This is my main characters ship. Love this ship. Using the Awhani pets for the debuff. Radiolytic phasers. 42% crit chance with over 200% crit severity. Spent a lot on getting ships just for traits and doffs and the superior romulan officers and a couple of watchers. Beam overload with kemocyte laced weaponry. As well some of the sick personal space traits. Intelligence agent attache. Terran targeting. The overcharged weapons off the one xindi ship. I think I'm using 5 ISO mags. I love this ship. It's a beast. I melt cubes in elite HSE

may not be the "best" ship in game, but it's sure one of the top 3 free ships ingame.

As a long time Trek fan, I joined STO on day one of launch (as a lifetime sub). I've been in a Trek PC clan since the days of SFA (Starfleet Academy by Interplay) and the guys in the clan have a decent PvE/PvP presence in STO (Task Force Phoenix), yet I still cannot get into this game. It always feels like a giant cash grab and videos like this make me not want to waste my time when really good MMO's like Guild Wars 2 exist. For all the legit complaints about ArenaNet, I feel like they at least know the majority of their customer base is there based on the good will they have created and curated. I think STO has been passed around too much (devs) and is simply looked at as a cash grab by whoever recently holds the publishing rights. What a shame for a show about a future where everything is not monopolized and turned into cash grabs.

In STO you won't have fun unless you gamble.

With the TX-2 upgrades and focusing on DPS/Speed, it's absolutely amazing.. I'm specing for Phasers, with loads of DPS/speed boosts, plus passives for moar speed = moar damage. It's an excellent flank exploiter and puts a lot of damage on big targets.

Wish this game could dissapear for good. Its one of the most broken things ive ever seen in 20 years. Cryptic does NOTHING to fix anything at all, they release broken things over and over again and they dont g1ve a f1ck, the forums are a pure joke, you have moderatos there that are disgusting, they flag as TROLLING every single piece of comment line that says something bad about cryptic. The eng heavy consoles make it a great hanger banger. Good for lazy gameplay where your not really worried about top performance but want to contribute DPS from distance without TO MUCH thought .

I bought a Lifetime subscription way back in Beta, so It's worth it to me. I don't play often, but I get a slow trickle of in-game currency to spend whenever I do log in.

OK as far as the monetization. Seriously? It's a business!!! Nobody is forcing you to spend money, it's a TOTALLY free game and you can get a LOT of good stuff if you just learn how to play. I make TONS of money in game from the exchange but crafting and selling item from the crafting mechanics and they cost me NOTHING but playing time. I have made BILLIONS on the exchange selling crafted items and flipping cheap ships. Most of my ships have come from the exchange. You get free ships to play up to level 40 so it's not like you're in a level 1 ship your whole time playing. There are events that you get free ships and I mean GOOD ships. You can make money on the exchange and buy ships and equipment plus you get good equipment sets from some of the missions as well. Are there things you can drain RL money on, of course there is BUT you don't have to. The game is VERY functional w/o spending a penny.

I have been playing STO for a LONG time 10+ years and I have seen some small bugs but NOTHING like what this guy is talking about. As far as the aesthetics the space combat is still VERY good, the ground combat scenes have always been the weakness of STO and that's still the case but it's functional. It certainly isn't BAD. This game is updated regularly and has a lot of GREAT content. Is it still good in 2024 well I still play so YEAH!

Somtimes selling lock box key for few M cheaper, they usually gone in 10 sec flat. Its actually sad.

I like to see ST to look and play some what, like the new X4 Space Games and it would be good to do ship battles from the bridge too!

i haven't played it since delta rising season. I wish to come back for the stories wich i find very entertaining; the unique ships play style ( back then 10 years ago got some amazing pvp moment ) But it's really hard to know what you need to do. You're bait in neverend grind to gain a currency ( wich you don't know how to use it ) , or some gambling lootbox.

Have an updated build for this old ship you'd recommend? it was my first t6 buy and still my main ship. I dont have the equipment yet to set up another ship, still pluggin away on this one.

I have that issue very often where you toon character appears out in space. Support does not seem to know anything about it when you contact them and I went as far as going through a new install. They are not very good at troubleshooting known issues but many players.
