    Toxic relationships can actually be difficult spot. Here’s how to spot the differences between healthy relationships and toxic relationships.
    We all have relationships. Some are healthy, some are unhealthy, and sometimes, they are abusive.
    Approximately 1 in 4 women and 1 in 9 men experience severe intimate partner violence, and many more experience toxic relationships. Clinical psychologist Dr. Taslim practices in Ontario, Canada, and says that this type of abuse is even more widespread in certain communities - so widespread, that it becomes ingrained in day to day life.
    In this video, Dr. Taslim breaks down the signs of healthy relationships vs. the red flags of toxic relationships, and how to spot them. She shares...
    - The signs of intimate partner violence
    - The types of arguments and emotions that are a normal part of healthy relationships
    - The signs in your emotions and mental health that you may be coping with an unhealthy or toxic relationship
    - The cornerstones of a healthy relationship
    - Specific types of abuse you may not be aware of, such as "economic abuse" and "spiritual abuse"
    - How traditional gender roles may play a role in toxic relationship dynamics
    - The power and control dynamic used in abusive relationships
    And more.
    And more. This education is helpful for those in a marriage, coping with divorce, or even those who are just dating. It's important to remember it's not about you; once you spot the signs, there are steps you can take to improve your mental health and your life.

    It comes down to do you know yourself. If you don’t know yourself, don’t get into a relationship. People are not here to figure you out. YOU HAVE TO FIGURE YOU OUT first! You also have to know what you want so you can decide what is being offered is right for you!

    I just want someone who can clearly communicate their feeling and needs.

    • @wolfferoni
      @wolfferoni 4 роки тому +8

      My relationship ended recently because despite the fact that from the very beginning we both agreed about the importance of communication, he refused to communicate his thoughts and feelings with me so I had no idea why he was acting the way he was. I understand that it can be difficult for some people (especially if they're like me who was never able to talk about how I felt growing up) but the least you can do is try. If you're not even going to try, a relationship can't work.

    • @BooDotBoo
      @BooDotBoo 4 роки тому +7

      After my last relationship, I drop people the MOMENT I realize someone won't communicate, this includes friends. I've learned it's too draining being in contact with people who basically act like you should be able to read their minds (and they become resentful that you can't) or who couldn't care less about what you are communicating to them.

    With me, psychologically abuse was way worse than my physical abusive. I really don’t like the term “intimate partner violence” because abusive relationships can happen between siblings, friends, parents, coworkers, mentors etc. I didn’t recognize a very abusive relationship with a coworker because he wasn’t my partner and it happened at work. Abuse is abuse. It’s power and control. It can happen between anyone.

      to add something else as well. intimate doesnt always mean lover it mean someone close to us such parents, friends and other family. With pysical abuse i could see the scars with the emotional or the verbal I could be convinced that maybe its my fault he didnt mean it the way it came out

    I like how in this they explore a person stepping into asserting themselves more in those smaller decisions. Sometimes who a person is in their nature can cause them to be a more subservient type of person, and this could be compounded by their upbringing, past experiences, etc. It doesn’t always come from the current relationship they are in as being unhealthy. If someone constantly makes themselves small and gives way to what the other person wants and seems to genuinely be okay with that, then I would argue the responsibility rests with them to become more fortified through asserting themselves and what they want/don’t want. A partner can help by being aware of this and asking more questions of course, but if a person chooses to always submit or go along with whatever is going on, they too can rob their partner of the opportunity to gift or serve them.

