Every dji drone is sending the info. That is why the police can find you inmediately at the homepoint.

Nice tutorial. I don't use the DJI app to fly so it won't bug me about updating my drones. Never ever update your drone's firmware unless to fix a real issue. They're always up to install new restrictions.

@@supernova6177 Had that happened once. Now I buy used drones and make sure they're running on a firmware version that allows modifications.
@Ratzfourtyfour there's GOTTA be some way you can force a wipe and install and older firmware version.
what app do u use to fly instead?
@@brucexu5972 I use Litchi. Litchi cannot access all DJI options, so I had to use the DJI app once, but I've made sure it could not connect to the internet.
Will this stop the full telemetry to DJI or just stop to broadcast the ID ?
Is there a recursive or reverseable track ?

@@campandcook3118is there a way to just disable pilot position or the public’s ability to see pilot position. I don’t care about the drone id because things like flight radar exist for planes, I don’t mind the police being able to see that stuff just the public. Thanks!
unfortunately, it doesn't work, mavic 2 Pro on .790 firmware, I don't know if it matters, but the drone is hacked (fcc and NFZ). After executing the python command it returns droneid enable :( tried several times with no result. Perhaps there must be an older firmware?

is it possible to upload a old FW to the drone? or copy the firmware from one drone to another?
Nothing coming up in COM port list with Mini 2. It's connected to PC and I can see the contents of the SD card...

Had to fiddle with some missing python modules though
What's the trick with the modules? been busting my head with this TypeError 'NoneType' is not subscriptable. Did pip pyserial and put its location in PATH.

Hi I have a mini 3 pro, however when I try to activate it it says error and this is because my drone is locked due to it being “lost/stolen” can I bypass this with this tool?

Can you reprogram RID to broadcast thousands of random registration numbers, GPS locations? It can still broadcast your location/etc to remain compliant but no one will know which is the real pilot and location.

@@yodaiam1000 typo. Clearly. You asked a functionality question i.e. if the device can be reprogrammed to broadcast random numbers and locations. You didn’t ask if intentionally reprogramming a drone to broadcast random numbers would maintain its compliance with FAA regulations. If that’s what you were asking, the only way the willful tampering with device firmware to purposefully deceive the FAA could possibly hold up in court is if you have enough money to buy the judge.
@@dans4786 Clearly, I knew it was a typo. Yes, the device can be technically altered. I don't need that answered since it is was very obviously not intended to be a technical question. I want to know if it is legal. I don't think the answer to that question is clear if the device is not manufactured as part of the UAS. There is specific language to not tampering if it is part of the manufactured UAS such as in a DJI. Is there a legal issue with tampering or building your own device as long as it meets all the requirements? Is broadcasting additional information illegal? You don't even have to reprogram or tamper with the device. You can add another device that broadcasts additional information. I don't think lawyers will even know the answer to the question until it is tested in a court room. But if you are a lawyer that specializes in such mater, I would be interested in your answer. If you were just trying to be a smart ass and don't know anything, then your opinion is just as good as any rando.

But in all seriousness, I can't see that it would hold up if for some reason you were discovered. I'm most certainly not a lawyer, but it doesn't seem like a tenable position. I'm more interested in completely disabling all position transmitting, especially considering I'd be operating sub 250g. What's your take on that? Do you fly larger drones?

I am wondering, I am on fw 0.300 on the Mavic. Fcc on, no DroneId. I cannot break the 500 meters limit, due to software issues. MY question is: if I'd upgrade the firmware, would it keep the mods working ? or I loose them... thank you a lot Sir.

I purchased a Mavic Air 2S from EBay but I’m getting an error on the DJI Fly app that says
“Aircraft bound to another account. Change account and try again.”
I tried to reach the seller and no response. Is it possible to “unbind” the Air 2S from the previous owners DJI account?

You got scammed. they should have unbound it for you. At the very least, the seller was extremely negligent. The newer DJI drones bind to an account and have very limited functionality for anyone else trying to use it.

Nothing on go4 has remote id of it does its so weak nobody could pick it up
Any way to make sure its working? All drone id features no longer work? They cant get a take off point? They cant get serial number or email? They cant get the location of the drone as it flies? What do they see?

Port 5 is korrekt and i have start cmd as administrator - but still this error: serial.serialutil.SerialException: could not open port 'COM5': PermissionError(13, 'Zugriff verweigert', None, 5)
Even if droneid is disabled to prevent dji from spying on and knowing where you are, surely they still know where you are via the app if youre conected to the internet ?

The hack is work but is reset after no time after I turned on the Smartcontroller then everything off again and the drone turned on again and the ID was there again hmm ?!
