- i find it Unique ! it's the only miracle worker that has attract fire and Supression barrage ! as a miracle worker means it can do really good dps with it's extra console and mixed armement and still tank with supression barrage and attract fire ( no other miracle worker has this combination "SB+AF")! ,
- i believe the princetone is the perfect ship for Random TFOs ! you go in blind not knowing you gonna find a tank or if your team have enough dps !!! with princetone you will dishout the dps needed and tank if needed

Thansk Gauss. I've always like MW spec because I like doing creative and odd things "theme builds" and "off-meta" as the community would call it; and MW has consistently been the best specialization for that, since the extra universal console and MAS make platforms more flexible to whatever I'm doing and focus my damage in a lot of different directions.
I like the Princeton, it's a solid performer that I plan on putting a all around build on it for Random Elites.

I'm the opposite I like the looks of the Niagara even with that 3rd nacelle more. I'm still pooing on & not buying this bundle but after watching yours & others' reviews I don't mind admitting it has some good enticing elements. I don't need mostly "meta" in any bundle, but since I can only pilot 1 ship at a time I search for something distinctive I don't already have while seeking enough value. I don't see enough value in this bundle for myself, but I'm okay being in the minority & keeping my wallet closed.
The Niagara Class is one of those ships I've wanted them to add for years.

I am not getting the Princeton...not because it sucks, Im not getting it because I have lots of options in this area. Between the Styx, the Lexington and the 10th Anniversary bundle I think I have Tank and Miracle worker cruiser covered. Tempted due to the unique nature of a MW ship with attract fire and SB. Dat third nacelle though....

I like the balanced review. To my eyes the whole ship aesthetic is great apart from that third nacelle. I’m at the stage where a ship needs to bring something to the table that I want and have room to use and, as I am going the T6 token route, that is why no Chekov or Princeton for me

I chase DPS on my own way, but am definitely not an elite player. I actually got the Princeton and so far I think it's pretty fun. I haven't tried the console though, because I don't like the idea of damaging myself. I might give it a whirl though just to try it now.

Nice vid. I couldn’t afford the bundle, so it came down to the Princeton or the Ahwahnee. Once I worked out I could have a T6 Constellation class carrier, my purchase was a no-brainer.
Tbh though, I’ve never really gone after META. For me it’s always been 1: is she fun to fly, 2: Can I make big explosions, 3: Does she look canon or close to it?
The sad fact is that in STO every ship IS either meta or garbage. The reason for this is because everything costs a lot of money, and they have decided that 90% of the CONTENT we get is in the form of new cash shop and gamble box space ships rather than you know actual missions.
So if a new ship (which is considered content remember) is not worth buying, its considered garbage and people get upset. The best way to make something worth buying is to make it either look really fucking cool, or give it a smidge of power creep. There are other ways, like just giving really interesting bridge officer combinations and good console slot layouts, but those are honestly the most rare for some reason.
So yeah when one normal C-store ship (they're content!) costs half the price of a brand new AAA game its not a surprise people judge them harshly, and that's saying nothing about the INSANE legendary/mudds bundles which cost 5x OR MORE than a brand new AAA game and which are packed with ships you probably don't want but you have to buy anyway because its the only way to get that ONE SHIP you really do want. Its insane that this community has allowed, and more than that has come to actually welcome this kind of treatment, but here we are.
Those of us who play because we just love Trek are screwed by the whales, and Cryptic never fix anything because the whales don't care if the servers work or if certain costume pieces have made your character's torso invisible for over a decade, they will never fix those things because the whales buy the bundles regardless.
Your comment at the end, the jab at Borticus' and his stupid statement about not all ships being special cuts right to the heart of the issue. All ships must be special because all ships cost the same amount. The shitty ships don't come with a discount, and many times you're stuck with them because they're bundled with the ships you actually want and can not be unbundled.
edit: sorry for ranting, was just talking about the very early days of the game with some friends on discord and got nostalgic and a little upset at what the game turned into. We had such high hopes, and they came crashing down into greater depths than we could have possibly imagined.
The Isomag's are Crypitic's way of driving a wedge in the player base. So now we got players that where doing major amounts of DPS in LOW tier TFO. Doing insane amounts of DPS in the same tier after getting these. That is not only unfair to casual players. But players who always draws Cryptic's short stick. I am not bothering with them. Because my build already doesn't perform they way it would for everyone else. Why waste my time just to get zero increase in performance?

