A whole era is coming to an end, glad I had the chance to live a part of it.
He is the real deal.....I have and will always be grateful for being woven
Into the music tapestry...... CROSBY, STILLS,NASH...and YOUNG✌️✌️🎶🎼☮️🌄🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈💙❤️🧡💜💛💚💎💎💎♾️peace and love from SUNSHINE 🌞🦋
Part of my life since I was a teen. Music and opinions that made a difference. Lived in SF when they had a house along with the great Grace Slick near Golden Gate Park....What an era...Thank you David.
Sad drugged up life you had , loser
@@brianwilson8983 You don't really think everyone in CA did drugs in 70s-80s do you? Can't possibly be that uniformed. Well yes, you could be...Personally had a respected job with a highly respected nationally known educational company. Drugs were a no, no and smoking was highly discouraged as well.
I loved him in the Byrds and and in Crosby, Stills, and Nash (and with Young), his music will live on. 😥
i wonder why no one remembers Dallas Taylor on drums and Greg reeves on bass on the Déjà Vu album
here is the album

My brother Larry had a mustache like that. Iconic.
How absolutely blessed our entire generation was my God we were the golden generation we had the sun on us in the moon on us at all times we were truly kissed by the universe and God bless each and every musician that made songs for us God bless you all thank you
RIP DC. Thanks for the great music and memories.
🎵🎵🎵🎵🎶🎶🎶🎶CSN&Y we Will carry on............and thank you to our generation of geniuses see you on the other side
What a horrible way to start 2023… RIP Legend. 😭
What a great musician and human being. You will always be remembered for the great music you helped create. Rock on, David. We'll miss you.
We Going to Miss Him, So Sad :(
BTW, he was inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame as a member of the Byrds and Crosby, Stills and Nash, not CSN&Y.
High school in the early 70s, part of my songbook. Young folks today should read the lyrics. The message is greater than the melody.
Flying the freak flag at half mast today, RIP.
RIP David Crosby
Everyone leaves people with memories of them...
But some just leave more people with memories of them....
The reporters on this are too young to actually know anything about the era or Crosby.
I'm 33 and grew up on this music because of my dad. My dad was a teenager in the 60s.
Or that CSNY led the most successful SAVE THE WHALES efforts of any lightbulb with steel strings nearby.
Note:. Crosby was an excellent songwriter, not to undermine that, but the songs sampled in the tribute piece are from Stills and Nash.
@@puppychick08 You aren't one of the reporters.
@@jnagarya519 never said I was. Music doesn't have an age.
Thanks for the music David
2023 is going to be a busy year.☹️1-10-23 Jeff Beck. Now David Crosby 1-19-23. Who's next? 🥀✌️🎼🎤🎸🥁🎹🤘
perhaps... we all together... the bomp is coming clother
He IS back on tour in 2023...he's visiting Beck, Hendrix, Mozart etc!
RIP!
Awesome band✌
Love you David 😢
Had I known he liked Twitter, I'd have joined.
Always wanted to interview him about our eras treatment of women cause he was a deep thinker.
Always enjoyed his Rolling Stone column and all his interviews on myriad topics
More than a musical genius.
He was a good human being.
Stevie Wonder
Marvin Gaye and
David Crosby
Only three males from my generation whose music I need to hear.
Thinking people who write spiritual music.
Those three.imho🤔💯🌹❤️
The Byrds - Roger ( Jim) Mcguinn, David Crosby, Gene Clark , Chris Hillman, Michael Clarke were as Relevant as The Beatles were. They were the ones who influenced Dylan to go Electric and got him into Rock & Pop and made him a Superstar. They took Dylan's Songs and Turbo Charged them into Masterpieces with their Twangling Guitars led by Mcguinn's 12 String Rickenbacher. Tight Harmonies a GREAT BAND. David went on to form Crosby, Stills Nash & later added Neil Young. He will always be remembered. Dennis Hopper based his Easy Rider Character on David. Great Songs with The Byrds- Mr Tambourine Man, Chimes of Freedom. Bells Of Rhymney, Feel A Whole Lot Better When Your Gone. Spanish Harlem Incident, The original version of All I Really want to do., You won't have to cry. We'll meet again. ( All from their Debut Lp) & The Times they are a changing., Lay down your weary tune ( 2d lp Turn Turn Turn) & Title Track.. With CSN/Y - Suite Judy Blue Eyes, Teach Your Children, Our House. Ohio. Woodstock, Dennis will be missed and condolences to his family Shine in The Light Of JESUS 🎸🎙🕇🌷🕊
Graham Nash wrote Teach Your Children.
@@ker3917 Fans know this.Talking about Byrds & Crosby Stills Nash/ Young
EVERYONE IS DIEING LYFE IS CRAZY SHORT
Why not play songs he wrote during his tribute?
Did he take the "Snakes Venom"???
Just going to hear about more famous people dying.
Will never forget the disrespect he showed Eddie Van Halen when Ed passed. Totally classless.
Is anyone NOT a "legend"?
Taylor Swift!
Yea, you and me !
@@King_Colombia_Inc Taylor swift is not a legend
Justin Bieber!
What I'm getting at is that "everyone" is a "legend" regardless how minor their accomplishments. It seems that being a celebrity is sufficient.
81 is long enough,a wonderful exciting life, liver transplant gave him an extra 28yrs.
Meh
I loved the birds but could not stand Crosby...
Why?
No idea of his real talent..
Go and listen to rumbling rap, younger
