in Today’s topic we will learn how to check Inverter board also knows as IGBT or Compressor Board in LG VRV series 5.
As shown, this is the IGBT Board, here we have three phase ac input supply and these three terminals are dc output to the compressor knows as terminal U, V and W. this is the positive terminal and here is the Negative terminal which we are going to use to check the IGBT Board using multimeter, first set the multimeter on diode mode as shown, now put the black probe of the meter on positive terminal and red probe on U, V and w one by one, in between all terminals you should get the reading from 0.2 to 0.6 volts.
Next step is to put the red probe of the multimeter on the negative terminal and black probe on terminal u, v and w one by one. All the terminals should have a voltage drop from 0.2 to 0.6 only as shown. If the results are within the mentioned range than Inverter board is Good.

Hi Sir,
In a carrier 30 XA chiller, when is there a need to replace an oil level switch ( float switch), can you please explain exactly.

Hello.
The oil level switch works ok dry contact principal. If the oil level is good in the chiller oil level switch contact should be closer.
In case oil level is ok and oil level switch contact is open then replace the switch

@@UATechnicalSolutions Sir, I appreciate your prompt help. I'm dealing with a 30XA0302 carrier chiller. I can't figure out the chiller tonnage as I'm new to it
