- Blind Blake's Diddie Wa Diddie is a blues/ragtime piece that has little to do with the Bo Diddley song of the same name.

The best copy of Blind Blake's playing I've heard and I'm 73...
Thank you great stuff...
I’m gonna be into this song forever! You are a gem Sir!
I'm a brazilian guy and I love blues, specialy delta blues. Congratulations for your talent and job!!
That was some amazing playing, Mr Blake himself would be proud.
Blake is incredible and this is a fantastic performance. Great Job!
Unlike so many, you have a sportin’ right hand.
I'm Bluesguy. This Cover is best i"ve heard. The Groove is fucking amazing like Blind Blake
Man, that is so cool! Great picking and crazy digging the popular music of 100 hundred years ago!
one of my favorite ragtime blues songs. world-class as always Edward!
Damn I remember dad bringing me over to watch you play on the weekends growing up, you have always been my favorite Rockstar lol
Terrific rendition Edward! 👍👍🎸🎸🎤🎤
This must be the inspiration song for Johnny Cash’s Folsom Prison Blues… Great performance, Edward! 👍🏻💙
Always love it when you do some Blake.
I love it. You really got that technique right. Perfect. Which ain't easy as Blake got a "sportin'" right hand.
Good as they come.
Nice job! Have this on my new acoustic album!
Awesome!!
Great job....playing and singing this stuff good is rare.....you accomplished this......sounds a lot like Ry Cooders version to me!
fun watching you nail this nice
well done,,,,, l just played your clip on my double bass
Excellent job! Really dig it!
intricate song, well delivered, as usual !
Soundin' real good, Edward. Thank you.
Most excellent!
I love this!
Really like what you do. So much so I bought the album and love it. Thanks and keep it going.
Great cover! Bravo!
really god! thank you!
Wow! That's really incredible!
Your play and style GREAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You're and your play is amazing
Great picking, love it 👍💕🇸🇪
Nice job with this one, it sounds really good! I've been trying to learn a bunch of Blake's pieces, especially Police Dog Blues and Southern Rag, and a few Charley Patton pieces, like Spoonful Blues. It's so hard to play ragtime pieces on guitar, what with the syncopated picking, dueling melodic lines, and overall feeling and tempo. Piedmont blues is always very cool because I'm from South Carolina myself.
¡ you sure nail it !
Love the song
I am a big fan of the late great Leon Redbone. He covered this and many other songs of this time period. Great performance of this song. Keep them coming Edward. Hope you and yours are doing fine. Any live shows coming up?😊
The first version of it that I heard was by Leon. I had a cassette tape of a Leon Redbone album when I was a kid. My next live show is with my band at a place called Skynnards in St. Geroge SC this Sunday.
Thanks man, cool as
Clean, homie
Mighty fine 👌
Love this song! Would you be willing to cover a Lonnie Johnson song? He is also an amazing guitarist from the 20s
Thanks EP😎
Brilliant playing, great sounding guitar, great feeling. Congratulations! (Can you please tell which Martin model that is...? Thanks)
This is fantastic!
How do you learn all these songs? Do you learn by ear or do you use some kind of support?
Would love to see you cover either Tom Rushen Blues or High Sheriff Blues by Charley Patton.
I love your Channel ❤. Can you also consider Elizabeth Cotten and John Hurt for the early fingerstyle blues songs ?
Proper!
What happened to the forest background?
