Yeah this game was not canon in the story since you can kill Leon and Claire 😂 But there is alot of potential here and some of the assets can be reused. Like Vector and Lupo, they seem good. And maybe some of the spec forces guys
Imagine a resident evil game where you have a free roam off raccoon city and your either play as a RCPD officer or umbrella merc just trying to hold back the dead and all you need to do is survive and have it quite realistic not like this game was.
The concept of this game was so cool, I liked how we got to see through the eyes of the bad guys who knew what was going on unlike the other RE games based in Racoon city
Despite how neither group actually encounters Leon, Sherry, and Claire throughout the main story, this group (Wolfpack and Spec Ops) still deserve to be kept in another resident evil game for future generations. Hopefully, they will make another story line based off of either group.
Unlikely slant 6 the guys who developed the game no longer exist and capcom was not thrilled with its reception (up until umbrella Corp many people considered this the worst resident evil (they clearly never played survivor but whatever))

They do. Spec ops encounter clare first, underground without sherry, rescue sherry then burkin attacks them separating them, next time they encounter those two, they're with leon and escort them to an evac. There's also a couple encounters with jill, nemesis and Carlos. Wolfpack encounters Nikolai a couple times, leon twice I believe, Easter egg with leon and Ada, boss fight with Nemesis and a final fight with leon and Clare with sherry. I played this game too much

Strangely enough sounds aren't as drastic as they are in other zombie fiction, zombies have a strange homing beacon once you are in the same room unless they are eating something or the rare idle zombie

RE:ORC had a great story, great characters, and lots of potential! If they had done it just a LITTLE differently, they could've even had it canon along with RE2. But it was ruined by the constant Gears of War shootouts vs Spec Ops and the zombies each taking a whole clip just to kill...

It was set during the resident evil 2 game cos wen you played with claire n got separated from leon after the truck crash you meat him later on with a gun wound on his arm it never showed you how he got it during the re2 game but on this it shows you how he got shot so this game showed you part of what was going while you was doing other things
I loved this game. Plot was great, there wasn't a constant scrounging for 8 bullets and 4 shells,you got to fight things in both 2 &3 and the knife was actually relevant for once.. Outside of the ending it was fantastic imo.
I know it’ll never happen, but imagine a remake of this game with RE2 remake graphics and mechanics. I’m not sure how gameplay with allied soldiers will happen, but as an Umbrella operator, who has access to more weapons and ammunition, you have to fight much more zombies than Leon and Claire, as well as fight the other nightmarish Umbrella BOW’s. And if you think THAT’S bad enough, when command abandons Wolf Pack, the fights against Umbrella’s POW’s will get increased tenfold as they’re deliberately sending Hunters, Lickers, crimson heads, and even Mr. X after you!
It would be an epic game forsure if CAPCOM revisits ORC and make it a co-op vs how left for dead was and titianfall. Think of the interactions one team...wolf pack vs spec-ops. Both teams run into eachother at the end of the level and who's ever team wins proceeds further in the the story and the team that loses has to restart the level against a new spec-ops team. That would make a hit. Your team killing zombies in beginning going through the lvl. Hearing other gun shots that aren't your teams you knowing full well you can run into eachother at any moment but it doesn't happen till the end of mission. The most intense game I'd ever play.
The biggest program is Crapcom who may be good at remaking someof the older games, but are quite bad in general. I have no real hope for Capcom because they have let me down so many times. :/

I won't lie either, RE: ORC is not the worst game and it did have things that i liked a lot. I especially liked how this was the first 4 player resident evil game we got that...wasnt the worst. Controls were a bit wonky, story is....as you'd expect for a non canon RE game and there were some glitches. But besides those things, this game is still fun to enjoy with other people and the multiplayer was fun too, especially the Heroes V.S Villains mode! So with those things said, I like that they're bringing this kinda formula back with RE:sistance (I think that's the name of it) alongside RE3 Remake so I hope it's good when it comes out. And to those who still think this is the worst RE game.....look up Umbrella Corps....enough said.