I'd buy a meta Vor'cha or Negh'var!! But, NOT if it's locked behind a bundle of yet 2 or more other Federation ships! Looking at you 11th anniversary bundle! I want that Vor'cha and ONLY that Vor'cha. Not paying for the rest...
I honestly feel like it has a moderately nice look to it, Even with the third nacelle. I honestly feel like the 25th century variant of the chyene class is weird I was expecting it to look a lot less like a mix of the constellation class, and chyene mixed together And more like what they did with the Atlantis class and the Lafayette class with the oval shaped saucer section. I was hoping that it would be like this. One guy predicted it would be with being a heavy flight deck cruiser. I was honestly a little bit disappointed with it and confused
I'm still hoping for a Tactical Nebula.....no more 3/3 weapons.

If they can turn heavy cruiser Cheyenne into a science carrier, there is hope. Or maybe just another science spearhead/warship

Other than the silly third nacelle I think it's a nice enough looking ship, and it's still way nicer looking than the old MW cruisers.
I tend to go for ships I like the look of, but then again I also like to not use bridge officer abilities and pick off targets one by one while flying alongside them with a broadside. is it optimal? no. Is it efficient? no. Should I expect other people to play to this style? no. But is it cinematic, yes, and do i have fun doing it? yes I do.
As someone who was hoping for a good tanking platform or at least good tanking trait/console the Princeton being the "tanky" option was a letdown tbh.
Yes Yes Yes I love this being review meta and DPS chasing can be an issue and one thing for people to remember when getting silly/crazy DPS its usually one of a few things 1. There is another 3-4 people buffing them and attacking nothing or 2. They have done Dozens of TFO runs to get the perfect conditions for it because its a controlled environment. 3. Time as the standard way DPS is measured is time.
Meta Glass Cannon Build: TFO lasts 30 Seconds and deals 1 million Damage and recorded as 1 million DPS but all click are now on cooldown
TFO that's time gated last 10 minutes deals 100k DPS and dies once
Non-Meta Build: TFO lasts 2 minutes and deal 1million Damage but as was 4 time longer is measured as say 250k DPS
TFO that's time gated last 10 minutes deals 250k DPS and never dies - better why? because the meta is designed as Kill enemies before they even have a chance to hit back but are not always as useful in longer content.
PVP Build in PVE - Same sort of thing here is a PVP build going to hit the hardest not always but the survivability is so much higher its unlikely they will ever die in PVe content.
I am not saying the above it accurate just an example but the time it take to finish an activity or how long a parser is active affects the DPS numbers allot as enemies have fixed HP values and overkill is included in parsers as valid DPS.
The Trait is good when it works but would need to always be at around 40-50% hull as well as a higher hull to get the most out of it which can be difficult to do. I ended up having to push to elite patrols with no shields equipped to successfully trigger and test effectively.
The console is where it shines because even if you never used the clicky if you combined the Healing passive with another console like the passive from the hull image refractors it works great. Hull image lets you over heal where integrity bleed increases healing the lower your hull so it is a great back and fourth between the two. Now radiation builds can be a thing as helps things like soliton wave impeller or the Tholian warp cores crystal damage as well as genesis seed.
So a console that deals radiation damage can be a big boost in these types of builds, it seems effort was put into this with the synergy between the console and trait from the same ship and I celebrate when this happens as its rare but just hit the make. Maybe rather than below 90% it was in general so if temporary healing from say best hope of the empire or Hull image passive it still wouldn't be a meta trait but would be a viable one.
Science and Torpedo build aren't niche its just that they do take longer to accumulative resources for rather than defaulting to Beams or Canons. Why be meta if you can still do the same content but your way ;)
Comment for the algorithm .. also, not at this level of gameplay yet, but having another ship that is simply "good" is fine with me, I'm not a maxxed-out stressed-out gamer.
I'm gaming to relax and have fun, not try for the nth degree of some online stat that won't pay the bills anyways. YMMV, of course.
i feel like there could be a tank build where you could out heal the Fractal integrity bleed's radiation damage if done right.
I tried this with the kobali console and didn't have much issue with the self-damage afterwards.

A valid reason not to buy anything, but if you are buying all of them it starts to make sense... Especially if you wait for a bundle sale
I'll pass on the bundle since I'm trying to save up enough to get the 11th for the Excelsior and Ambassador, but I might use some T6 coupons I have to get some of the ships individually.
This is truly saying something that you are passing up on this bundle for the bundle that was so poorly recieved they had to put Lobi in it as a bribe timed with a 50% off Lobi sale to tempt people into buying it.
It's actually a decent Cruiser but yeah most people are just going to poop on it.
If it doesn't have a hangar bay then I don't have so much interest, I like my hangar bays hehe

Man, that ship is just so fucking hideous. I certainly agree that they did a nice job making the 25th century skin less of an eyesore, but i just hate the design in totality. Not Cryptics fault here.
Stull waiting on a decent Sovereign though. The Legendary is a good ship, but i was hoping for something closer to the Connie IIIs layout. Now that the store is overly saturated with MW ships though...bleh.
