@@ucc6166 how is a transit van a fall back plan ? Can’t pull a trailer other than a little cargo or boat trailer. There’s to much distance between the axle and the rear bumper to carry anything heavy or long. And they have Diesel engines in them also.
Transit van 250 have gas engines. They have diesel options in 350s as well as gas. And also the Mercedes sprinter vans are the ones who have only Diesel engines. Check out the transit high roof 250. I made 7k in a week and I wasn’t even organized in my load picks.

@@wh8085 Yes it's only for 4X4s, it's the transfer case shifter. It's all under the truck. It takes a little contortion with the wrists wrapped around the drive shaft, but only 15-20 minutes. The 2 times mine has fallen off I've been in 2WD High when on the road. Must be my clean living.

On that old Ram… 1. If a diesel is tight and you got one good battery it’ll fire. 2. Running like that, with those miles, I’d buy that all day. That little bit of crispiness under the hood would just be a little project. I’d get that before the Denali, and the Denali is nice.
Lose power or ground wire somewhere . I'm building a 2 Gen Ram 12v Cummins dually Tow Pig.... Love the Cummins dually and 2500 for daily driver lmao. I have a single cab dually now , so I can't wait to upgrade my 3 kids to a Crew cab.
The 3rd gen ram are notorious for passenger battary over charging and catching fire due to high resistance in the crossover cable going to the driver side battery the ECM pulls the voltage from the driver side battery and if the ECM sees that the voltage is too low it just keeps on pumping out from the alternator causing the passenger side to overcharge had a buddy have this issue on his ram his also called fire luckily was able to get it out
I owned a 3rd gen Ram and I’ve never heard about this “notorious” overcharge situation and fire. I still own a 2nd gen 12 valve with a little over 325’000 miles on it. Both trucks were/are incredibly reliable but the 3rd gen only had about 80k on it when I decided to sell it. I prefer the power and simplicity of my 12 valve vs the 24 valve after I turned the pump up on the older truck.
@@erikkovacs3097 your right it would but it's a over time issue I've measured mine when having issue the alternator pushed out 15volts but after 14.7 going into the passenger battary going into cross over cable then had just above 12 coming out going into the driver side battery the ecm is reading the voltage on this battery it's telling the alternator charge like hell cooking the passenger battary the issue is with the stock cross over cable is condensation within the sheathing over ten years causes the copper to corrode within the wire it self causing high resistance in the line itself the fix is to buy a new crossover cable and don't cheap out
9:35 Bet money the Denali that smells like “ass” from a slight mildewy smell had some water in it from one of our “light” storms in this state. People with pickups here think their trucks during storms turn into boats, hence the reason they go through flooded areas.

TK that Ram looks like a good buy, patch up the loom and an engine bay detail, maybe get a new or 2nd hand engine bay harness just to be on the safe side.

Just came across your channel. The ram they might've backed a boat into a lake without unplugging it & water got into the electrical system & shorted out the truck causing it to catch fire.
All newer diesels have emissions issues, have you seen the newer Cummins problem lol! I deleted my 16’ Denali when the warranty ran out. Haven’t had an issue ever, 140k hard miles on it now.

@@markive9907 if your cp4 went out then you should have put a cp3 in it instead. They are a much more reliable injection pump than the cp4. Duramax trucks starting in 2011 switched to the cp4 from the cp3. Ram also runs the cp4 pump in their trucks.

Hi TJ, thanks for taking request on what we want to see. When willing to another shoot after motorcycles at this auction sight can find some minivans or any type of luxury conversion van. I like vans more than trucks now. There is something really cool with Chrysler Pacificas so don't focus on the 3 foreign made brands. I have been in one and from driving GM cargo vans from U-Haul. Vans give you height and are more easier to into than passenger cars. So van segment has grown on me than trucks. They gone up in value on the used car market to this past year but recently is coming down again. Trucks do have better center consoles with more comfort arm rest from van narrow arm rest in captain chairs. However minivan have all the luxury in the back than just a plain metal box. I just want to know if if there is worth getting back on the road.
That 3rd gen dodge is 👌. The fire was probably due to poor installation of the aftermarket gauge or other accessories. PS. I hope you tell the buyers of these Nissans that they were flooded. Floods cause major rust issues down the road