      I think trust in a relationship is overrated. When my husband started getting frequent night calls , i would ask and he would just wave off those calls as unimportant. At a time i could take no more of his lies, i decided i deserve to know what was going on. A friend of mine referred me to this great ethical hacking team( Cyberhackingsage@gmail ) who helped clone his cellphone without having to touch the device. My husband was a cheating Narcissist and I’m glad i found out all his secrets and infidelity and how he planned on using this pandemic to get back to me. I got access to his Facebook, iMessage, GPS location , WhatsApp, Call Logs and Text Messages (both deleted and incoming ones) with a remote link to a programmed App on my phone. I’m here in Florida and able to access my husband’s phone even while he was away in Canada cheating on me........ Thanks to Cyberhackingsage, now i have enough evidence for my divorce. Something that broke my mind when in therapy was that I was being repeatedly raped by my husband. Scenario was that my saying no was followed by him demeaning me and silent treatment with a enormous pout/sulk. He would paw at me until I gave in... I would lay there hands clinched just to get it over with so he would stop. At the time I never let it enter my mind that this was rape.

    Practicing empathy: If I'm in a new environment, office, department store etc. I log in my mind those that seem to be present, focused and willing to give me the time of day as possible people I want to align myself with, do business with, hire, hang out with, etc. Dismissive people who refuse to ever give me eye contact, a smile or even an acknowledgement and those only massaging the top, I stay away from. I always have a better experience with people higher on the empathy spectrum. Since I also consider myself higher on the empathy spectrum I try to avoid icebergs. Why throw pearls before swine?

    It's petty, but this video confirmed that I was more healthy in my last relationship, despite what my ex was trying to say (he projected a lot), while my ex was very toxic. Makes me more and more confident in my decision to leave.
    And, yeah, during the relationship I had very little idea or knowledge about what emotional abuse was and such, but learning about it after helped answer a lot of questions. It's also sad that I see so many couples with emotional or other types of abuse going on, but because it isn't physical, people and the victim in the relationship excuses it as just "struggling" or something, when they really should get out of the situation. What's worse is seeing others who don't realize it's abuse, telling them to just "stay and work it out because all couples have issues", but these are not normal couple issues. And I used to be right there, telling people to stay and work through it because I thought these WERE normal couple issues. One reason I stayed in my narcissist relationship for so long was because I thought this stuff was normal and he'd reassure me that none of this stuff was as "bad" as I was making it out to be.

    My narcissistic sisters & mother tried isolating me, but I carried on even better without them. That's what took away all their power & the games stopped. Soon they were pleading & begging. But dont fall for the emotional hoovers, you are NOT responsible for their brokenness. Do everything on YOUR terms, say NO often & minimize contact. During contact always use Grey Rock, especially if they cry & make you feel guilty or sorry for them.

I tracked him down and found out he was always going to sleep in another woman’s house with me thinking my husband is always at work for night shift. I believe smartness is essential in any relationship and It is also important to apply wisdom when dealing with our partners. I got help from Genius-Tracker as he helped cloned my cheating wife’s phone and I got access to all her phone Text messages, Facebook, Instagram, Whats-app, Skype, Kik, Twitter, Snap-chat, Email and social media chats without touching her phone. My wife was a cheating Narcissist but I'm glad to uncover her deceits, secrets and Infidelity. All I did was share my wife’s phone number with Genius-tracker and i was able to read her recent and deleted messages from my phone without laying my hands on her phone and she has no idea her phone has been cloned. I was hurt when i saw a picture of my wife and her lover, i felt so bad about infidelity. I’m here in Australia and was able to access her phone while she was away cheating in UK and see all the proofs i needed for a divorce and even terrible things they had planned . He also does hacking of account or any other type of hacking. His services are trusted and guaranteed and also affordable. Contact this Genius-Tracker via Gmail (geniustracker701) or Via Whats-app +1 (724) 330-3252 and you can also text/call him +1 (601) 287-5528. I hope you find peace of mind just like myself after discovering the truth.

    Silm?? What does that mean? Urban dictionary says it is a word for vaginal lubricant...I doubt that's what Kyle means.

    Silme my ex-wife was real nice. Until I went to Finland. She was in complete control. Then one day she saw me as a milquetoast I said, oh no. We ain't doing that. Then I put the fear of God in her.😁🦅 without ever laying a hand on her I said this is what's going to happen. If it goes there. Then I got the hell out of there. I attract narcissists. Like flies to honey Wait, correct my statement. Formally attracted narcissist because my eyes are wide open. Now