I think RE: ORC has potential in getting a reboot or sequel if it's made to play like the Resident Evil 2 Remake. RE ORC's story and characters and the combination of RE 2 Remake's gameplay could make an awesome game.
What’s sad about this is it had all the fine appeal of being badass but it did so many things wrong: • Linear path vs. open world: I was under the impression and expectation they would have went open world. Allowing us to visit all locations reputable to Raccoon City, the RPD, the Hospital, the Clock Tower. Instead they gave us limited options and accessibility and fixed paths that were episodic in nature but carried out like chapters. The same could be said with multiple story paradoxes- killing Leon, Claire, chief irons, Marvin, kendo, etc. A missed opportunity. If they went open world and allowed all that freedom, it would have been supremely better and a huge selling point- especially when people can revisit locations and people who are hard for Easter egg searches. • Lack of customizations: weapons, tactics, skills, tools, all the bells and whistles of a special forces group who are trained in a sense for this shit like the UBSS Delta Team. They did get some things right, but they again didn’t push it further. I mean they are roaming around city and surely they can find stuff to use, or re-purpose. But we are left with stock weapons that really only have advantages in stats vs mods to effect, and of course the gears of war cover stuff. And that’s not including gear and tactics in groups, especially if your playing online and apply a very division like mindset to it that works beautifully in cooperative play or single play. • Enemy pallet: small doesn’t begin to account for it. You encountered a minuscule number of monster enemies- zombies, dogs, lickers, crimson heads, hunters, parasites, and tyrants. Not exactly a huge repertoire of enemies to cycle. And then there is the use of “spec ops”? We never encountered a single sign of military contingents during the timelines of the classic games and suddenly they are popping up all over like a bad rash, bullshit; we wanted monsters. It’s like what they did with alien colonial marines. And they cut down a lot of other monsters from raccoon city. You really can only rehash the enemy types so long before finally it just falls flat.. The game could have been so much more. But- they dropped it short.
When you played multiplayer on xbox360. You remembered one team you always got fucked up by and no matter what you did, you just lost all the time. Everyone use to say, "Don't fuck with the wolf pack". If even one of those guys was on the other team, you were gonna lose. Worst multiplayer experience I ever fuckin' had. Lol
The cinematic looks great! I have the game the new direction they went for is okay but I love the original Resident Evil more. But it would make a great game if you can choose to be a cop, civilian or an umbrella mercenary? Depending on what faction you choose you'll get some certain advancements. For example civilian would be better at salving things from scratch and have different types of weapon that doesn't exist but can compete with the two other factions while cops have to unlock or buy weapons from the police department and umbrella mercenaries get paid a lot and you can choose the weapons you would like but would be way more expensive than the other two factions. I also wished there was a movie about this and flesh out the characters why they decided to be an umbrella operative. I have always liked the resident evil 3D movies with the game characters.
The outbreak in Raccoon City only lasted one night, yet these people don't question what a licker is and just automatically know how to go toe-to-toe with it and they just happen to know that those red smoke grenades thrown at them are going to attract more zombies

The Exile well umbrella already knew about it... Plus he talked about it being a quarantine zone so it's obvious that by the time this was set the military knew about most or some of them
Actually the outbreak in Raccon city started in early september and was finished at the begining of October as far as I recall. It was more than a week from the moment Birkin was shoot and Jill, Claire, Carlos and Leon run away from the city.
NateLB you gatta remember that there were some scientist who first hand created the T-Virus already defected from Umbrella and sold information as well as the T-Virus samples itself. The military were probably already briefed of this.
The fact that Stagla station is such an iconic place like Kendo Gunshop or Spencer Hospital, is just... I'm not that good in english, but what I mean is that Stagla's being named like an easter egg, in every RC Resident Evil game, but the model always is changed
For those bashing this game for not being a survival horror game you completely misunderstand this game. You aren't random survivors .. You're literally Umbrellas elite paramilitary mercenaries who are trained to go in and take down B.O.Ws. So yes this game is an action shooter in Resident Evil 2 timeline, saying that's the reason its a bad game is pretty stupid. I enjoyed the game and think its a solid 7 out of 10. Obviously could of worked on the storyline more but it was still extremely fun running around racoon city during the outbreak and having to fight T-03 tyrants was awesome.

Create a Umbrella mercenaries mode choose to be bravo or Delta Leader and give 3 A.i teammates a new different attire gear and change masks and create a code lists of nick names to the leader and teammates and Hunk code MR Death is the main boss of Alpha team.
Several years later I’m still patiently waiting for it to launch on Xbox One. I really hope to play it again before the next generation Xbox console comes out. Or else we will never see it again.
I dream about a game before, during and after the incident. I love Raccoon city. It will always be the most interessting thing about RE. How a city fell in a matters of a few days. unbeknownst to the rest of the world. It was a chess game between U.S army and Umbrella. The population trapped between both. I'd love a game a bit like L.A. noire. investigation.and the very beginning of the outbreak. The chaos and everything, that is the most interresting part of a zombie apocalypse, not the aftermath. Also not cartoonish like this game. It was cool but not what we expected. Video game industry would make so much more money if they truly listened to fans. We want something in Raccoon city that isn't after the outbreak. I must admit the Re2 remake was awesome, They did an overrall great job.
I really dont understand why this game gets so much hate. Granted, this game wasn't a traditional RE game it was still fun. The environment and zombies looked good too. The gun play and action seemed fairly compatible too.
Undead zombie i beat it and still replay parts of the story, getting the points to unlock every weapon and upgrade, almost got all of the trophys, its shooting is like gta 5 but with zombies.
A lot diss on this game but I loved the new characters and the added story and even a what if scenario of assassinating Leon and completely changing the history of resident evil.
One thing that's always puzzled me... The official story is that the rats were exposed to the T-Virus during the whole special forces clash with Birkin, and that they infected some Raccoon City denizens, which led to the epidemic. But weren't the capsules in the case all G-Virus samples? So why weren't the rats vectors of G, instead of T? Or is the implication that there were T samples in there as well, and that's what the rats came into contact with? I've never had this answered to my satisfaction.
3 years late! But the NEST facility had a different strain than the Arklay facility (they explain this is why you don't see crimson heads during RE2 or RE3) and Hunks team was sent to collect primarily the G-Virus Samples but also the other strain of T-Virus Samples as well! Hope this helps (:

