It's Amflow's 1st bike yet they knew to keep the cables and hoses out of the headset unlike "established" brands who seemingly have no clue..... Incredible bike!
Hi Gee, Great insight to the bikes build mate. I've got the silver pl version on order, due any time now. I've had confirmation that they arrive this week to my bike shop. I'm swapping out parts when I get it. Zipp moto carbon wheelset, with Magic Mary and Big Betty. XX T Type transmission along with Code stealth Ultimate Brakes and rotors. AXS Reverb dropper. My question is the motor and battery would need to be dropped out in order to feed the hoses? I want to remove the dropper cable as obviously not needed. But I would like to fit the battery powered AXS lead for the rear mech. Where does this attach when the motor is out? Is there a connection for it ready as there is with the pl pro version? Would really appreciate your guidance if you can help. Many thanks again pal. I always enjoy your work. Ps I've ordered the rideweap protection for it too. Will install everything myself as I love building bikes also, with as much attention to detail 👌👍
@@georgeforeman89yeah I think it's not possible to route the cables /hoses with the motor and battery in place. I don't need the dropper cable with the reverb axs. Would like to fit the sram axs power cable but not sure the length as its supplied @ 780 or 955mm. Common sense would say 780mm. Just need confirmation that it plugs into one of the 4 cables from the motor? The PL Pro comes with it, so again one would expect that it's there but not used on the PL gx version 🤔 it's a pricey part for what it is and don't want to order the wrong one 🤔
Hey there dude, sorry it took a few days to reply! You made a great choice with ordering that bike and those are some absolutely perfect upgrades, you really couldn't do it better than you have! It is an incredibly well made frame, amazing interface and tech, you're going to LOVE it! Great idea to get it RideWrapped! Yes you will need to remove the motor and battery but fear not, this is super easy, probably the easiest of all EMTB's we've worked on, there should be a port for the AXS cable! Let us know how you get on!
@@GeeMilner brilliant thanks Gee. Really appreciate this and your much valued insight into the quality of this bike, along with my upgrades. Can't wait 👍 do you think the shorter of the 2 cable lengths will be okay or better to go with the longer one ahould there be enough space to hide the extra cable. Many thanks again pal.
I don't quite get it this time. The bike is delivered 90% assembled, so you took it apart just to build it back? I've noticed you've switched brakes. Is anything else different? Since you had it in pieces, did you weigh bare wheelset?
Why would he weigh them? Generally, mountain bikers aren’t weight weenies. Especially because this is an e-bike. A few hundred grams is meaningless on a 1000 watt ebike. This is a brand new leading edge bike that many are curious about. I’m sure he didn’t need to disassemble the whole thing, but they made a really cool video showcasing a bike many are interested in. It’s also interesting to see how easily it’s assembled. I thought there would be a lot more messing around with the motor mounting and battery.
Hi there! First of all thanks for watching and thanks for engaging! Whilst the majority of the bikes we build up in the workshop and feature on the channel are totally unique, custom builds. Bike brands these days are also starting to spec 'top end' bikes to the point where there really isn't much/anything we would change. It's very different to 15 years ago when you would buy a bike and the wheels would be shockingly bad and you'd be getting a wider set of bars on it instantly, top spec bikes are really, really good. Think how far components have come, remember how terrible wheels used to be! We were provided with the PL Carbon PRO model and honestly, there isn't much we would change on this bike, as I said in the premiere live chat, the OEM finishing kit such as stem, bars and wheels really impressed us. Normally OEM stems and bars that come on bikes with huge price tags from some of the biggest bike brands in the world are terrible, really roughly CNC'd or rough media blasted, usually weigh a tonne aswell! The stem that came with this model was stunning, really nice CNC quality and just a stem we would install on a Dream Build. Of course we could have gone crazy with a wild spec on this bike but honestly, the spec provided and available to you, the consumer is really, really good! We love FOX factory suspension, Maxxis tyres and Magura brakes, alongside SRAM AXS gears. So we decided to keep to the original spec, maybe we might create a different spec version in the future but I think with the bike being of huge interest to our audience as a new release of the brand, bike and motor system.. sticking with the 'stock' spec is not a bad thing, especially when it's so high! Sorry for the long winded response!
@@georgeforeman89well, maybe you are not, but I am and I know a lot of mtb riders that like to ride lightweight, fast accelerating, nimble bikes. Wheels are one of the most important components, which noticeably change the way you feel the bike.
@@ckaper78 Weight def matters in some areas! I've had a full power levo and now have a Heckler SL but I've built it up to be more enduro so it's like 46 lbs.. so it would be nice to see what it actually weighs vs what is being promoted. I think it's promoted at 46lbs stock with the 800wh battery. The 600 is supposed to be 44lbs I believe.. Again, stock.. those numbers change depending on what's on the bike (clearly)..

Almost certainly they have to come out. Notice that he didn’t put the motor and battery back on until he routed those hoses/cables.

How easy you put tires on rims keeps blowing my mind every time, I feel weak watching you ....
I guess we are used to do it with how many bikes we build every year!

Again, did you have opportunity to check their weights?