Engine fires in 24 valves is actually unfortunately very common I don't remember exactly which part it is but one of the parts in the fuel system breaks down over time and it starts spewing fuel all over the engine bay get the fuel too close to the exhaust system or you got a little bit of an exhaust leak you can see where this is going or you get a couple of Sparks from the battery or the starter yeah I have a buddy who had his 24 valve engine bay absolutely covered in diesel and he caught it before it caught fire but one of his buddies that has the exact same truck but in a different color he didn't catch it in time and his did catch on fire and that's exactly where the fire starts is right there at the back of the engine
It’s not just the Cummins that has high pressure fuel system that can rupture injector lines thay all have high pressure fuel systems and they all are subject to a fuel leak between the injection pump and the head . The early dodge dually 1996 and up I’m not sure exactly when Dodge fixed the problem but they had a recall because of fire possibility . It wasn’t a fuel problem it was something under the dash. My dad bought a 1996 new and he had to bring in to a dealer for this recall. I have been around dodge trucks and ford trucks a fairly long time and I haven’t heard but one case where a fuel line ruptured and the leak sprayed towards the turbo and the exhaust was actually hot enough to catch fire. Second thing they are refining diesel now days that doesn’t burn unless there’s a continuous ignition source. If you don’t believe me get a gallon of diesel and stack a pile of wood and try to start a fire with it.
@@Dirtydigger Neither one of my trucks caught fire. Both blew #4 injector line. One is 06 , the other 04.5. The whole engine bey is saturated and you’re stranded. It sucks when it happens.
@@LoneWolf-cf5tp yup I don’t know exactly when they started refining diesel fuel that doesn’t catch fire but I drove trucks cross country over four decades and trucks carry hundreds of gallons of fuel most of the trucks I drove back in the day had two 150 gallon or two two hundred gallon when a truck was in a wreck and a tank was ruptured fire was imminent so it was dangerous to remove people from any vehicle involved with the truck. You can find videos of trucks rolling over on their side at high speed and sliding a couple hundred feet burst into flames from the leaking fuel and the sparks from the metal slide on the road it burns until it stops and immediately goes out
2005 and 06 5.9 cummins recall on # 3 or 4 injector tubing because it would crack and spry fuel over hot 🔥 engine. Low mileage so it probably never was taken in for the recall.

The transfer case lever is a $30 part that falls off all RAMs and takes about 30 min to fix. Happened to my 1500 twice.
I didn't know there was a such a thing as a $30 part for a RAM ! Driving a 2016 Ram 2500 6.7 diesel . The DEF sucks but Love the truck .

That would have to be a crazy high resistance on the crossover cable because so little current is pulled when it is not actively cranking the engine.

Yeah on my old service truck Dodge 5500 the lever for 4WD it broke on the side of the case. Moved back n forth like this one. Could be an easy fix
Transmission and the motor tuning. Hear that whap on fire up, shut it off and wait for another three minutes to restart.
Yep took everything off of the truck from the aftermarket tune that was on it.. check out the PCM and other controllers.

Reach up by the steering column and disconnect the brake shift solenoid, easy fix on my dad's truck

A Cummins has no glow plugs Thay use a grid heater not glow plugs so the only time you have to wait to start is when it’s below 60 dregrees out

@@Dirtydigger Neither one of my trucks caught fire. Both blew #4 injector line. One is 06 , the other 04.5. The whole engine bey is saturated and you’re stranded. It sucks when it happens.
@@LoneWolf-cf5tp yup I don’t know exactly when they started refining diesel fuel that doesn’t catch fire but I drove trucks cross country over four decades and trucks carry hundreds of gallons of fuel most of the trucks I drove back in the day had two 150 gallon or two two hundred gallon when a truck was in a wreck and a tank was ruptured fire was imminent so it was dangerous to remove people from any vehicle involved with the truck. You can find videos of trucks rolling over on their side at high speed and sliding a couple hundred feet burst into flames from the leaking fuel and the sparks from the metal slide on the road it burns until it stops and immediately goes out

2005 and 06 5.9 cummins recall on # 3 or 4 injector tubing because it would crack and spry fuel over hot 🔥 engine. Low mileage so it probably never was taken in for the recall.
I like those new Nissans Tk. it looks like it could be a great deal on a new car. maybe the flood wasn't too bad. I think the fact that it is brand new helps the car ✌ I love that closing music also
