I was wondering if that was Malloys band, or just a stock band various singers played with? For example "Rock & Pop Masters has a great stock band that has various former lead singers of top groups that play events. There standard lead guitarist is Jerry Riggs who is great and can play any type of music.

Man I'm truthfully giving a educated comment, I am a very big EVH AND VAN HALEN fan, I have never heard this guy until now but if the Van Halen bros. would have went with this guy instead of Gary this could have been epic. He does V. H. music proper, nails it. but Dave's back and it's ok now but if Dave starts slipping, well I know where a good front man is, Mitch I started not to even watch but there was free stuff and you had my arm bent so that saying, you were cut for this stuff you kill it man very good stuff.

..yep..and all because they were screwing around with DLR..they never should have revisited that boat, IMHO, regardless of how much certain fans b*tched to get him back....just moved forward after Sammy, just like they moved forward with Sammy after Dave..and Mitch would have been the right one..a great singer who had his own style, not trying to emulate Sammy like Gary did, whether it was intentional or not..and, the moment they brought back an aging DLR, Van Halen stopped being a relevant band, and became a nostalgia band, IMHO...

@@Painless50 Yes & no, as he only quit because he believed DLR was back in the band because of the MTV awards where he went on stage with VH to give an award. I'm sure he thought it would be inevitable they'd choose DLR over him just from a lucrative commercial standpoint. Of course Mitch would not want to be part of the freak show, and he decided to stay clear. Considering all the turmoil with the band in the coming years, he most likely made the right decision.

He is playing at a music festival with 3 guys he has not played with often, or at all. So whenever I see stage performances by Legends of Rock, I always cut everyone up on stage a little slack, as it takes time for any group to grow into themselves. Putting a bunch of players together, no matter how good they are individually, will never be totally in sync until they work together for a period of time.
Sammy was a different kind of singer, raspy, bluesy but a little more refined on the more commercial sound than DLR and that's what VH a little more radio savy. DLR was a little more raw and that was great for them too. Both were extreme compliments for the band and I enjoy both but these days VH have become nothing but drama queens of Rock. Hell man even Mark Anthony fell victim to Eddies wrath.

Come on now, VH did great with Hagar, and even if you prefer DLR, he did mediocre as a solo artist. Have the VH brothers and Michael Anthony combined with David made VH great. Thus DLR IS NOT VAN HALEN!
I guess the other guy with the same last name on drums isn't? What about the great bassist Michael Anthony who also has a great voice. Top that off with Sammy Hagar showing VH could be successful without Dave, and you realize how good they were with two great former front men. I think Mitch could have been the 3rd, whether he was as good as DLR - SH or not.

..yep..and all because they were screwing around with DLR..they never should have revisited that boat, IMHO, regardless of how much certain fans b*tched to get him back....just moved forward after Sammy, just like they moved forward with Sammy after Dave..and Mitch would have been the right one..a great singer who had his own style, not trying to emulate Sammy like Gary did, whether it was intentional or not..and, the moment they brought back an aging DLR, Van Halen stopped being a relevant band, and became a nostalgia band, IMHO...

@@Painless50 Yes & no, as he only quit because he believed DLR was back in the band because of the MTV awards where he went on stage with VH to give an award. I'm sure he thought it would be inevitable they'd choose DLR over him just from a lucrative commercial standpoint. Of course Mitch would not want to be part of the freak show, and he decided to stay clear. Considering all the turmoil with the band in the coming years, he most likely made the right decision.

This Sounds not tight to me. Seems Like the lead voice is not with the band.
He is playing at a music festival with 3 guys he has not played with often, or at all. So whenever I see stage performances by Legends of Rock, I always cut everyone up on stage a little slack, as it takes time for any group to grow into themselves. Putting a bunch of players together, no matter how good they are individually, will never be totally in sync until they work together for a period of time.

Sammy was a different kind of singer, raspy, bluesy but a little more refined on the more commercial sound than DLR and that's what VH a little more radio savy. DLR was a little more raw and that was great for them too. Both were extreme compliments for the band and I enjoy both but these days VH have become nothing but drama queens of Rock. Hell man even Mark Anthony fell victim to Eddies wrath.
