Thank you for all of your support!! This video was a real labour of love. As you can tell it’s quite different from all of the videos we’ve released before, so let us know if you like it!!! Someone said that next time we should mine the metals to make the ring 😂 that can be done. Also, if you haven’t already check out our website bricksanddisorder.com we have a limited jewellery collection, and we think you’ll love it. There’s an item on that site that CAN NOT be bought, unless you solve a hidden riddle in this video. I’ve been reading the comments, and some of you are so close, but also soOoOo far. Good luck! and we’ll see you soon with more renovation content, because we need a new bathroom 😄 Yeehawww friends!
@@bricksanddisordercongrats to you silliest of geese! My mother was a fine metalsmith for almost 50 years of making custom work. Most folks never learn how difficult and broad the knowledge is that you need in order to create even something as "ordinary" as a ring. What a great job you guys did in the end.
Legit lmao. I found some great artisan on esty that make custom rings with so many diff types of gems, not just diamond. That handmade touch is much more valuable to me
Embracing collaboration is definitely the way. As enticing as making rings in your bathroom may seem (Real art major hours) find a local community studio with proper PPE/equipment that you can be a part of (I know these don't exist everywhere but from maker spaces to, legit studio institutions you can pay dues to apart of, or even a couple of artists who timeshare a shipping container I'd look into local options), or a community center doing a class on ring making (honestly quite common at least in the midwest of America), this will ensure that you do not almost melt your feet off or lose your metal (sorry bricksanddisorder, glad you guys are ok lol), if all else fails bribe a knowledgeable person on metal working/casting to help (tradesmen, farmer, jeweler, art-student, art teacher you used to know etc etc) hook you up with gear/space (barn with metal working equipment, some other guys bathroom lol, college friends campus sculptural studios, or a trade metalshop) or just some supervision/instruction.
You could just opt into wooden Rings. Those are easy to mak or cheaper to buy If you don't want to do them yourself... Or just don't buy a ring and don't spend money on a wedding
As a jeweler and a teacher, I can tell you these struggles are so real for so many of my students. It takes years to master the craft but small projects like this are doable. With more research this isn't too terrible of a project honestly.
I’m the type of person that as soon as I reach any type of mistake or failure I feel like the urge to just stop there and give up. You guys have clearly showed that it’s part of the creative process and it’s really nothing to be ashamed of. I’ve loved watching all your videos so far and this is a really positive message to be spreading :))
As someone who crafts all kind of things from whatever I can find, I can tell you there's more failed ideas than successes, but it makes the successful ones feel even better.
For the riddle, here was my working out - First I found out the country they visited by looking at their footage, which I figured out was Halés turgavieté in Lithuania. I then looked at the final line more closely, which was "bears a mischievous name". Turns out "bear" in Lithuanian is "Lokys", which is incredibly similar to Loki, god of mischief. I looked for places in Lithuania for places which had the name "Lokys" or were related. One such place was the Lokėnėliai village, which, when i looked at, had a lake which was identical to the lake in which an egg was thrown at Cullen. there is an archaeological site nearby, so I imagine that the coin is somewhere there. Good luck!
I feel like you guys walk into every situation like "How can we overcomplicate this situation the most?" and then somehow knock it out of the park every time. Love watching your videos, only channel I watch religiously. Congrats Cullen!!!
Idk which of your ladies made those beautiful cakes you lit, but bravo. And if they didnt, they're still amazing for all the shenanigans you put them through. Great video boys. 🤘🏾🤘🏾
This video was so full of character, love the usual editing/vid style but this was so unique and special. Huge 'grats Cullen (and to ola for what was clearly a home run of a speech)! I would say hope it went well but the pics speak for themselves
Casting is hard! Especially with a small, thin shape like a ring. There’s a reason the pros have all this fancy pre-heated vacuum chamber stuff. I’m impressed
This is genuinely the most beautiful video on this platform, the care, the love, Cullen being stressed about not being a good husband, Ola running around helping, it's incredible. The wedding photos too? Incredible.
genuinely one of my favorite channels on youtube at the moment. the dedication, the craft, the humor, all just spot on. really appreciate you lads and your creative ventures. keep it up!
BABE WAKE UP, THERES A NEW BRICKS AND DISORDER VID!!!! No but fr watching this process was so fascinating, I commend your patience and willingness to try again and again and again! Beth is a lucky girl!
That's why we did make them at a jewellers workshop. They melted the alloy beforehand and made it into strips that we then made into the rings. They had the tools and they explained to us how to do every step. Was also a bit more expensive than your rings, but the memories are priceless.
You guys make top notch videos. I appreciate all the beautiful editing and the creativity! If I were to recommend some of the best content on UA-cam you’d be one of the channels
I was very stressed giving that there was no plan B, but by mercies of fate it always works out! all my stressed melted away when I saw the photos are how beautiful the rings complimented Beth's. the pictures really brought home that its about love and community. great job! till next video
This is so perfect! It's so you to make these rings yourself and then mess up so much but still end up with these perfect rings!! Amazing work! I was grinning the whole way through
Congrats on getting married🎉🥳 The best part about the both of you is that you don't give up You two are soo amazingly talented people may god bless you and protect the people that you love and care about 💖✨️
Awwwwwwweeeeeeee, congratulations! The pictures at the end almost made me cry :') Y'all really made those beautiful rings. Wow! You guys are the perfect example of: "You can do anything!" Also, my guess for where the stag do party was held is the Netherlands!
I make a lot of things from random materials, including rings. Never done any casting, but I've made a couple from some brass pipe fittings and 1/2"-5/8" ground rod clamps. Much cheaper, and easier when I'm just shaping something thats already close. Props to you guys for the effort, and the results!
this channel scratches an itch that hasnt been scratched since i was watching PBS every night over dinner with my dad over a decade ago. keep it up!!!!!!
Mannnn I don't even know yall in person but, seeing the wedding photos made me almost cry in joy, genuinely. Congrats to Cullen and congrats to the both of yall for being an amazing duo!
Awesome! I also made my own wedding ring, but it was on easy mode by doing it as part of a jewelry course, and using silver rather than gold! I say that my wedding ring cost me $10 worth of silver (ignoring the course fees of course...). Way less stress than your journey, but the extra satisfaction you guys would have got from doing the casting yourself is invaluable!
The wedding photos at the end made me tear up a little, congratulations on your wedding! Making the rings with your best man puts such a beautiful and special touch to the beauty of them. Wishing many happy years for the newlyweds!! ❤🎉
Thanks for the effort of making these videos, from the ups and downs of the creative projects to the editing. This channel is truly a treat because the infrequent updates make it more special. And congrats Cullen!

This was so sweet and funny! I love your guys' channel, and thank you for showing how the process of creating things is never a smooth sailing, but a process with creative solutions. Congrats!
Congratulations to both of you boys for managing to create such amazing rings with such a deep level of uniqueness and history to them! And congratulations Cullen on getting married! The wedding looked absolutely amazing!
This video reminds me why you guys are one of my favourite UA-cam channels of all time, since I watched your first video a year ago. Beautiful video and storytelling, pleaaase post more like this. Or any video in general really!

From making chairs to eating from the bathroom to making a ring and getting married. These two had come a long way.
