jordan’s house was really interesting! there’s a lot of metaphors and the art of puppetry was a really cool format to use. alot of these were new to me and i’ve been into ARGs and internet horror for well over a decade now.
Jordan Underground/Jordan’s House was a fantastic character study ARG of what seemed to just be an emptuber reviewing horror games, with a very good sense of humor, and became a descent into madness inspired by Yume Nikki, a game he reviewed and in which his descent was foreshadowed.
Grizzled internet veteran / pedantic grandma chiming in to say that video editors with the capability of adding drop shadowed text to videos were definitely a thing (and that effect would have been pretty easy to do) in 2003.
Amother early ARG, from 1984 was the Cadbury's Conundrum, which featured a lovely picturebook with poems that contained all the clues to 12 golden eggs (with a value at the time of £10,000), only a couple of the eggs were found (it seems put was more a token to exchange for the egg, as the Cadbury's company seemed to posess the remaining eggs before possibly melting them down), the competition was stopped earlydue to fears of vandalism of historical monuments in the search
The first video uploaded in the first arg looks like a location from a another video I’ve seen It was some cheap jumpscare video where a creature ran to the side of that white building, the same side the guy came out of and after the people ran up to it it was standing there right up in the camera and made a loud noise being the jumpscare
I think your channel would make a awesome video covering the topic of "The Haunted PS1 demo discs" one of them has a interactive hub level as a menu and u explore a trippy place to find each demo, solving puzzles etc. then there's a handful of psychological trippy horror games on the disc. It's really uniquely done and deserves to be covered. I'd love to see game devs come out with more stuff like that. A lot of modern games are missing the mark/spending so much money/just to create a piss poor product compared to the games we used to get during the ps2/xbox era. I miss that aspect of gaming
Sadly I think the Ryoma Arg was abandoned and the immersion was ruined, very disappointing and sad to see. It was good while it lasted. Also I love your channel this is my first video i’ve seen but I really liked it I subscribed. I love how in depth you go into the videos and how you don’t break the immersion. Keep up the good work 👍
I’m Dad, 5th gear wide open is probably about riding the motorcycle. 5th gear is generally the highest gear in vehicles (letting you drive the fastest) and wide open throttle which is generally seen as having a feeling of freedom with bikers. So I think “5th gear, wide open” means he wants to be free
For POSTcontent i feel like you missed some things like how easygo wasnt bad they were truely trying to help the MC but he hated himself so much that it turned his mind into hell or the fact that the faceless lady was ab actual living being who would be "decommissioned " if they failed
