Could listen to Lemmy all day... Honest, humble, witty, insightful, engaging, funny, wise, unprejudice, unpretentious.. the list goes on... Love the bloke
the guy was as real as it gets, typical working class bloke, and came with no bullshit. definitely should have got more recognition for his ability to write great lyrics too.
RIP Lemmy. One of the most genuine and real rock players you'll ever see. They were my first concert as a kid and I saw them many times afterwards. Old legends never die. They just get louder.
This interviewer is perhaps the most boring, clinical and utterly blase of any interviewer I've ever seen. Hard to detect much enthusiasm for his subject at all. Only Lemmy, by being Lemmy is able to salvage this interview and thank God for that.
Lemmy was a witty, rude, straightforward, street-grown philosopher. His view on how our civilization operates was very accute. And he was so fucking funny.
im really gonna miss going to Motorhead shows & Lemmys interviews. he was one of a kind & will be missed forever. born to lose, live to win. hope youre sleeping well...
damn that was a great interview! I didn't expect it, resally. the interviewer knew how to interview Lemmy...you know what I mean? normally they look either confused or starstruck....that was good.
Lemmy was the best rhythm guitarist ever. He just so happened to play rhythm guitar on a Rickenbacker Bass. Not to mention his "wonderfully unique" vocals. R.I.P. Lemmy 🤘
Lemmy just walked to the studio totally unready and recorded .... those were the real deal talents ... I love him and his personality, I love his Wild West Southern Army Rebel style , he’s definitely legendary
He was still healthy here even though his voice was weakening and he was shorter of breath. His health began to noticeably decline about a year after this interview (starting in late 2011/early 2012). He maintained his bodyweight until Spring 2013 and then he began to lose weight from the cancer.
talking with alemmy drinking a little bourbon and Coke for an hour at aA toppless bar I recomended when ahe said"There must be someplace aound here going on better than this and I saw the others in a plain but clean bbackstage room at The Celebrity Theater in Anahiem CA. I said to Lemmy I understand Motorhead is labled hard rock or Metal for god reason. I being a Ge X surf punk cthink Motorhead has a good punk influence or sound . The good punk rock where the music is tight and you can understand the lyrics. Not the thrash stuff. Lemmy smiled and nodded yes. RIP Ian Fraser/Lemmy Killmister Nicknamed God. I believ he is in the better place He had good morals loved his fans because they kept him making and performing music. He loved doing that. Dud it well and untill the end. He talked to me like a friend without a rockstar attitude. I will never forget it and it helps me be a beyyrt person I think RIP
+Vonaefect Yeah, he got hit pretty hard with old age in the last few years.. My old mans favorite band so fortunate he got to see them once in 2011 while Lemmy was still healthy. Rest in Peace. Razor sharp til the end
Vonaefect it’s true ... he didn’t aged much even in his 40 he looked like the others young ones that was coming in the 80’s like Metallica and Guns’n’Roses he looked just like one of the others kids .... but then he aged tremendously in 5 years just like you’ve said .
"What advice can you give when you're like 63 to someone who's 24? You can't give them any advice. The mistakes I made don't exist anymore."
It would be very easy to let that bit go over your head. I also went to comment this. Props

the guy was as real as it gets, typical working class bloke, and came with no bullshit. definitely should have got more recognition for his ability to write great lyrics too.
Johnny Rotten selling acid at a Hawkwind concert is an amazing visual.

Agreed... I don’t get all the infatuation with this deadbeat drug fool
Lemmy was a witty, rude, straightforward, street-grown philosopher. His view on how our civilization operates was very accute. And he was so fucking funny.

Lemmy was the best rhythm guitarist ever. He just so happened to play rhythm guitar on a Rickenbacker Bass.
Not to mention his "wonderfully unique" vocals.

Such a difference between here and 2015.

Lemmy the true essence of Rock N Roll personified. They'll never be another he was of a past time that's gone.

I've only had one Motorhead t-shirt. I 0wn all their albums. Lemmy is God
@stringmask Not at all, he has sounded like that forever.
What happened to him in like 5 years? He seems very fine on this interview, but 5 years later he looks like he's 90 years old..
+Vonaefect well lets see.. Cancer, old age, drinking heavily with diabetes, probably a minor stroke.. take your pick.
+Vonaefect Yeah, he got hit pretty hard with old age in the last few years.. My old mans favorite band so fortunate he got to see them once in 2011 while Lemmy was still healthy. Rest in Peace. Razor sharp til the end

Well he actually sounds out of breath a lot of the time in the later years, when he talks he always sounds knackered.
It's called cancer
Brilliant lyricist

I Miss Lemmy...you know

Yeah but he was stuck in his mid-40's physically from his late 20's through to roughly the year before he passed away.
