affected, but some ships without the pivot glitch also lost buoyancy. I had a large SAR vessel that had the water line like 2 meters higher (sank 2 meters more) than it used to. Thankfully it used ballast tanks previously, so I solved the issue just by emptying the ballast tanks
Space: The final frontier
Cool👍
Is the moon map just the crater on top or can you go to all sides of it?
just the crater but its way bigger than sawyer island. it wraps around
@@ProfNCognito ohhhhhhhh thanks
this DLC is "light years away" from - 'KSP or 'Juno: New Origins' 😅
the seat is using the liquid booster nodes to steer and you didnt even have the throttle on
the preset rocket
i tried to buy the dlc before u make a vid so i wont get spoilers but my card didint work so imma watch it
"A LITTLE BIT of issues with jet engines"
my dude, i love your content but stalling above just 1k is not a little issue
Don't make a carrer series yet. Modular engines overheat way to fast or for no reason🔥
Do you still get like 2000$ when you get a mission to tow a small blue boat to the moon? XD
way more. like $100,000!
I don‘t mean this in a jaded or trolling way, but this is so unrealistic that its off putting to me, i‘m gonna skip this DLC. I bet if you showed this to Scott Manley he‘d burst a blood vessel 😀
hey you should make the HLS Lander or do a Apollo moon mission

Shut it.
@@FlaminXred Stop being jealous lol😂
@@XanderCraft-lw7cv It's not jealousy, I just hate people who think being the first comment is special, like find something original to comment
Never said it was important

That is every bit as jank as I expected it would be. Of all the things they could have done for an expansion picking space has got to be the most idiotic thing they could have done. The engine isn't suitable for it, the mechanics they came up with are unrealistic in the extreme. It doesn't play to the games strengths or benefit the overall gameplay at all. Not to mention, why do space when other games do that better? There's so much low hanging fruit that could benefit the whole game, that adding a whole different thing like this is overtly self destructive. I'm quite done with SW at this point, any doubt in my mind that they have the slightest idea what they are doing ended with the announcement of what they were doing for an expansion.
third?