Spec ops existed in RE 3. They have dead bodies in the final room where the rail canon is,among two Mr X bodies and a classic tyrant dead body.
This game was good back in the days. Pure action and online co-op was really dope.
They should of done a S.T.A. R. S. Game defending the City, saving innocents in a open world.

The cinematic looks great! I have the game the new direction they went for is okay but I love the original Resident Evil more. But it would make a great game if you can choose to be a cop, civilian or an umbrella mercenary? Depending on what faction you choose you'll get some certain advancements. For example civilian would be better at salving things from scratch and have different types of weapon that doesn't exist but can compete with the two other factions while cops have to unlock or buy weapons from the police department and umbrella mercenaries get paid a lot and you can choose the weapons you would like but would be way more expensive than the other two factions. I also wished there was a movie about this and flesh out the characters why they decided to be an umbrella operative. I have always liked the resident evil 3D movies with the game characters.

The outbreak in Raccoon City only lasted one night, yet these people don't question what a licker is and just automatically know how to go toe-to-toe with it and they just happen to know that those red smoke grenades thrown at them are going to attract more zombies
NateLB while they definitely shouldn't know how to handle some of these creatures as well as they do, the outbreak in raccoon city lasted a couple of weeks
The Exile well umbrella already knew about it... Plus he talked about it being a quarantine zone so it's obvious that by the time this was set the military knew about most or some of them
Actually the outbreak in Raccon city started in early september and was finished at the begining of October as far as I recall. It was more than a week from the moment Birkin was shoot and Jill, Claire, Carlos and Leon run away from the city.
NateLB you gatta remember that there were some scientist who first hand created the T-Virus already defected from Umbrella and sold information as well as the T-Virus samples itself. The military were probably already briefed of this.

For those bashing this game for not being a survival horror game you completely misunderstand this game.
You aren't random survivors .. You're literally Umbrellas elite paramilitary mercenaries who are trained to go in and take down B.O.Ws.
So yes this game is an action shooter in Resident Evil 2 timeline, saying that's the reason its a bad game is pretty stupid. I enjoyed the game and think its a solid 7 out of 10.
Obviously could of worked on the storyline more but it was still extremely fun running around racoon city during the outbreak and having to fight T-03 tyrants was awesome.

Several years later I’m still patiently waiting for it to launch on Xbox One. I really hope to play it again before the next generation Xbox console comes out. Or else we will never see it again.
I dream about a game before, during and after the incident. I love Raccoon city. It will always be the most interessting thing about RE. How a city fell in a matters of a few days. unbeknownst to the rest of the world. It was a chess game between U.S army and Umbrella. The population trapped between both. I'd love a game a bit like L.A. noire. investigation.and the very beginning of the outbreak. The chaos and everything, that is the most interresting part of a zombie apocalypse, not the aftermath. Also not cartoonish like this game. It was cool but not what we expected. Video game industry would make so much more money if they truly listened to fans. We want something in Raccoon city that isn't after the outbreak. I must admit the Re2 remake was awesome, They did an overrall great job.

I really dont understand why this game gets so much hate. Granted, this game wasn't a traditional RE game it was still fun. The environment and zombies looked good too. The gun play and action seemed fairly compatible too.

The concept, and the characters were GREAT. Gameplay..... not so much...
Undead zombie i beat it and still replay parts of the story, getting the points to unlock every weapon and upgrade, almost got all of the trophys, its shooting is like gta 5 but with zombies.

A lot diss on this game but I loved the new characters and the added story and even a what if scenario of assassinating Leon and completely changing the history of resident evil.
One thing that's always puzzled me... The official story is that the rats were exposed to the T-Virus during the whole special forces clash with Birkin, and that they infected some Raccoon City denizens, which led to the epidemic. But weren't the capsules in the case all G-Virus samples? So why weren't the rats vectors of G, instead of T? Or is the implication that there were T samples in there as well, and that's what the rats came into contact with? I've never had this answered to my satisfaction.
3 years late! But the NEST facility had a different strain than the Arklay facility (they explain this is why you don't see crimson heads during RE2 or RE3) and Hunks team was sent to collect primarily the G-Virus Samples but also the other strain of T-Virus Samples as well! Hope this helps (:
